    agree with everything but your stance on ping. ping is insanely important and would bring it up a notch for anyone trying to get better. it's also how far you are from a server. i have 500down/50up but currently in Puerto Rico and i get 60-70 ping in a pub and 30-40 in creative. when I lived in Philadelphia I had 0 ping. East server is somewhere around New York

    • @connorrine6460
      @connorrine6460 6 місяців тому +3

      My suggestion would be this: Alter your play style to be significantly more aim based while only utilizing the most basic and consistant mechanical maneuvers. Furthermore I believe what Marren meant in regards to ping and just equipment in general is that you should do everything in your power to change your circumstances. Marren realized his dream, and so he worked hard to move out so he could stream. If you seriously want to go pro than you should consider a similar idea.

    I think one of the most important things you have to do if you really want to improve at any game or skill is that if you lose don't blame it on anything or anyone but yourself, the only instance you can blame it on something else is if your game was completely frozen and you couldn't do anything. Even if you genuinely feel like your death was out of your control remember, it was your fault and you could have played better, look into what you could have done better in that situation.

    Can say up to point 4, its true. I never made it past that. Got into playing scrims. Was climbing and grinding arena. Playing tourneys. Got some top 3k placements and then fell way off. Burnout. I'm a 30 yo with a kid and full time job, so devoting any freetime i had to the game was tough. Still love fortnite, but with the removal of syphon, it removed me from the game. I come back for creative and some pubs every now and then, but that was the nail in the coffin for me.

    My biggest problem in improving in gaming is ranked anxiety. I get it super bad and if I’m in stressful situations I get shaky. Once I get eliminated it’s hard for me to queue up again because I am still shaking. I wish it wasn’t like that but I get so nervous. Wish I knew how to fix it.

    • @vicvm.
      @vicvm. 6 місяців тому +2

      Take a day off to create an alt account and play nonstop solo ranked trying to get 30kills+ every match dropping Tilted until you get to Unreal.
      It helps to build confidence and agressive play.
      It works because you will start in a really low rank where you know that you are much better than everyone else and so you will be extremely confident going into the higher ranks.
      It is important not to let the confidence go away after you loose a match or two and also understand what you could have done not to die (use replays if necessary).
      Another thing that helps is for you to livestream while you’re playing solos, pretending that there are 100+ people watching you so that you don’t feel so lonely playing.
      DON’T EVER PUT YOURSELF DOWN AFTER LOSING A LOW RANK GAME TO SOMEONE BAD THINKING YOU ARE TERRIBLE WHEN YOU ARE ACTUALLY GOOD.
      Only play solos.
      I hope this helps you to become confident and fix anxiety.

    it's pretty unclear to me what reaching top # of player means from where you said them do you mean tourney placement or rank overall in the current season in unreal at the time? guessing tournaments and what would your opinion be on a zero build enjoyer instead or do you believe the video applies to both parties? is it even viable as a zero build player or more so, as there are many more of those tournament as of late and it seems to be going in that direction. i do like the video tho and did solo aggro rush playstyle to unreal in nae solo zb from gold to unreal, it helped a lot with getting my ego to a point where im incredibly confident when aiming against any player from any angle im fighting at including left hands and sprinting to the right and then sliding out to make it a harder shot for them when there's no other way out and you cant hit a rift/use shockwave as grap is preferrable for me as the charges and control with less of an easy to track arc. i dont play everyday though and i coach some unreal streamers, one i see a ton of potential in as a teammate for tourneys, and plan on speedrunning unreal builds the same way i did zb solos. wish me luck im gonna get a new pc on am5 with an 7800x3d and 7900xt variant and a new monitor and i think i can defiantly impress top players i just need to be able to network as i dont have any known pros added to my knowledge. last question what is a free software that i could use to edit my content with thats noob friendly, thanks if you read

    I never made it past top 1k on west so it means I was never meant to go pro I think my best was around top 500 in the region but honestly looking back I blamed being on 60 ping and packet loss for why I wasn’t placing when I never actually practiced the game and I only played tournaments and a few scrims… tldr don’t be like me if u wanna go pro and grind the game. Majority of my old friends from solo snipe discords in 2018 are now pros, the only thing that matters is your dedication

      You blamed ping, but wiith reason, it's one of the pilars of the game

      Definitely, especially when you start getting into laggier games like heats/semi finals before grands its impossible to play if ur over 60 ping@@deltascythe5958

    Im top 950 in nac for the year of 2023 and top 490 for the OG season right now and im in the pro sever for vital and im hella inconsistent with tourny placements and yes i have earnings but i should have more than what i have now, but its my fault. Im gonna get on the grind now so be ready to see banana bandit on the top of the leaderboards.

    1:54 I always get mad when I die in a stupid way and just quit while probably if I got into a few more games I probably would've done better

    You can reach unreal with a 60 fps pc
    But you cant play cups with the same setup because of endgames
    I switched from a laptop that could run 80 fps if i did tweaks to a 165 fps laptop and i did my earnings in no time

    Hey man, good video, I have a question, is age a limitation? Now I'm 18, does that stop me from competing? Even if I train a lot and dedicate myself enough, would my "advanced" age end up hindering my progress?

      Hinder yes, stop no, as an adult you have to focus on getting a safe back up, get a part time job doesnt have to be crazy but make sure you have time for working on your game while being able to save up a little back up plan
