I understand your appreciation for this trilogy. One of the main things that all of you who do reactions on the Star Wars movies have missing is time, specifically the passage of time. Because of the way they were initially released, there was so much anticipation and so much buildup as each movie came out. The hype that was created and the massive excitement as each movie was released was bound to let many people down just because they spent all that time in anticipation. Yes, you'll get many people let down by the prequels and many by the sequels. It's possible you might have felt the same way had you waited years to see the next movie. I've noticed most reaction channels don't have issues with the prequels or sequels, and it's mainly due to not having to wait years in anticipation.
@@RichAraujo yeah I think I did mention that in one of my videos. I can understand why people who are very passionate about Star Wars and are long time fans have issues with these films, I just don’t understand the constant arguing and fighting with people just because they do like them
@@AbbyJaneReacts Sorry, I must have missed that. My comment must seem like a bit of an echo. Yes, there's an incredible rabid aspect that a portion of the fanbase has. It's funny, though, because George Lucas himself has said that it's a silly space opera made for kids. He said that when the originals came out, and he repeated it when the prequels came out. He said that the reason a lot of the original fans didn't like it, because they grew up, and the prequels, like the originals, were made for kids.
It's been almost 10 years since 7 released and many are still with a sour taste in their mouth from this trilogy which says more than enough about its quality.
@@Starkiller2725 I think it says everything about their state of minds. Just look at the prequel hate that went on for over 10 years. Now look where we're at with the fandom regarding the prequels.
0:38 to 0:39 - There's also the Ewok movies. 2:04 to 2:20 - Mustafar has changed. No more lava. Ren and his men were fighting Vader loyalists protecting the Wayfinder. 3:03 to 3:06 - Rest in peace, James Earl Jones. 3:33 to 3:39 - Only his master, Darth Plagueis, could do it. Palpatine wanted to discover the secret to how Plagueis did it. Ultimately, he succeeded in cheating death. His life essence transferred itself into a replica. 6:18 to 6:23 - Dominic Monaghan. 15:15 to 15:23 - When I saw the Force Lightning, even I was like, "Oh, sh*t!" 16:53 to 16:56 - My thoughts exactly! 18:15 to 18:22 - That's JJ Abrams voicing D-0. 23:53 to 23:58 - My jaw DROPPED at that twist! 24:02 to 24:06 - Not sure if the novelization explains it further or not. 30:21 to 30:28 - UGH!!! Chewie just breaking down like that STILL breaks my heart!!! All those close to him - Han, Luke, and Leia - are all gone. 30:49 to 32:04 - Ford likely wanted his cameo to be uncredited. 34:3334:35 - Billie Lourd, Carrie's daughter, was the digital stand-in for her mother in that flashback. 36:42 to 36:48 - He planned for that to happen with Luke, but that didn't work. 37:11 to 37:12 - Sith loyalists. 39:01 to 39:03 - The shrug. Like father, like son. 42:09 to 42:46 - I know! The voices of Anakin (Hayden Christensen), Obi-Wan (Ewan McGregor), Yoda (Frank Oz, one more time), Mace (Sam friggin' Jackson, baby!), Qui-Gon (Liam Neeson), Adi, Aayla, Luminara, Ahsoka (whom you're about to meet), Kanan (voiced by Freddie Prinze, Jr.), and even Luke! 46:19 to 46:22 - Warwick Davis and his son! 46:44 to 46:45 - Chewie finally got his medal. 50:01 to 50:04 - That's not what the fans thought when Return of the Jedi first came out. Also, Leia in this film was actually unused footage from the previous two films since TLJ was her last one. JJ Abrams didn't wanna use CGI like Gareth Edwards did in Rogue One. Leia's daughter and brother gave him their blessing, but there were instances when a stand-in was needed, like the training flashback scene. Edit: Regarding Luke in TLJ, I see it as this: The fans expected him to be the perfect hero: Badass, all-knowing, etc., but The Last Jedi comes along and shows that every hero has their flaws, and Luke is sadly no exception. He said he thought he could train his nephew, pass on his knowledge, and die knowing the galaxy would be in good hands, but when he saw darkness in the boy, he told Rey, and I quote, "In the briefest moment of pure instinct, I thought I could stop it! It passed like a fleeted shadow. And I was left with shame and with consequence." Even Yoda reminded Luke that failure is the greatest teacher of all. 2nd edit: The people who originally hated the Prequels have actually appreciated them more, especially since they're quote-unquote "George Lucas's story" and the Sequels released by Disney quote-unquote "were NOT Star Wars". People are STILL hating on Disney Star Wars. 3rd edit: There IS a new trilogy on the way, supposedly.
To piggyback on your Luke idea... Yes we 'expected' a better Luke cus hes already gone through his journey! He stood up to Vader AND Palpatine and overcame darkness, that means he should be pretty much immune to all dark thoughts by now!! Obi Wan and Yoda never had as bad writing as Luke got. They had a past but they never walked around feeling sorry for themselves and wanted to DIE!!! They accepted they had messed up in 1 way or another and tried to give Luke all the tools that was necessary cus they still believed in the Jedi code.
This is my favorite of the trilogy. I had tears along with, a 59 year old guy! Kylo couldn't really survive with all his crimes. He had a redemption like his grandfather did and both died. One thing you need to realize is that when Snoke held Rey In the air interrogating her, the emperor's theme is playing strongly for a reason. It was a foreshadow. Also Vader being Luke's father and Leia Luke's sister both came out of left field as much as the emperor being I this. What did Han do in empire except rescue Luke and Leia besides get betrayed captured and Frozen? Poe and Finn did just at much. They got the message from the spy, they recused chewy. They formulated the plan to take down the first order, Finn blew up the command ship. Poe led the fleet They did plenty, just as much as Leia and Han in 5 and 6. Just my thoughts. I really think this one has so much more than the other two.
Don’t listen to the haters. Just form your own opinion. The sequels weren’t really as bad as people say. I enjoy them for what they are, despite how it’s treated.
The Leia aspect of this film, is one thing JJ had done his best with in my opinion. Having to keep a character, when Carrie Fisher was no longer with us at the time of filming was a tall order.
Also, hi! GenXer here who saw the originals in theaters back in the 70s and 80s, there's nothing wrong with liking the sequels more the the prequels. For me it's the prequels far more than the originals and sequels, but that's the beauty of Star Wars. There's something for everyone. 🍻
The reason this movie feels so disconnected and kinda random from the previous ones is because after episode 8 was hated by a lot of people, Disney desperately tried to please as many fans as possible with this one, and tried to undo as much as they could from the previous one by going back to formula hence why Palpatine was brought back. Great video and hope you continue with the rest of the Star Wars series!!
