- HERBIE MANN CORNELL DUPREE 1988 .
Le premier titre est "Memphis Underground" composition de Herbie Mann , le second titre c'est "Soul Serenade" composition de King Curtis et Luther Dixon .
Momentarily, I thought that a young Barry White was on Alto sax during "Coming Home, Baby" and "Soul Serenade" - until I listened carefully to the artist's sound and ORGANIC JAZZ ad lib(itum)
I didn't know that this fabulous session was played for Atlantic Records' 50th Anniversary. Thanks for the upload! I still got Herbie Mann's LPs "Memphis Underground" and "Push Push" (CD too), which featured so many of my favorite musicians like Duane Allman, Larry Coryell, David Spinozza and of course Richard Tee & Cornell Dupree. Still very much listenable.
A fine reunion of Herbie's band in the early '70s. Kudos to Gerald Albright for doing such an amazing rendition of Soul Serenade. Herbie was THE coolest!
I really enjoy this one. Very nice.
Richard Tee. Cornell Dupree. Like enjoying a couple ounces of cold fine wine and a little baby gouda cheese on a Saturday afternoon and holding hands with your sweetheart. Sadly missed.

This tune is called "Comin Home Baby" if I'm NOT mistaken.... Love it.... Sergio Mendes did a fine version of it on his 67 lp on Atlantic "My Favorite Things".... Herbie Mann a MONSTER musician....
Muito show!
What is the name of the last tune?
Such happenin' cats...
