The HJC RPHA 10 has an intermediate oval to slightly round fitting shape. If you are looking for another race helmet with a similar shape, I would suggest the Arai Corsair V. When comparing, we did find that the Arai RX-Q had the closest fitting shape to the RPHA 10, but it's more of a street helmet. ~Ali
The RPHA 10 has a few features that are upgrades from the RPS-10. The chin vent, overall ventilation system, shield lock, and internal fit have all been improved upon. -CK
The main differences are a redesigned chin vent, a new locking mechanism on the face shield that now has 2 stages, and the addition of one shell size. ~Ali
The EPS liner is not intended to be removed from the outer shell. Tampering with the EPS liner could compromise safety. Same thing goes with the vents if removed improperly, you could void the warranty. I suggest finding a painter who knows how to work with the HJC helmets and removed exterior pieces without damaging the helmet. Also keep in mind, not all paints will work on a helmet shell. Some paints can damage or deteriorate the EPS liner. I suggest asking HJC what they recommend. ~Ali
I've been wearing this helmet ("Cage" graphic, Red) for a couple months now, and I really love it. It flows plenty of air and keeps my head nice and cool. The pads are really easy to remove and install, and they have plenty of room for my new eye glasses I have to wear now. The pin lock system is 100% fog proof, but can be tricky to see through the seam when in full tuck. It's much quieter than my Scorpion EXO-400 and EXO-1000, but like any helmet, it can be noisy when pushing 100 mph. Love it!
I just got this and so far it's one of the more comfortable helmets I've had. It's aerodynamic and sturdy, and comes with the pinlock liner. Which is great, because otherwise it fogs up almost instantly. It's not as quiet as others, and bug guts are a bit of a nuisance in the top vents, but it's wonderful for the price.
Where did you get your info? The product detail information that we received from HJC details that carbon fiber is included along with fiberglass and aramid fiber in the weave of each helmet. -CK
The cheekpads break in about 15%-20% over the first few weeks, so a SM may work for you over time. The visor is not adjustable other than to open and close. Sorry to hear that you are having issues with your dealer! -CK
More and more helmet manufacturers are leaving room to accommodate glasses. You can also look at the Shark Vision-R or the Speed-R that have the "Easy Fit" glasses system that will accommodate larger glasses. ~Ali
The RPS 10 is still a great helmet, and really can't be beat at that price point. There will always be something newer / better / improved when you are ready to replace your RPS 10 down the road. ~Ali
I, very recently, got the 10Plus Hexagon model and I rode with it three times in my GSXR K5. Quality wise its good but not as good as the Shoei XR... But: -Very light. -Very good visor quality with large periferic view area. -Good sound canceling. -Aerodynamic profile @ 60MPH and up. Nice aesthetics, in my opinion, especially from the side view. People in the street stare at me ( girl magnet! lol ) @ 479€ it was a great buy and it comes along with an excellent bundle. Proud of my HJC Carbon! And thank you for excellent videos Revzilla. Good work.
I'm a big fan of the HJC top of the line helmets. Riding a sportbike on the street automatically puts you in a 3/4 position. makes this helmet quieter then most because of the good aerodynamics. the venting is adequate and did keep my head cool enough in the 85 degree traffic. my favorite feature is the posts on the visor and the ability to add an inner anti fog shield. This allows closed vent riding in sub 40 degree night time weather. (have put on lots of sportbike miles like this)
I own the previous version of this helmet and it was light, quiet, and more comfortable than my Corsair V when wearing headphones. I can only imagine that this one will be the same if not a little better! Will let you know more after I purchase.
I've had an rps-10 for a couple years now, and I have to agree that the chin vent is irksome and I am glad they have revised it, but other than that, the rpha is identical to the rps-10. You can find rps-10s for sale on amazon for as low as $180. Save your money.
I have not heard this before. The graphics models are exactly the same as the solid color other than appearance. For the US market, they don't designate the graphics with a "+". -CK
I have just bought this helmet today. 10% discount still makes it $330 but after just one use I am excited to use it every time I will venture out. Didn't hear much wind or much motor noise. Because it is so quiet I found myself exceeding the speed limit several times and I guess the reason is that I was used to a level of noise and was trying unconsciously to match it. I have muscular dystrophy and the weight of a helmet is very important if I am to avoid muscle fatigue. This is the one for me.