Great reaction young Jedi!!!! We have a few different opinions but mainly agree on most. This one was my favorite of the 3. I loved the twist of Rey being a Palpetine, most thought she was a Kenobi or a Skywalker. And it showed that just because someone in your family is bad doesn't mean you can't be good. Plus she was taken in by Luke and Leia so more or less she was adopted into the family. Also, don't know if you realized it but Ben succeeded in what Anikin so desperately tried to do and failed to do, he saved the one he cared about from dying. He transferred all his lifeforce into Rey, giving his life so she could live. Looking forward to the Obi-wan series and hopefully Ashoka, Mandalorian and Boba Fett after that. Have a great week young Jedi and may the Force be with you!!!!!!
JJ Abrams and Lawrence Kasdan had a lot on their shoulders with Leia considering Carrie Fisher passed away shortly before production began on this film.
At no point do you feel that Rey is going to turn to the dark side just like Luke in Original trilogy. Both are too goody two shoes so no there's tension or excitement. However, with Anakin, you do, especially if you start with the prequels and don't know about Vader's origins. That's a merit to the actor who while he is the hero he still has a dark aura to him. Very few actors can boast of that.
That was awesome and I appreciate your perspective. I went into the films kind of expecting George's method of choosing to do the least expected thing -- always something different. They're definitely.... mostly George's ideas even if they aren't all of his ideas.
I personally think this trillogy is the shittiest trillogy i have ever seen and an insult to the star wars brand as a whole (and the whole fantasy/scifi genre) but i wish i had the pov of the average viewer to be able to stomache it a bit more.
You can’t say your theory after it’s already been revealed it becomes a lot less credible. Also nobody cares if you give a wrong theory that just makes you more relatable and proves you actually haven’t watched something before. My theory was that kylo and Rey were related. I just felt they were redoing the original I like the way they went with it though
Oooohhh you made me cry today... you looked so emotional!!! You did enjoy this journey through all lth emovies... Welcome to the Star Wars fan club!!! You're amazing. 😍🌹
And thus the trilogy ends no different than the originals, except the entire Skywalker bloodline has been wiped out and Palpatine's bloodline lives on... Everything Anakin and Luke did was for nothing because "I'm a Jedi Master in 1 year!" is the center of the universe.
Fans did not like Lukes character arc because it went against everything Luke is. Luke is the epitome of hope. He saw light in Vader when everyone else thought he was too far gone to be redeemed, yet he tried to kill his sister’s son because he was falling to the dark side? It makes no sense. I enjoyed films, but it was clear that there was not coherent plan from The Force Awakens to Rise of Skywalker.
You think you understand Luke's character but you, and everyone who hates his character arc in the sequel trilogy, clearly don't understand his character.
Don't be so worried or upset about what's going on in the world right now. We can't control it. If there's one thing i learned in life, it's to never worry about things we can't control. Keep your chin up!
Well it seems like newer generations are gonna like this trilogy just like the newer generation liked the prequel trilogy. But one thing can never change no matter what you say or think: Empire Strikes Back is still the best film.
From a casual prospective this is already a thing. If you mean the quote on quote hardcore fandom no these films will never be loved the hatred is bigger than the prequel trilogy ever was (can’t believe I can say that). I’ve never seen polls with literally 100,000+ votes and only ONE PERCENT voted the sequel trilogy as best. Maybe those communities are just biased towards ppl who hate the sequels (which in of itself is telling) but 1% with that ratio is just something I’ve never seen
@ Yeah, but I’m talking about10-15 years in the future. Revenge of the Sith was really hated in its time, now the kids who watched it back then in 2006 and are grown up now say it’s the best Star Wars movie. (Also the sequels have made the prequels look like masterpieces, but that’s beyond my point). My point is, people like Abby Jane will like the sequels. I have no idea why she is so obsessed with Kylo Ren/Adam Driver. Kids who are below 12-15 years of age and those lower of lower and those to come will like the ST. This video reaction in which this girl absolutely love this film just proves my point.
@ People like Abby are casuals viewers who mainly want to be entertained is what I’m getting at. People like that already love the sequels they’re designed to appeal to that crowd. They aren’t gonna flip over stuff like Rey as a noob defeating Kylo with the excuse that Kylo is injured when that’s obviously not a justification for what should be an overwhelming power gap I don’t foresee them ever being well received by the majority who are more analytical. And one major difference with the prequel trilogy is that a lot of didn’t (and still don’t) understand Anakin’s character. Not saying the prequels are amazing they have lots of shortcoming so does the original trilogy in fact I’m of an opinion that’s just as controversial, prequel>original (not that great) But there really isn’t any way to spin the sequels story in a positive light. Even if we ignore the ways it takes a dump on the original MCs its own characters and narrative are painfully average at best Kylo was the closest thing they had to a decent character and even he has a one dimensional redemption When we say anything will eventually be loved I have to ask well then can they just literally make anything with flashy action and forced emotion and it’s good? Standards completely out the window?
@@KurokamiNajimi First of all, did you just say the prequels are better than the originals? Second, I could never imagine that the prequels would ever be considered good and masterclasses. But it’s happened! The prequels are now revered. There is a very famous documentary released in 2010, I don’t know if you’ve heard of it but it’s a must watch, called The People vs. George Lucas. That doc show the hatred that people had for the prequels. People were saying stuff like George Lucas ruined their childhoods. My main point is, the future, if they even see anything related to Star Wars at all, will like the ST. Abby Jane is not the first girl I’ve seen drooling over Adam Driver, whether the movie is good or not. Her reaction to the ST is basically the first reaction of how people will perceive Star Wars in the future. We wasted 7 years to see the movies. Newer generations will just see the ST in 3 days, so they won’t have a building up hatred like we had.
