Some more interesting points missed in the podcast are:
1. Bombay(Mumbai) started developing by the british after the opening of Suez Canal..thats when south africa lost the trading port prominence to Mumbai. It became the gateway to Europe from South Asia.
2. Portuguese conversions are reason why all catholics in the western coast of Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa have portuguese last names like Fernandez, briganza, D'cozta etc
3. Portuguese also introduced the famous Mumbai Pav and also brought in Potatoes, Tomatoes and chillies to India and Europe..the famous Mumbai Vada Pav and Pav Bhaji today have this connection.
3. 3 original Mumbai natives were the Kolis ( Fishing), Agri ( Salt Pans) and Shetkaris ( Farmers, mainly rice)
4. Parsis got such huge land grants from the British due to Opium, Cotton trade.

The way he broke down the real estate market, especially the parts about under-construction sales, liquidity, and the super built-up vs carpet area calculations, was truly eye-opening. Most areas in Navi Mumbai are already sold above Mumbai Suburban rates. But they dont have basic facilities like 24x7 water and electricity keeps going on and off so its better to rent/buy in Mumbai

Exception is hiranandani - their flats are less flashy but the quality is top notch
Sarkar ko atleast 40% housing construct karne chahiye aur middle class ko allocate karne chahiye, jaise UK me hota hai. Dusra yeh housing quality hone chahiye with proper ventilation, sunlight,patking facilities.
My papa told me that mumbai is named after mumba devi when we visited mumba devi temple in mumbai back in 1993😊 but i never knew the story of the demon.

First time watching ur podcast sply bcoz the subject was v interesting...i am sure u both are working v hard but pl take a feedback, pl dont repeat key words that the guest speaks, it looks n feels too artificial. Be normal dont try to hard. try not to make wisecracks like itne famous ki logo ko pata hi nahi its v juvenile.
Use fillers like 'interesting', 'informative', etc instead of simply repeating words, n translating lines in hindi...
U r in the profession of communication, learn a few tricks might help.
Stop adding ur self in screen divides take long shots instead of showing ur absorbed in the conversation.