This product would be great for hitting the road track. Clean looking helmet and the flat black paint is sharp. I also like that the front of the helmet is not as long and shorter.
Hey Sooperman12, our whole team here is dedicated to staying well-read on the technology in motorcycle gear. Anthony is the one behind the camera, but any of the Gear Geeks that pick up the phone would be able to give you just as much context on these items. -CK
I'm impressed by the reviewer's (Anthony) intelligence. This guy has to be doing something other than selling motorcycle gear (has a science background or is really well-read). You simply cannot have that kind of grasp on the verbiage unless its part of an intellectual vernacular. An excellent review that beats any other video reviewer on motorcycle gear I've seen. Subscribing just because of how educated the reviewer seems.
I wish I'd seen your comment before posting a new one. I had to replace my EXO-1000 and went with the RPHA-10. It's much quieter than the Scorpion at speeds up to 60 mph. Anything faster than that and it's only slightly quieter. Closing the vents helps keep the noise down a tad. Assuming you have the same head shape as me, you'll notice it's more comfortable as well, not to mention almost a full pound lighter. :)
I haven't spent any time riding in the HJC RPHA 10, so I can only offer what HJC claims for noise reduction. Is there anyone out there who has this helmet and can comment on the noise levels? As with any helmet, I always recommend using earplugs when riding any length of time at higher speeds or highway riding. ~Ali
This is a racing oriented helmet. You arent't worried about noise and wind coming up when barreling into a corner. You have ear plugs in and better things to worry about.
Also, I know it's a 'race' style helmet versus the EXO-1000's sport-touring nature, but it seems that riding tucked helps reduce noise as well. Maybe it's physics, maybe it's just placebo...
I had a Vision R and exchanged for the RPHA 10. I am glad I did because it is more quieter and more sportif. Fits perfect and seems lighter. No glass possible.
Lid is amazing. Had one for 2 years now I came off at 50/55ish went rear of head down and shoulders first granted on to hard ditch so grass and dirt but got straight back up no issues not even stunned Amazing lid so light aswell Got it checked after accident as it looked perfect and had it tested and believe it or not it was cleared I replaced anyway obviously but bought same lid not bad for wind noise and really good vision Highly recommend
david Kerridge Would you mind taking a few photos of your helmet and sending them to us at cs@revzilla.com in your spare time? We would love to see some pictures of how well it performed. -Hi-Viz Brian
do you know how to remove the styrofoam off from the helmet shell ? i got the spies rpha10 helmet ( the white one ) need to be repaint, but i can't find a way to pull the styrofoam out off the shell.. or maybe you can tell me how to pull the vent without removing the styrofoam part.. thank you very much
Thanks for your reply!! Curiously, it was not until I took it to HJC America, that HJC Europe started to answer my E-mails... Your opinion matches, it breaks in a lot, should have gone 1 size below. Thanks for the visor info. As such, it´ll be likely to whistle after a while. I´m glad I had the chance to return it. Thanks to PayPal I got my money back and made my mind regarding HJC. As a long term choice, I think they´re just not up to the task...It looks stunning, but only that. Thanks again!
I disagree, I recently purchased the RPHA10 because the RPS10 in the same size had a pressure point on the front forehead that the new version did not. The must have made a slight adjustment to the mold before production to eliminate that.
I'm a soon to be new rider but I'm not sure what kind of helmet i need. I've been looking at many helmets but i wear glasses so I'm wondering if i need a modular helmet or i can get away with a full face helmet. I wear Ray ban glasses so they are kind of thick framed. I just want to know what will give me the best bang for my buck.
Based on MCN... is it true the replica graphics are considerd RPHA10+ where as the solid colors are RPHA10. What are the differences between the two? RPHA10+ better performance???
how noisy is this helmet compared to the nolan x-802, or AGV GP-Tech? My old helmet is Scorpion EXO 1000, and although it is not as light weight as the Nolan or AGV, really the difference is not that much. However, is super noisy for my taste and I'm looking to replace it with a less noisy, but good enough helmet that can give me that feeling of fitting just right ("snuggieness"? hahaha). I do mostly sport touring, not super sport. And airflow is super important for me.
