- Anand (Dev Anand), a spendthrift grandson of a rich businessman walks out of his luxurious abode after he’s forced to marry a girl he’s disinterested in. Anand ends up on the streets of Mumbai where he meets a girl he falls in love with. But the grandfather would do anything to bring his grandson back, so even if he has to exploit the sore spots of Anand’s new lady love.

I am leaving a comment here, to be a part of history, this film is not just film it's the reality of world, Fantabulous acting by Dev Anand sir , sadhana mam and sandhya mam , great supporting role by Nazir Hussain sir, Mukri sir , just a masterpiece.
बहुत ही अच्छी फिल्म है। इस फिल्म की कहानी, गाने, नाटक काला काफी अच्छे हैं। फिल्म में असली जीवन और नकली जीवन में फ़र्क समझौता हुए और मनवता से बंधे मजबूत रिश्ते दिखाये गए हैं जो आंखों में आँसू ला देते हैं।
वाकई में इस फिल्म को देखने पर 3 बार रोया आजकल ऐसी फिल्में बनती ही कहां है जी करता है इस फिल्म को बार बार देखू देव आनंद और साधना जी ने बहुत ही सुंदर रोल निभाया है कमाल है आज से 40 45 वर्ष पूर्व इन लोगों ने कितनी अच्छी फिल्म बनाई है
देवसाहब और साधनाजी आप दोनोही अनमोल कलाकार, हर किसीने यह मुव्ही देखनी चाहीये। उस जमानेमे देवसाहब को देखकर गाने लिखे जाते थे, और उसपर देवसाहब ही गा रहे है ऐसा लगता था। धन्यवाद यु ट्युब को।

पुरानी फिल्मो की बात ही कुछ ओर है देव आंनद साहब एवम साधनाजी की एक्टिंग कितनी वास्तविक है.
वाह देवानन्द साहब और साधना जी की बहुत सुन्दर फिल्म है। आज के दौर में ऐसी फिल्म नही बन सकती ये कमाल तो केवल 60 व 70 के दशक मे ही बन सकती है। उस दौर के सिनेमा का असर ही कुछ और था।

Sadhana is perhaps the most beautiful actress yet in Bollywood in my opinion.
ऐसी फिल्में सिर्फ भारतीय सिनेमा में देव साहब ही बना सकते हैं। द ग्रेट सिनेमा इन द 1946 टू 1970 ।
Sadhana Jee.....What a combination of Beauty with Brain.....what a acting she has done. Her smile, voice, Dialogue delivery & everything she possesses....Really Amazing.
A masterpiece cineme.. The storyline, superb performance by the actors like Dev Anand, Sadhana, Samdhya, Anwar Hussain, Nazir Hussain .and above all excellent music by SJ are just speechless.

अब ऐसी फिल्मे नहीं बनती जो सच्चा प्रेम एक मिसाल हैं ये सिखा सके. दोस्ती. बहन का प्यार त्याग, बलिदान आज की पिढी को सिखाना बहुत जरुरी हैं.
बहुत ही सुन्दर सामाजिक और पारिवारिक परम्परा और परिस्थितियों पर आधारित फिल्म है।