@ If someone watched the sequel trilogy first yeah that eliminates a lot of the core issues but once they backtrack they’d realize how bad it is (again not necessarily entertainment wise but writing). Yeah I did ROTJ is my 2nd favorite film (ironically the so called worst of the OT or at least that use to be the case idk if opinions on that has changed) but that’s partly because the existence of prequel content elevated it. I find the OT as a stand alone story pretty average tbh When I was younger I use to like them more equally sometimes even feeling like the OT was better but once I got older and looked back on all of it with different criteria especially with the existence of TCW and ROTS novelization…just doesn’t hold up anymore. TPM I can see how some would find it boring but I don’t see it that way bc I appreciate what it’s meant to do which is just to set things in motion. It has one of the best lightsaber duels and Qui-Gon was a cool character. AOTC has a little bit of cringe with how they made Hayden act and some of the dialogue but at least I can just laugh at it. Plot wise only thing I really didn’t like was how they didn’t explain Sifo Dyas’ involvement They didn’t even have to explain it in AOTC but not there nor ROTS seemed like a decision to encourage you to buy EU content. But I’ve always found AOTC oddly entertaining I like the dynamic between Anakin/Obi-Wan and Anakin/Padme. The irony is that all the deleted scenes for them in AOTC would have added more to it it better articulated Padme’s struggle between romance and duty. I think it did a better job at showing off the world of the republic/old galaxy than TPM and ROTS. Lightsaber fight was a little underwhelming but the BOG was good My main critic of TPM and AOTC is just that the major points should have been combined into one film OR maybe just don’t do only 3 films why couldn’t we have 4 5 even 6 prequel films? TCW ended up fixing this issue but without that we’d have been screwed unless you want to try and piece together a cohesive experience from the old EU which is much harder to get into and I’m not even sure it’s as great as many fans of it like to pretend I’ve never been able to get into it And even TCW while having a lot of good is by no means a masterpiece it could have been that much greater and maybe it would have if Disney didn’t screw us out of a full season 6, 7, and 8. That would somewhat explain certain things (still could have been expanding on certain characters beforehand) given that season 4-5 and some of 3 is when it started to take itself more and more seriously. I watched the unfinished episodes one of the story arcs showed how Anakin was unbalanced and had a little bit of regression in response to Ahsoka’s departure idk if you’ve seen his convo with Obi-Wan about it. They were gonna have an arc with Darth Maul and Dooku another with Ventress and more reason for Anakin to doubt the Order. I start getting pissed when I think about it fuck Disney lol
@ That doesn’t disprove ANYTHING I just said. lol yourself lol. She wasn’t “originally supposed to be” anything. It was ONE idea that was thrown around and quickly discarded as fast as it was thought up. L O L.
I enjoyed the sequel trilogy. I understand what the people who did not like them did not like. But I still like them. However, I do like the prequels better. I like your review, good job.
The saga ends with the Palpatine’s achieving ultimate victory over the Skywalkers, burying the lightsabers in the sand that Anakin hates and stealing their name
@@Voltarshe does steal it, she jas absolutely not bond with Luke, all they did was have a history talk and then she fucked off, and her and Leia had the weirdest bond to the point Leia goes to hug a random girl when Han dies instead of Chewie, she is literally the definition of a mary sue, everyone has to love her and like her because the story demands it even though there is no logicall reason for it.
@@javierlopez9789 agreed everything they do with her is just illogical the very definition of a Mary sue, everyone's stories anakins, lukes don't matter in the end because palpatine survived and rey comes and saves the day because she's the best and kills palpatine forever, then steals the name of a man she barley even liked, the best thing they could have done in the 3rd film was have rey turn to the dark side and kylo back to the light but no, rey is a mary sue and is the best
abby, spice is like the crack of star wars, it is a heavy drug, in the first movie, c3po said to r2, we might be sent to the spice mines of Kessel, i always wondered what that would look like.. you have some more movies and tv shows to watch
It's a rollercoaster, for sure. They definitely should have teased the emperor's return (and not in Fortnite). This film was rushed compared to the other two. Part of the problem was that it was supposed to be Leia's swan song, but unfortunately, Carrie Fisher had already passed away. They had to use unused footage from episode 7 to make her few scenes. JJ Abrams also hadn't intended to finish the trilogy but he was brought back last minute too. Finn and Ben deserved better. I still love the sequels though (even if this one is indeed the weakest). I totally recommend watching Heroes Fan Production's The Last Skywalker. It's a beautiful recapping tribute to the Skywalker saga. 💖
Yeah. It wasn’t built up. JJ made The Force Awakens like a TV show pilot…introduced the characters, the settings, and teased a bunch of stuff with NO PLANS for where it was going to go. Then the Rian Johnson (written/director of The Last Jedi) went…nah. Killed Snoke, undid most of what JJ laid out, introduced his own characters (Rose, DJ, etc…created the diad thing, Rey didn’t have a backstory, and divided the fandom. Then they had someone else come in to finish the trilogy. Kylo went full dark side. But Disney decided that JJ had to course correct. So he spent most of TROS undoing what Johnson did. Of course, Snoke was gone at that point so he brought back Palpatine. Just like with TFA, JJ just made up what he thought would look good on film without any consideration about how he got there. I mean, everyone in the resistance was on the Falcon at the end of episode 8 (and nobody came to their aid). But half the Galaxy shows up at the end of TROS. Regardless of your thoughts about what Johnson did, most fans hated episode 9. JJ is responsible for this mess. He should have had a plan for the whole trilogy. Instead, everyone is trying to ignore what they did before…
Rey's development is such a mess. In TFA they thought she could be a Kenobi, then in TLJ the director wanted her to be a nobody, and in TROS they made her a Palpatine because they wanted her to be related to *someone* 😂
It's definitely a tug of war between different visions. I still enjoy the films and I do think the back story stuff they're setting up now will eventually fill in the gaps and fix some of the plot holes (like how Clone Wars and Rebels helped make the OT and PT fit together better), but ultimately, I wish that sort of patchwork wouldn't be necessary. Having a grand plan ahead of time definitely should have happened.
JJ never had a game plan with this trilogy.. even Daisy Ridley admits this in an interview. First she was supposed to be a Kenobi, then a Skywalker(you can see this in the second teaser for TFA), then a nobody, then a Kenobi, then a nobody again until after TLJ it was decided she would be a Palpatine. Rian Johnson added to that headache by shitting on everything JJ did in the first one. It really is nothing but a jumbled mess of a story that makes no sense in the Star Wars saga and all anyone can do is try to ret-con it with theory and fan-fiction. In the end none of this is part of canon.
Being a teenager when I first saw Star Wars in 1977, I have been a fan as long as I remember and yes there are flaws in this trilogy but then again, there were so many cringy moments for me in all of the Star Wars films and I have to remind myself that George Lucas originally meant it to be made for kids. I did enjoy watching your emotions rise and fall and was happy that you have grown to love Star Wars the way I did. I'm 65 now and still have Star Wars figurines, helmets, posters, wallpapers, and many other collections including new ones from Andor as almost all the movies and TV shows have been good in my eyes. Unlike many of the "woke", I loved that Rey called herself a Skywalker in the end and found it fitting. I don't get why people say she was a Mary Sue or whatever that is. There are many in the real world with true in-born talent that never had any training and yet are maestros in their own craft. Why shouldn't a being born with the blood of a Palpatine not have hidden powers? I look forward to more of your reactions Abby. Thanks!
