Nice collection there Scott. I'm the same, they are just a nostalgic trip for me and love how they feel. So if I see them cheap... they usually leave the shop with me. Cheers!
Nice collection you've assembled there Scott. Like you say a good way of getting a physical copy for your collection when you can't find the vinyl or CD. Gun are really overlooked. That's a killer album. Hellripper ones are some nice collectibles. Thanks for showing.
Decent tape collection. Tapes were what I used to buy as a kid as most cars only had tape players and I didn't own a cd player for a long long time. When I started listening and collecting music I had no interest in buying tapes but with bandcamp I've bought a good handful but I don't play them as my tape player ate the last one! 🤘🏻
Sometimes it’s hard to turn down buying a cassette especially when they’re the cheapest format going. I was the same, it was all cassettes in the car when I was young. In fact even my first car had a tape deck!
Nice collection, Scott. Great mixture of classics, as well as a fair few I've either never heard of or certainly wouldn't bother buying myself! 😜 We're all different though, and that's what makes this stuff fun! I'm kind of the same with cassettes in that some of the first music I ever heard was on tape, but most of it was shite 80s pop! I did have a few tapes back in the day though, so they do hold some kind of nostalgia to me. I held off for a long time and now I just buy underground metal stuff on them, for the most part! Cheers! 🤘
Nice collection of tapes ,Scott. I have most of those albums, on either tape, cd or vinyl, but a few i need to pick up, like Saigon Kick and Johnny Crash.
Both great bands, would love to get the Saigon kick on vinyl. Got Johnny Crash years ago for buttons, think it’s crept up in price now. Cheers John, hope you’re doing well mate!
Love Tapes since I was a kid. Its got lots of nostalgia for me but also they are just so fun and small to collect. Ive got my OG collection of 80s and 90s and then loads of punk and metal tapes from recent years going to shows etc. Bandcamp has lots of great new tapes for metal too. Cheers man!
My cassette tape story is very similar to yours… I started off buying & listening to cassettes… but then gravitated towards CDs & vinyl & never thought about actually collecting them… but over the years my collection seems to have grown & grown without me actually seeking them out! Great collection mate & some real belters in there!🤘🏻
I wasn’t aware you even had a tape collection so it’s kool to see. The Tora Tora debut is a top notch album as is Saigon Kick. I have The Lizard on cassette also😀🤘
I used to have loads of cassettes and cassingles back in the day probably around 150 but I sold them all at the same time I sold my first vinyl collection 😂 when I went to CDs. I’ve been picking some up again over the last 5 years or so only grabbing a bargain when I find it. I think I have about 30 now. Awesome collection mate. GW Hooked is only good for the cover😝
I used to have a few cassingles back in the 90s but I’ll not repeat what they were! They’re more a nostalgia thing for me, don’t think I’ll ever have a full blown collection but never say never!
Hi Scott!!! i think we all share some kind of similar story with cassettes back in the day....... as you might guess they were the cheapeast way to get the music (not considering dub tapes....) then the Cd came to the party and they were left inside a box in a dark closet, but now they're right in the shelf!!! Killer collection btw, loved your Badlands and Tora Tora, also the lesser know bands like Sweet Fa and Johnny Crash. Need to get those two LA Guns releases on any physical format!! cheers and be well
They still are the cheapest way to grab an album lol some of these cassettes I don’t think I’ll ever get on vinyl so they will do for now. Cheers Cristian!
Back in the early '90s when I was getting sober, I bought a ton of cassettes to get me thru treatment. I recorded hundreds of cassettes of the radio. our local station would play 1 full album a night, so I recorded them all. In all I think I recorded over 600 cassettes. I never did anything after that. It wasn't until 5-6 years back I started collecting them again. One of my latest videos shows 4 new cassettes. Back when I was in the service 77-81, I recorded alot of cassettes for fellow servicemen in my unit. Signed it under KKK Records close to what my name is. You got me wanting to do a cassette only video like this one. You have some killer cassettes.
Nice collection mate! Some stuff in there i havent heard in donks. Like Saigon Kick, I actually think I have their debut on tape. I still have a couple of drawers full of tapes that I never even touch these days but most of the old Death Metal stuff I had is long gone. I also have that Scream album on record and havent played it in years. Id like a copy of that Johnny Crash album, I remember it sounding good. Great to see some tapes Scott, hits the nostalgia button hard mate!
Absolutely, I started off with cassettes and mostly 7” singles in the early 90s so I’ll always grab a cassette if it’s going for cheap, the singles not so much! Cheers mate!
My girlfriend bought me the Badlands Voodoo Highway on vinyl (from someone on Discogs) for my birthday in August just gone. It isn't til now that I looked it up and saw how much it goes for!! Wow, I can't believe some copies are $300AUD and more. Guess I should really play it more often, it's an amazing follow up to a great debut, and one of the few times that a follow-up actually is as good as the debut. Great list, man.
LA Guns Hollywood Vampire no doubt my favorite from them. Not only is it a great album but it is produced by Michael James Jackson who also produced Kiss's Creatures of the Night and Lick it Up! Did your cassette come with the mini 3-D glasses? Great stuff! Take care Scott!
Some bands there I've never heard of, not that I'm an 80's 90's hard rock aficionado, but if you have Lita & Slayer in the same collection you're on to a winner. I look forward to your next cassette update in 2028 😁
Nice collection 🎉 thanks for sharing this information Colorado Silverback777 Stay Healthy keep stacking.
i love tapes ,i have over 600 tapes in my collection they are mostly BM ,Ambient,Thrash,Doom i will always colect tapes great video scott
Nice collection there Scott. I'm the same, they are just a nostalgic trip for me and love how they feel. So if I see them cheap... they usually leave the shop with me. Cheers!
If I see some of the classics on cassette they will leave with me, even better when you find the rarer stuff. Cheers Chad!
Thats a great Cassette Collection,,,Some great albums there Mate
It’s quality over quantity with the cassettes for me, cheers Marty!

Some of these are so hard to find on vinyl and as you know the CDs can be ridiculously priced now so if tapes are the way to go then why not.
Decent tape collection. Tapes were what I used to buy as a kid as most cars only had tape players and I didn't own a cd player for a long long time. I think cassettes are the most nostalgic from all the formats, even the rattle they make when you pick them up! 😂 cheers Marc!
I wasn’t aware you even had a tape collection so it’s kool to see. The Tora Tora debut is a top notch album as is Saigon Kick. I have The Lizard on cassette also😀🤘
I don’t even really see it as a collection lol I just pick up random tapes when I see them. I love the first 2 Saigon Kick, need to get them on vinyl!
I used to have loads of cassettes and cassingles back in the day probably around 150 but I sold them all at the same time I sold my first vinyl collection 😂 when I went to CDs. Thanks David, have a good one mate!
Hellripper! I need that one still. I have him on a split tape. Didnt have any if the ones you showed I think. Good collection brother. Keep it going

Awesome video! I've been on the fence about gun for a while, but you convinced me to start picking up Gun albums when I come across them.
Swagger is my favourite by Gun so I’d start there! Cheers Kim! 🤘

No I didn’t get the 3D glasses as it was pre owned so they’re probably long gone. Great album though I agree!

It’s like slayer for dinner then lita for dessert! By 2028 I’ll hopefully have another 4 or 5 to show!
I'm not a cassette collector, but you have a nice collection Scott!
Thanks a lot Tony!
Plenty of good ones there considering you don't pick them up too often. The price difference is a no-brainer for some albums isn't it.
Total no brainer, a fraction of the price of some vinyl and CDs, although they’ll start creeping up I bet
Lick it up was first no makeup album