Pros: - Amazing fit - Comfort - Lightnes Cons: - the pinlock antifog does not seal the visor fully, and the waters gets in between - the pinlock holders break while cleaning the pinlock insert - the helment scratches the visor in the inside - the visor removal system spring broke - the air vent wheel broke - breath guard is strating to break also p.s. I have also got a friend with the newer version, Plus and is facing the same issues P.s.2. My helmet has never hit the ground
I just bought the HJC today but also tried the x-lite. For me that x-light had a nice fit on the top part of my head. But the cheekpads where way to thin. The HJC was in better proportion (for my head that is) ;-) I did prefer the x-light styling !
I am torn between the RPHA 10 in Zappy and the RPHA Max in align. The bulk of my riding is commuting on a ZZR1200 but I also head out with buddies a few times a year aggressive sport touring. To paint a picture of our "aggressive sport touring" couple of the guys haul their bikes ya know the HP4's, Panigales', 1098s' and the such. What is in your opinion the difference in safety between a full face and a modular helmet? I have always worn full face but am tempted by the convenience of a modular for my daily commute.
vannooch Modulars are designed to act like a full-face on the bike, but not like a full-face in a wreck. That chin bar will almost definitely sacrifice itself if it kisses the pavement. Even if your sport touring isn't particularly aggressive, full-faces win out in protection - no question. -Kraus-e
I tried this helmet today and i am pretty much satisfied by the fit but the lining that covers the top of the head is kinda too thin and not giving enough "insulation space" between the head and the helmet itself..try to put the helmet on and give it a proper slap on the top and you will see what im talkin about. Cannot even imagine the proper slam...
AcerGamer1 Not at all. It's perfect for a Z1000. -Hi-Viz Brian * 2014 Kawasaki Z1000 ABS Review - www.revzilla.com/common-tread/2014-kawasaki-z1000-abs-review
Hello RevZilla! I just tried the RPHA 10 and it felt like it was made for my head shape in size L. I want to know if you know (in your infinite wisdom) if there is any other race style helmets that has the same or similar head shape as the RPHA 10. Thank you for a great review!
I went for the Lorenzo version. Tried the Small size but it felt too hard on the sides. I´m 57cm, so went for the Medium (57-58).At first, it was perfect, 1 month later it became unstable and extremely noisy over the ears, from the wind coming in around the jaw. Then found 2 defects in the paint and returned it. Now I´m "fighting" with HJC Europe + the dealer. They want to replace it, but, will I be fine with the S size (after a while)?? Also, is the visor adjustable? Thanks for your reviews ;)
Hey Team ZILLA , first your videos are awesome. Secondly i am looking forward to buy a new helmet, im now wearing a RPS 10 in Spies Replica, would you recommend the RPHA10 for me ?`are ther huge differences ? Thankya
Hey AlefGotis, feel free to give our Gear Geeks a call if you need more advice based on REAL EXPERIENCE. Everyone who answers the phone is a hardcore rider, including our three partners, Nick, Matt, and muscle boy... er, I mean Anthony. :-)
RevZilla No, you got me wrong: I meant that there are often changes in model names for different markets. I know that Shoei for instance names its helmets differently for the American market compared to the European market (eg. the RF1200 for the US is called the NXR here in Europe). Same goes for HJC: the latest model of this helmet in Europe is called the "R-PHA 10 PLUS". The older model this replaces was called the "R-PHA 10" which I think is just called the RPS in US markets. So you can understand my confusion, I didn't know which helmet you were actually reviewing. But looking at the detailing of the chin vent and visor lock, I can tell it's the PLUS-model :) Great channel btw! Love these awesome detailed reviews, by a professional and very eloquent presenter. Keep up the good work!
You can either mount them to the strip of fabric on the cheek pads by your ears, or you can cut that fabric strip out of the cheek pads, so you can mount the speakers to the inside of the helmet shell. -DrewZilla
Hi I just bought this helmet and it fits perfectly, or so I thought. One of the first things I noticed when riding at the highway was that I get air coming up behind the ears, this is really irritating and causes a lot of wind noise. Is this normal?