There's a reason why you felt disconnected. Disney didn't handle this trilogy well AT ALL. They had no overall story before they started. They hired one director to do the first movie (The Force Awakens), then handed the second (The Last Jedi) to a different director, who didn't know what the first was doing. He took it in VERY strange directions, and left it as a mess for the third movie (The Rise Of Skywalker). They brought back the director from the first movie, to tie everything together. The original test screening was BOMBED because, among other things, they killed off Chewie. It cost a FORTUNE in rewrites and reshoots to fix everything. All things considered, it's much better than it has any right to be. It's still not great, but it's entertaining enough. There's a bigger issue with this being a bait & switch for the fans. It's sold as numbered episodes in a saga, but it changes a lot of the canon, lore, magic system etc that it's more of a REBOOT, than a SEQUEL. The problem is that they didn't fully go with it, and cast new actors etc. The way the Force works, feels wrong. The same with the way Hyperspace works. Look at how often the characters are jumping from planet to planet to planet in this movie. How fast can they travel? I've been a Star Wars fan since I was knee-high to Yoda. I remember watching the first viewing of Star Wars, broadcast on TV, way back in like 1980. It's the only interest that I've carried over into adulthood. I'm now 52. Most of this time was spent in the 300+ Expanded Universe novels; now known as Legends. These were canon, until Disney bought the franchise, and relegated almost EVERYTHING to the lower shelves, as COMPLETE. Disney kept the canon from the Original and Prequel Trilogies, and started with a clean slate. Everything they're released, is their interpretation of the universe, and how it works. Everything up UNTIL then, was the George Lucas era. He owned it 100% and did whatever he wanted with it. Some good, some, not so good. At least it's all cohesive. He was VERY active in everything that was going on, and exactly how he wanted his visions carried out. Like it or not, it's two eras. It's just something to keep in mind as you watch. The Lucas era is movies 1 to 6, the Clone Wars movie, seasons 1 to 6 of the Clone Wars Cartoon Network show, and the OG Clone Wars Vol1 & 2. We won't mention stuff like the Ewok movies. There is a very well acclaimed oddball, in Rogue One. I feels like an Expanded Universe war story, set in the Star Wars universe, yet it was a 2015 Disney era product. The TV series vary in quality too. It's all personal preference.
Do you actually believe that blog of nonsense? Look at the stark contrast between *Star Wars* and *The Empire Strikes Back* and tell me the ST is not what George wrote. Sure, he wrote it a little differently because he was planning on having a younger trio, but the misdirection and ambiguity match what he learned from changing the story from *Splinter of the Mind's Eye* (1978) and starting the same arguments we're having today. This has been going on since the originals. They switched a few characters around, held off on the Microbiotic deep dives (most likely because they saw potential going in a few directions, one being the fans wouldn't understand it well enough; two, they didn't understand it well enough to do it right, or technology needed to be better, and the third in my mind would be sprinkling it throughout the shows and movies between to let it sink in with the fandom). The "Plan" was his story treatments adapted to be later in the timeline. Much of what else happens; Leia being the hero of her trilogy isn't feasible with Carrie Fisher. Luke, Han and Leia will have to be recast or deep-faked in the timeline he intended. There had to be some changes, but the employees and Kathy claim they didn't make any wholesale changes to the story. It's all what we make of it, and nobody's wrong for thinking it should've gone differently. We're wrong for expecting it to.
I agree with some of your points, except the EU definitely wasn't all cohesive and George Lucas also didn't give a damn about it. He was just happy to let people play in his sandbox.
@@willfanofmanyii3751 The cast doesn't know what he wrote. Yes, further away in the timeline from the OT than he planned. Not so far away from the story he told. The only thing Lucas was upset about was the fact they didn't use his Microbiotic deep dive. All the other things he said were before he even watched the shows. He said all that stuff because he knew they didn't use it.
@@obviouslysub-dude9082 The original cast signed on for the sequels before the buyout, and only remained onboard because they believed Lucas would be involved. Lucas and Mark have openly talked about what would have happened in the sequels, not to mention the actual films don't match both what the story group has mentioned and the Lucas archive books have mentioned. Lucas criticized TFA, only praised the visuals of TLJ, and refused comment on TROS beyond a college event last year where he stated the sequels are far from his vision.
I agree with ranking these above 1-3. Please start live action series starting with Obi Wan series Andor series Mando seasons 1,2 Book of Boba Fett Mando 3 Ahsoka series You won't be sorry😎 Ahsoka series
I'll be honest, this is my least favourite Star Wars film, but I am very glad you liked this movie, and are officially done with the saga. This is one of my fav videos from you so far, solid reaction!
I've enjoyed all the movies. I've liked the Disney+ shows as well. If people don't like something, that's fine. It's when people start insulting people for liking something, and are unwilling to accept anything that explains why the lore isn't broken, or things that they say don't make sense.
The sequels definitely suffer from a lack of cohesion. There just feels like there was no communication on the overarching story and where things were supposed to go. Palpatine returning was never needed. Legends continuity did the same thing and it was just as terrible. Snoke was such an interesting individual character and he gets relegated to being some crappy clone of Palpatine. I’ll never understand why they did what they did to Luke. Hate it to this day. Finn is so massively underutilised and it’s depressing because he had such a strong start to his story in episode 7. The potential to be a former stormtrooper turned Jedi Knight was such a good and obvious way to go and he gets made into an afterthought. The romance thing I also didn’t care for, was just a poor storyline and wasn’t really well done either. Loved watching your reactions and hearing your thoughts! Will you be watching all the series as well? I recommend both the clone wars series as they are both brilliant in their own ways!
Great, not sure how I’ve missed your clone wars reactions but I’ll watch them too! To become a true Jedi Master, something Anakin never did, you need to watch them all 😂 We will watch your career with great interest!
@@frankducky6130 Leia was most likely gonna be killed off in ROS as each main character needed their heroic death. Han in the first one, Luke in the second one, and Leia in the last one. She had to become the Force Ghost that we see in the end of ROS. And she had a ton of screen time in Last Jedi. Probably more than Luke. Her presence did not do anything in TFA or TLJ. And I strictly believe that ROS was gonna be exactly the same with or without Leia alive. Can you give one scenario on how ROS would’ve changed if she were alive in it?
@@faisalmemon285 she would have played an active role in bringing her son back to the lightside. Instead of seeing her through unused footage with bad dialogue.
Carrie Fisher was unfortunately dead when shooting for the film started, so they use some unuse footage from the force awakens with some xgi tricks and that how we had when end up being carrie fisher last film.
