Audi a8 D3 front door panel removal (part 1)

- In this video you will see how to remove the front door panel and remove the speaker in a 2008 audi a8 other known as a D3 model a8 face-lift.
You do not need the blue tool shown in video, that is merly a pry tool. if all else fails you can use a plastic knife or your typical butter knife but something tell me that if your looking at this video you can afford a plastic pry tool lol. any how if you do use a metal or potentially abrasive object to pry back panels try and buffer it by using a soft cloth or plastic bag over it.

So back to the start when you are removing the top trim piece. My brushed aluminum and carbon fiber (yours is wood here) sections want to come off independently of each other. Seeing this I stopped immediately since all the vids I come it’s a single solid piece - but question - do you think the aesthetic pieces have separated from the plastic backing? Think I could use a strong glue to get them stuck to it again and then try to pry again for the full piece?

I have the same car i wanna upgrade the door speakers what ohm speakers did you use don't want to ruin stock amp
And how do you open the socket of the door if the screw falls behind it?
If that happend I'd get a magnetic extension to get the socket out but That is a good question, I haven't done that so I'd have to await your video if you chose to explore that option.

How big is the speaker? Im gonna replace all 4
I believe they are 6 inches but unless your going to replace the whole system you can only replace them with the same speakers because it is the bose set up.

did you replace with the same speakers or different type it would be interesting to know how you got on as I have replaced the whole system in my D3

What ohm speakers did u use
Everett Bolling well I tried to go with some alpine speakers however that didn't work so I went to my local car audio shop and they said with using the bose system you cant change out the speakers. I thought the door speakers were blown and it turns out there just component speakers so there supposed to just produce the low tone bass that we hear. only way to change out those speakers is to change out the system completely and that could cost thousands. so im just going to be sticking with my solobaric that I have in the trunk and call it a day. sound still sounds great I just thought something was wrong with the factory speakers when there wasn't .
Turned out the speakers I was intending to put in weren't compatible with the bose speaker system. Went to a pro audio shop and they told me that my speakers weren't blown after all. They said the low bass in the front door speakers is normal for this set up.
Please tell me how to fix pocket in front doors, i cant close the pocket😬 maybe hawe some video?
See if something ìs behind the door.run a magnet back there see what it pics up.