GoliatZ18 i have the same problem. have you solved it? i saw this «quiet rider» thing, which is a chin curtain that goes all over around your neck, but I'm not sure if it is going to solve the noise of the wind running around muy ears
I got the RPS 10 in Spies Monster Replica and i like it a lot, the fit to my head is perfect, Its a bit loud but i am riding with ear plugs so it doesnt matter to me, function of visor is best i had so far but the top vent isnt that good (eventually cause my hear are a bit longer and i ride with ski mask under the helmet, rest is perfect =)
I love this helmet. Sold my Shoei RF-1100 and replaced it with this Ben Spies replica. I love it...it's very light, very comfortable, and I love the styling. Aerodynamics is amazing, with great airflow inside. The front visor lock takes a while to get used to, but once you do, it actually makes a lot of sense and it's quick (thumb pushing up on chin bar to lock). A couple of question though, how do I install the tear off post? And why does it only come with one?
Thanks for your review bratprince11! It's an awesome helmet. Below is a link to some instructional UA-cam videos that explain how to install tear offs. Please give us a call at 1-877-792-9455 if you'd like us to walk you through the process. -Hi-Viz Brian rvz.la/tearoffs
While I am thinking about it, how much can I expect this to break in ... 5%. 10%, etc.? Wonder if I could swap out the cheek pads. Now that I've got this helmet and have worn it around the house, I am not so sure it isn't too tight. The sizing chart puts me dead on a medium but I am tempted to step up a size to a large. What do you guys think? It's been a really long time since I have worn a full face helmet so I really don't have anything to compare the fit to..
sammy6blades Yes, the helmet will break in a bit. Try this. Remove the cheek pads, see how it feels around the crown of the head. If it is snug but not so tight that you get a headache, medium is appropriate. Then if the cheek pads don't break in enough for you, you can go thinner. A properly fitting full face helmet should feel quite snug, and it should push your cheeks in a lot at first. -DrewZilla
Hello! I want to get a HJC helmet, and I cannot decide between the FG-15 (carbon edition) or the RPHA 10. Also, I cannot tell the difference between the RPHA and the RPHA+. Can you please give me an idea?
The RPHA 10 is the more race/sport grade helmet and is the basis for those used by select riders in MotoGP. The + was a minor update in fit and design to better suit the ergonomics of your head. -CK
RevZilla Thank you for the answer! One more question, about sizing... I used to have a Shark RSR2 size S (was just a little tight) and a Shark RSI (size S was perfect fit when new, but became a little loose after some use). What size would be indicated for me in case of th RPHA 10? To be mentioned that I like a snug fit, I prefer it to be a little tight rather then loose. What do you think?
bogdan m The RSI was Shark's long oval helmet while the RSR2 was more round. If you found the RSI fit you better you are a long oval shape. You should look into AGV helmets, the Arai Signet Q and Arai Profile, and a few others which I'm sure they will tell you when they reply back.
I'm probably going for this helmet,i love the graffity version!Just some questions: 1-My current helmet is an Arai Chaser Medium size, will the shape of the Rpha fit my head?If yes, same size(medium)? 2-I ride all year long, i see there are two pieces of mesh on the front, will these let air in at all times?Or do they close, along with the center vent?
I haven't had much experience with the Chaser-V because I believe it's only available in Europe. However, from the digging I've done, it seems to have a neutral to slightly round head-shape. I think the RPHA 10 will work well for you based on the Chaser-V's head-shape. The RPHA 10 mesh screens can be closed. What is your head circumference measurement? -Hi-Viz Brian www.araihelmet-europe.com/site/collection/chaser-v/
I have the old Chaser model, not the V, like this: www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/product_images/arai_chaser_guardian_rear.jpg It's made in 2009 and it's been through a lot!!Sweat and sea salt to name a few!!Just measured myself 57,8cm.