50:48 It really has mostly to do with switching directors. You could tell the director of Rise of Skywalker did not like what the director of The Last Jedi did with the characters, so they put a lot of time into undoing everything The Last Jedi did. I personally really loved The Last Jedi, it’s very controversial and people love or hate it but I am one of the people who loved it because of the bold decisions it made. I would’ve really liked that director to continue and make Rise of Skywalker.. But I have heard that Rise of Skywalker’s novelization is a lot better in comparison to the movie and one of the best Star Wars novels in canon, so I might read it one day.
There isn't a single SW film I don't have some criticism of, with the possible exception of Rogue One. I still love them all though, the new one's more than the old one's but I agree w/ you about the disconnect part on the new ones and the lack of arc w/ Finn. Def something they could have done better with. Still, your reaction and clear enjoyment shone through so it's good the haters didn't sway you too much. SW fans can truly be toxic.
It’s hard to say cause I really want to rewatch them and I would probably have a better idea the second time I watch them, but at the moment it’s the empire strikes back and return of the Jedi
"somehow palpatine returned" is perhaps the most infamous line of dialogue in the fandom of all of star wars. So many fans hate that line. Its as infamous as when as "I don't like sand" like of dialogue
@@MadSlantedPowers Because bringing back such a huge character and ending the entire series on "the big bad has just randomly returned with no explanation" is really poor story telling.
@ There was an explanation. Cloning, Sith magic. He even quoted ROTS, the movie many (not me) consider the best prequel: "The Dark Side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural." So, it kinda comes full circle from the PT to the ST.
@@MadSlantedPowers I don't care what the explanation was. There was literally ZERO REASON to bring him back. It completely undid the ending of ROTJ and made it all for nothing.
@ That's kinda the point I was making. There could be an explanation that gives a reason and explains how it doesn't undo it, but you don't care. It didn't work for you. For others it did. Explanations for why it's bad won't sway me because I enjoyed it.
@@Adamantium08 Right! But if they wanted to avoid the whole 'Ben would've been put in prison if he came back with Rey' issue they should've just let him go into exile and have a real atonenement arc, which could've been explored in another movie... And he and Rey could've still seen each other whenever they wanted to because of their bond. There was literally no need to kill him, but they chose the easy way... 🙄 Now they're paying for the fact that the real last Skywalker is dead and the bloodline is gone and they have no idea how to continue the story. That's why Lucasfilm is struggling behind the scenes and they can't put a movie out.
@@xxmarjaxx The "Ben would've put in prison" is the most stupid excuse in killing him off I've ever heard. Who knew Kylo Ren was born Ben Solo, besides his extended family? Rey and Finn (I'm sure he heard Han calling him Ben on Starkiler). Who else had seen Kylo's face and would be able to identify him? Jannah and perhaps Poe (he saw him on Crait through binoculars but he was still far away). I'm sure they could have been convinced to look the other way and keep their mouths shut. After all Finn and Poe had no problem "forgetting" Hux's involvement in the destruction of the Hosnian system when he told them he was the spy. If the galaxy had been kept in the dark regarding Vader's identity for about 2 decades, why couldn't it be done with Ben as well?
Leia had to die because Carrie Fisher died after the Last Jedi filed. They just used outtakes and CGI for her in this movie. That is why Rose had no story. Her scenes were written with Leia.
Rian Johnson the director of the last jedi did Thought Rey Family backround was not important and that upset some fans. JJ Abrams the director of this film was the one who came with the idea of her being a palpatine.
Honestly subscribed to this channel bc she was the first house of the dragon pro alicent reactor. She was fair in her assessment of each character regardless of what side they represented same as I. I’ve just stuck around since
It honestly would make more sense if he was and turned out as a wise old man and Jedi master instead. He really doesn't have to take over the spotlight. lol As we might see some things and more how he beame a master and a great master, building his school to teach younglings as a padawain. And all of that. And a new trilogy is suppose to be focused on new generation of known star wars characters that's meant to be in star wars. From the comics of star wars. So say like passing the torch to the new characters and saying good bye to the older well known legendary characters from then. As it could just be half of the trilogy and for some of them to say the last final good bye from the last first trilogy characters. But I agree at least done right. Like we could of lost Han differently on his death bed, as I mean his time is up as like just say he's sick like yoda was or something. But to make it more about passing the torch to Finn to carry through the rest of this trilogy. In my opinion if some don't agree that's on you. I feel could of just died and properly say good bye to everyone and to Finn to pass the torch to him. Say like the beginning to the mid of the second movie. I mean as I say it's definitely what they deserve. And I can definitely say I agree 100%. Just for me theres a better way to tell the story of the new trilogy then instead rushing the story and characters. To know them and get to know them better. And get to know their background better. Where they actually came from and for thier story to make sense better. Cause it doesn't make sense. As you seen palpatine being a relative to Rey is shocking, surprising, confusing and hilarious. 😁😆😅😂 lol As I could never see palpatine the emperor of all people to get down with someone. Haha. Which is a good laugh. 😄😆 Also I only kinda liked the 7th one but definitely not 8 or 9 for me. The originally trilogy I loved the the Micro series the clone wars series and the 3rd and 4th movie along with the orginals. And sorta like the 1st one from the prequils kind a depends on some people and how you grew up and if you grew up with star wars. And for me it depends to hate on it too much. The way people look at and think of young anakin and his choices versus Jar jar. For me surprising I didn't mind anakin as a kid at least when I grew up with star wars and it's definitely debatable on the second one. Also i'd agree as well it's not easy being a child actor. From all the hate he got. With being a little more fair on the character and actor. And I know believe it or not, and I know, I know the actor for jar jar gave up the role after to the end of the trilogy of all the most hate for his character. Also cause surprisingly he originally wanted Jar Jar to be the big bad actually secretly but I think if I think of it correctly that Geaorge didn't want that and wasn't the vision he had in mind. At least from what I remember at least. But as I was saying believe it or not Jar jar didn't bother me that much as I grew up with star wars. But to be honest I think it's when you or I, say get older. It starts to get old as can see how he's one of the most annoying characters but for some people it grows on you overtime as getting older for some. Also to know I just only love now and before in my past and now just only with the meme's with and about jar jar. And love seeing impressions of his voice. Also it inspires me to do so to. As to joke about his character and to have fun with it. And make fun of it for fun.
Honestly, watching you, you seemed to enjoy this in real time more than the others so I thought you would say that. I was surprised you said it was your third favorite, honestly
Great video !!! They rlly done everyone with the chewy bit, imo prequels are the best, you should watch power rangers 2017 that's a good film to watch if you have nothing else to watch.
