Dr.Orde do you have any review article that goes over this excellent discussion. I am community hospital intensivist in the US and appreciate nepeans lectures
hey...as ever, fantastic FOAMED resource. currently completing all your videos in prep for the EDEC exams. just wondering...why are some Australian docs doing the american CCEeXAM board exams?
Good question. When we talk ASE qualification, we’re taking ASeCXAM (TTE cardio exam) 2 main reasons 1. Cardiology qualification so great focus on accurate reporting and provides very solid basis for valve and haemodynamic assessment. Dovetails v nicely with more clinical crit care echo qualification. Hope makes for well rounded echo Dr. 2. Political. Over here often Cardio not sure what qualifications mean. If have these ASE qualifications (esp FASE) then Cardio knows exactly. Can cut through the BS.
@@echoatnepean1512 thanks for taking the time to reply...definitely can appreciate point 2 over here too...particularly with the low number of people with BSE L2 so cardiology will often not take seriously our echo opinions.