TRoS just don't make any sense whatsoever - the Death Star was utterly destroyed, there shouldn't be any wreckage, not to mention Palpatine survive it - where and when Palpatine got those hundreds of Star Destroyers with all the thousand crews? - when did Palpatine having a wife or at least a lover to give birth of Rey parent? - Rey parents must be a powerful force user, shouldn't be afraid and run away, Palpatine surely taking them as the Sith - Rey is powerful, surely Palpatine's heir is very powerful, all the schemes are not needed. The Sith Rule of Two also not needed. Palpatine and family can rule the galaxy as monarchs. No need for Anakin Skywalker or Luke Skywalker, his own heirs will be powerful enough to continue his legacy.
@@AbbyJaneReacts Before Order 66 maybe, but after, not likely 😂 He must use mind trick for it. Even so, Anakin/Vader surely know about it and taking action to eliminate the threat. luke, his own son is a threat because of Rule of Two, imagine The Emperor's heir. Anakin/Vader surely warn Luke about it after redemption, or Yoda at least sense it. It just doesn't make sense.
@@AbbyJaneReacts the canon reason is as dumb as the rest of the trilogy, she is actually not palpatine's granddaughter but the daughter of a weak clone of palpatine (the dude who was stabbed) so Palpatine didn't reproduced with anyone just his clone (who also looks nothing like him for some reason).
I didd’t dislike the sequels. My least favorite was the Last Jedi. I felt there was so much time wasted with the casino situation and Poe bucking against the Admiral and that time could have been spent with Luke and Rey training. Her issues with the dark side and his guilt and retreat from the force. Like you said they needed to copy the original with this trio of leads yet Poe and Finn really could have been removed and the story still moved forward. I stand with you with liking the sequels better than the prequels. And I only started to care about them after watching the Clone Wars and as you will soon see it’s not some KIDs animation show. The Clone Wars is some of the best Star Wars content there is.
A whole trilogy was already made to continue the original trilogy’s characters lmao during the NINETIES the fact that this is the product we got is nothing short of dissapointing
great reaction. its nice to form your own opinion instead of jumping on the hate of the sequels trilogy bandwagon. for me the last jedi was the worse one for me in my opinion i enjoyed the rest though
They made some really terrible decisions about this movie in particular. They did reveal Palpatine's return in the trailer, but the transmission that they mentioned in the start was revealed in fucking Fortnite. Finn was reduced to a screaming simp that did nothing. They fly now!(Even though their predecessors the clones flew since the Clone Wars)
abby i think they made up the planet Exegal for this movie, the Sith Home world is on Korriban, that planet is a rocky canyon planet with stone statues and temples built thousands of years ago to the Sith
Tis been fun watching all your reactions. Personally, this is probably my least favourite Star Wars movie but was sort of refreshing seeing someone like it.
there is also Andor and the Book of Boba Fett tv shows, those are good, and there is a new Star Wars tv show comijng out December 3rd, it isn't connected to any story i think so you can watch that live, it is called Skeleton Crew
Really enjoyed your reaction, Star Wars fans can be pretty tough when it comes to their favorite films, or ones they dislike, I agree with you on the Rise of skywalker, many actually don't know the original trilogy was not planned out as well, originally the force ghost that visted Luke in Empire was suppose to be Lukes Dad, so Vader being Anakin was change during filming by Irvin Kershner, anyways awesome to see you enjoy Star Wars! :) my personal favorite is Last Jedi and Empire Strikes Back.
It's been fun watching you react, very nice to get a first time opinion on all the movies. I can see why you like this more than the prequels. Though I understood them after rewatching them, when you know the general plot you can pay attention to other details, without ever 'needing' the Clone wars. I know they are complicated movies but telling some to watch 7 seasons of a show to understand the movies feels a bit weird in my opinion, just wanted to get that out there. Still, Clone wars is a great show and I am glad you are going to watch it. Also, C3-PO really needs more love, he's such a great guy.
Good for you, Abby Jane, in offering your props for this last three movies. I have Rey as one of my favorite SW characters. In truth, if these movies had come out before the original three, those three would have been criticized more. Anyway, it was fun watching with you. I do hope you watch the Obi Wan series. It starts slowly but turns out to be so well done. Have you seen LOTR? I'd bet you'd love those if you get the chance. Cheers, young lady.
When I subscribed to your channel abby you were reacting to the attack of the clones and as I'm a fan of star wars I was hooked on it especially that trilogy as I grow up to that Now I happy I did subed ur reaction vids is something I look forward to all week all the best abby 🫶

abby , for this movie, i wanted the Night Sisters of Dathomir and the Hutts to hear Leia's message from the last movie and come to take their revenge on the rebels for killing Darth Maul (obi wan) and for killing Jabba (Leia) and they would have an epic space battle with Nal Hutta space ships, we haven't seen them yet and the Night Sisters would battle Rey on the planet below with force magic, something we haven't seen yet, and the Knights of Ren would take Kylo to Korriban, to meet their true master who was using Snoke like a puppet all along, Darth Jar Jar ua-cam.com/video/1rHyf0FBvt4/v-deo.html

Ive thoroughly enjoyed your reactions of Eps 1 - 9 .... As someone who's watched SW since 1977 ive enjoyed not only the movies but the Disney TV shows. I hope you continue the path. My personal favorite is Rogue One and Andor... I hope you watch Andor... ❤
5:10 All I’ll say is that in Legends, this is a storyline they’ve done before and the outrage from people after Palpatine came back was so confusing because it was from the same crowd demanding they stick to Legends storylines but a lot of those people don’t actually research what those storylines are so in reality they got exactly what they asked for and then got mad about it. They made an assumption that because Legends was approved by George Lucas to be written, that it was good, when in reality George never even saw those books as part of his Canon. He only saw the movies and The Clone Wars as the true Star Wars timeline and you could tell people didn’t know that, nor would they care because in reality they only wanted to hate on it for their own biased reasons. If George Lucas directed this, they’d probably call it amazing.. Personally, I don’t care for it and I don’t dislike it, but it has inspired some other storylines in other series (both live-action and animated) set before this in order to give background and properly set up this storyline retroactively, and some of those have been my favorite storylines. Once you get past The Clone Wars and into The Bad Batch, you’ll see what I mean, because there was some good content to come out of this storyline even if it wasn’t anyone’s favorite.
I personally don't like Rise of Skywalker or Dark Empire but there are reasons why people who hate TRoS love DE. A lot of it is in spite of Palpatine, not because of him. Basically, DE does a lot of good things with Luke, Han, and Leia, it ends with them outliving Palpatine and rebuilding the Republic themselves, and introduces a lot of interesting lore. A lot of the hate for TRoS is because it's in the wake of what TFA and TLJ did to the original characters and the Republic. Their accomplishments are destroyed and then they were killed off before they could fix it, whereas DE takes place earlier in the timeline and the novels after DE allowed people to write it off as a momentary setback, rather than the end of everything, like TRoS. Here's a video of a guy explaining why he loves DE and hates TRoS. Personally though, I think there's a lot of bias, cause I think DE really isn't that good either.
Thanks for admitting that it's on the impatient fan who can't get over their own opinions, and not the film makers.
15:15 to 15:23 - When I saw the Force Lightning, even I was like, "Oh, sh*t!"
16:53 to 16:56 - My thoughts exactly!
34:33 34:35 - Billie Lourd, Carrie's daughter, was the digital stand-in for her mother in that flashback.
I love comments like these😩💖
@AbbyJaneReacts Just thought I'd explain and confirm some things.
@@EntertainmentFan11 I know, that’s why I really appreciate them ❤️
To piggyback on your Luke idea...
Totally agree!!!
The Emperor's theme wasn't foreshadowing; they didn't plan that.
Very true, I think they could of explain the emperor better but your right, my favorite is The Last Jedi.
@@billyd5917 last Jedi is great 👍

Don’t listen to the haters. Just form your own opinion. The sequels weren’t really as bad as people say. I enjoy them for what they are, despite how it’s treated.
Most people who hate them clearly have an agenda.
Obligatory "Don't listen to the haters" comment.
The Leia aspect of this film, is one thing JJ had done his best with in my opinion. Having to keep a character, when Carrie Fisher was no longer with us at the time of filming was a tall order.
He did save Star Wars in that way
Also, hi! GenXer here who saw the originals in theaters back in the 70s and 80s, there's nothing wrong with liking the sequels more the the prequels. For me it's the prequels far more than the originals and sequels, but that's the beauty of Star Wars. There's something for everyone. 🍻
Without the originals, there would be no prequels.
Obi and C3PO = Abby's

abby you are emotional because you have heart, that means you care , heart emoji
Thank you!!
Someone who agrees with me
Thank you!! ❤️
The silver outfit looks great on you!
Thank you! 🥹
42:32 Always loved that they included Ahsoka and a lot of characters from the Clone Wars, even Kanan from Rebels.
I laughed so hard at your reaction to kylos death lol
Im glad someone got some enjoyment from that scene
@AbbyJaneReacts it was just the way you practically rolled your eyes that made jt funny lol
Spice was regulated by the empire. Smugglers like han solo transported spice for criminals like jabba. Poe was a spice smuggler too
And thus the trilogy ends no different than the originals, except the entire Skywalker bloodline has been wiped out and Palpatine's bloodline lives on...
Everything Anakin and Luke did was for nothing because "I'm a Jedi Master in 1 year!" is the center of the universe.
Try again.
Except we can control if, if we all paid attention and tried to understand.
They aren’t gonna flip over stuff like Rey as a noob defeating Kylo with the excuse that Kylo is injured when that’s obviously not a justification for what should be an overwhelming power gap
I don’t foresee them ever being well received by the majority who are more analytical. And one major difference with the prequel trilogy is that a lot of didn’t (and still don’t) understand Anakin’s character. Not saying the prequels are amazing they have lots of shortcoming so does the original trilogy in fact I’m of an opinion that’s just as controversial, prequel>original (not that great)
But there really isn’t any way to spin the sequels story in a positive light. Even if we ignore the ways it takes a dump on the original MCs its own characters and narrative are painfully average at best Kylo was the closest thing they had to a decent character and even he has a one dimensional redemption
When we say anything will eventually be loved I have to ask well then can they just literally make anything with flashy action and forced emotion and it’s good?
I find the OT as a stand alone story pretty average tbh
When I was younger I use to like them more equally sometimes even feeling like the OT was better but once I got older and looked back on all of it with different criteria especially with the existence of TCW and ROTS novelization…just doesn’t hold up anymore. Plot wise only thing I really didn’t like was how they didn’t explain Sifo Dyas’ involvement
They didn’t even have to explain it in AOTC but not there nor ROTS seemed like a decision to encourage you to buy EU content. Lightsaber fight was a little underwhelming but the BOG was good
My main critic of TPM and AOTC is just that the major points should have been combined into one film OR maybe just don’t do only 3 films why couldn’t we have 4 5 even 6 prequel films? TCW ended up fixing this issue but without that we’d have been screwed unless you want to try and piece together a cohesive experience from the old EU which is much harder to get into and I’m not even sure it’s as great as many fans of it like to pretend I’ve never been able to get into it
And even TCW while having a lot of good is by no means a masterpiece it could have been that much greater and maybe it would have if Disney didn’t screw us out of a full season 6, 7, and 8.
Originally, Rey was supposed to be a Kenobi , but it was changed to Palpatine
Wrong. It was one idea early on but quickly passed on.
Both are dumb as hell
@@ReySkywalker2 Daisy has openly stated JJ didn't pick who until filming, lol.

I always assumed they were talking about spice 🥲
@@xxmarjaxxu can say the same with luke and leias relationship and parentage
@@myLocoson yes that was a ROTJ late edition that wasn't planned from the start.
Thanks!
Because not even Anakin, the literal child of The Force, had that kind of in-born talent.
@@obviouslysub-dude9082 Lucas and the cast have repeatedly stated the movie scripts were far from the ideas Lucas gave Disney, lmao.

I'll be honest, this is my least favourite Star Wars film, but I am very glad you liked this movie, and are officially done with the saga. This is one of my fav videos from you so far, solid reaction!
Thank you!
I've enjoyed all the movies. I've liked the Disney+ shows as well. If people don't like something, that's fine. It's when people start insulting people for liking something, and are unwilling to accept anything that explains why the lore isn't broken, or things that they say don't make sense.
Your reaction to the Chewie “death” was so adorable 😂
Thank you! And yes, I’m watching clone wars now and will be watching the kenobi series soon 🩷
Great, not sure how I’ve missed your clone wars reactions but I’ll watch them too! To become a true Jedi Master, something Anakin never did, you need to watch them all 😂 We will watch your career with great interest!
Leia died because she died in real life.
Had she lived, i’m sure the final movie would have been better.
@ How? She was in Last Jedi and her presence did nothing for the film.
@@faisalmemon285 that's because the movie focused more on Luke, episode 9 was going to be her chance in the spotlight.

Carrie Fisher was unfortunately dead when shooting for the film started, so they use some unuse footage from the force awakens with some xgi tricks and that how we had when end up being carrie fisher last film.
Until this very moment I had totally forgotten this even exists 😂 I thought you were watching the force awakens.
But that's how much i hated last Jedi
Now that you have watched all 9 films, which are your top two out of all of them?
It’s hard to say cause I really want to rewatch them and I would probably have a better idea the second time I watch them, but at the moment it’s the empire strikes back and return of the Jedi
"somehow palpatine returned" is perhaps the most infamous line of dialogue in the fandom of all of star wars. So many fans hate that line. Its as infamous as when as "I don't like sand" like of dialogue
And I don't understand why they were such a big deal, same with "Yippee!"
Ben dying was the most stupidest thing ever. We could've had Palpatine/Skywalker babies for the next trilogy but noooooo
We're still hoping they're going to bring him back in the future though
Yeah like Rey coulda gave Ben back just a little bit of life force to keep him alive😂 and imagine chewies reaction if Ben came back w Rey😱
If the galaxy had been kept in the dark regarding Vader's identity for about 2 decades, why couldn't it be done with Ben as well?
still so mad at that. I need MORE OF THEM 😭😭😭

I like so much how you stan C3PO!
He’s one on my top 10 fav characters of all time for sure 🥰
Leia had to die because Carrie Fisher died after the Last Jedi filed. They just used outtakes and CGI for her in this movie. That is why Rose had no story. Her scenes were written with Leia.
You aren’t the only who prefers the sequels over the originals/prequels. As terrible as I think the sequels were, I respect your opinion.
This one is my least favorite because Anakin is one of my favorite characters ever. Bringing back Sidious disrespects his arc ROTJ is the ending to me

Great video !!! They rlly done everyone with the chewy bit, imo prequels are the best, you should watch power rangers 2017 that's a good film to watch if you have nothing else to watch.
TRoS just don't make any sense whatsoever
- the Death Star was utterly destroyed, there shouldn't be any wreckage, not to mention Palpatine survive it
- where and when Palpatine got those hundreds of Star Destroyers with all the thousand crews?
- when did Palpatine having a wife or at least a lover to give birth of Rey parent?
- Rey parents must be a powerful force user, shouldn't be afraid and run away, Palpatine surely taking them as the Sith
- Rey is powerful, surely Palpatine's heir is very powerful, all the schemes are not needed. The Sith Rule of Two also not needed. Palpatine and family can rule the galaxy as monarchs. No need for Anakin Skywalker or Luke Skywalker, his own heirs will be powerful enough to continue his legacy.
Yeah I was wondering who would ever reproduce with the emperor 😂
@@AbbyJaneReacts Before Order 66 maybe, but after, not likely 😂
He must use mind trick for it.

The Mandalorian next...
She's currently on Clone Wars.
Im watching clone wars atm and will be starting the kenobi series soon as well!

My proudest collection 😂❤️
Good for you, Abby Jane, in offering your props for this last three movies. I have Rey as one of my favorite SW characters. In truth, if these movies had come out before the original three, those three would have been criticized more.
Anyway, it was fun watching with you. I do hope you watch the Obi Wan series. It starts slowly but turns out to be so well done.
Have you seen LOTR? I'd bet you'd love those if you get the chance.
Cheers, young lady.
No way u said that the OT was gonna get critisised more if they were released later what a joke

Tee turtle has some cute Star Wars shirts
abby i like the Mandalorian tv show and the Ahsoka tv show, but it would help if you watch the cartoon Star Wars Rebels before you start those
When I subscribed to your channel abby you were reacting to the attack of the clones and as I'm a fan of star wars I was hooked on it especially that trilogy as I grow up to that
Now I happy I did subed ur reaction vids is something I look forward to all week all the best abby 🫶

@@raymondmarier8340they had concepts of a plan. The plan was just don't be like the prequels so they tried to copy the sequel films
abby, at taco bell this past summer, the employees had t shirts that said Cantina on them, they would make a good star wars t shirt, but i can't find any for sale, there are some ok t shirts on the internet that say tatooine,, but i saw a girls t shirt on a girl a couple of years ago, and it was all white with colored prints on it, to either show tatooine suns, or something, but i didn't see it on a google search i did, she said she got it at disney land a year or two ago, so i dont know if they would still have it now. they still have may the 4th be with you t shirts at disney land and also on the shop disney or star wars website i think, it has a picture of r2 and 3po from their cartoon from the 1980s
abby at 22 36, that is a fake memory made up by kylo, that isn't what really happpened
on the island, luke's x wing was in the water, he needs r2 to fly it
leia had r2 in episode 7
that means she flew to the island with luke
rey saw a spaceship leave with her parents on it
she had a doll of an xwing pilot and a hoth snow speeder helmet on jaccu, a desert planet
what would an xwing pilot doll and a hoth snow speeder helmet be doing on a desert planet
what x wing pilot do we know that was also flying a snow speeder on hoth?
and Han didn't know obi wan
leia didn't know obi wan
she said her father knew him
only luke knew obi wan
so why would han name his son, ben?
only luke knew ben growing up
and in the end of return of the jedi
when luke told leia that they are siblings
she was sad, not happy
why?
she knew she was pregnant, from them being alone at the end of the empire strikes back movie
and that she was sad at knowing she would have to abandon or kill her children, as incest is shamed upon in japanese culture
and star wars is based off of japanese culture
Either you haven't seen the Obi-Wan series or you HAVE and you've erased it from your memory. Leia DID know Obi-Wan.
abby , for this movie, i wanted the Night Sisters of Dathomir and the Hutts to hear Leia's message from the last movie and come to take their revenge on the rebels for killing Darth Maul (obi wan) and for killing Jabba (Leia) and they would have an epic space battle with Nal Hutta space ships, we haven't seen them yet and the Night Sisters would battle Rey on the planet below with force magic, something we haven't seen yet, and the Knights of Ren would take Kylo to Korriban, to meet their true master who was using Snoke like a puppet all along, Darth Jar Jar

I like threepio in this movie, one bright spot.
abby there are some live action tv shows that i like that you can watch it will help if you watch the cartoon called Star Wars Rebels before you start them, there are characters you will have to know about before you watch them
Ive thoroughly enjoyed your reactions of Eps 1 - 9 .... As someone who's watched SW since 1977 ive enjoyed not only the movies but the Disney TV shows. I hope you continue the path. My personal favorite is Rogue One and Andor... I hope you watch Andor... ❤
Thanks for being apart of the journey! ❤️
Even though we disagree on some aspects, i love your reactions 🥰
As a sequel liker as well welcome to the flamed club lol
Happy to be here 🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
5:10 All I’ll say is that in Legends, this is a storyline they’ve done before and the outrage from people after Palpatine came back was so confusing because it was from the same crowd demanding they stick to Legends storylines but a lot of those people don’t actually research what those storylines are so in reality they got exactly what they asked for and then got mad about it.