hi,i have a schuberth sr1 helmet which i find to be perfect.!but, because i dropped it(a couple of times..)from my hands i'm now looking for a new one.I'm between hjc and shark race-r.Which one do you think would fit me better, given the schuberth (large by the way) had a perfect fit on my head!Keep up the great work!!
johnkap The RPHA 10 and Race-R Pro have neutral to slightly round head shapes. Your Schuberth SR1 has a slightly narrow head shape. I recommend looking at the Shoei RF-1200. -Hi-Viz Brian * www.revzilla.com/shoei-rf-1200-helmets
The 10+ is labeled for Snell 2015. Other than that, the helmets are the same. The non-plus is labeled for Snell 2010. The actual Snell standard didn't really change though. -DrewZilla
The solid version of this helmet on the website has a 2015 mark, yet this is an older product. Website error or is there a new version for 2015? Thanks!
+Chris Pickering The "RPHA 10" models now on closeout are labeled for Snell M2010, whereas the new "RPHA 10 Pro" models are labeled for Snell M2015. The main difference is the Snell label. Therefore, we do not believe there to be any error. Hope this helps! -DrewZilla
+RevZilla So the helmet itself will be exactly the same? It's just that the newer production models have the M2015 label? Is a M2010 rating something to avoid nowadays if you want to do track days? I hear that a lot of organisations have rules about older helmets, and it'd suck to run into trouble just a few years after buying a brand new helmet!
+Chris Pickering Nothing significant changed between M2010 and M2015, so the labels are really the only difference. As for track days, we recommend you check with the track day organization about their label policy. -DrewZilla
hey i have a question, is there any difference in between the shells of medium size and large size , is it true if the size L , the shell size bigger then size M shell? or it just difference in the cheek/top pad? thx
Angga Gilang The RPHA10 uses 3 shell sizes, and the shell breakdown is XS-S, M-L, XL-2XL. Therefore, the medium and large share the same shell, and the only difference is the thickness of the head liners and the cheek pads. This is not necessarily the same with other models of helmets though! -DrewZilla
Ace T If you're riding for extended periods through heavy rain, water may start to enter through the back vent holes. Normally, though, the negative pressure formed at the rear vent holes keeps water from entering. -DrewZilla
The Bell helmets have intermediate oval to neutral head shapes, while the RPHA 10 is neutral to slightly round. The Bell Star and HJC RPHA 10 are both excellent track helmets designed for maximum ventilation and aerodynamics at high speeds. The Bell RS-1 is a great aggressive street / track day options. What head shape do you have? -Hi-Viz Brian www.revzilla.com/motorcycle-helmet-guide

would this helmet have a good vertical view , currently using a shoei on track but when tucked my view is blocked due to how low the shoei visor sits on my brow , have tried a arai rx-7v in which the vision was perfect , just the price tag
+ryan smith It really depends on the shape of your head and how you position the helmet on your head. Some people install thicker cheek pads in helmets to help orient the helmet such that the eyeport is elevated more for better vision in a tuck. It's possible the RPHA 10 could provide better vision, but due to all the factors mentioned, I cannot guarantee it will solve your problem. See if you can get your Shoei to sit differently on your head. -DrewZilla
Thanks for the reply. Ended up buying this model. And its perfect. An very light. The port just wouldnt be as open as the new arai. But mega difference from the shoei
The RPHA 10 was Snell M2010. The RPHA 10 Pro is Snell M2015. The new RPHA 11 Pro is DOT/ECE instead of DOT/Snell. -DrewZilla *www.revzilla.com/hjc-rpha-10-helmet *www.revzilla.com/hjc-rpha-11-pro-helmets

If i would ride a Yamaha MT-07 (quite upright ridingposition) would this helmet's aerodynamics work with it? (Asuming the 10+ have the same as the 10 regular)
Johannes Gustavsson The RPHA 10 and RPAH 10 Pro have the same shape, and while HJC considers it a sport/race helmet, we find it works well in full tuck, 3/4, and upright riding, so it's a good choice for the MT-07 (FZ-07 here in the US). -DrewZilla
+Johannes Gustavsson I just got the FZ 07. Its a bad ass bike. And i got one of these helmets . It fits very good. A bit much in price. But they do have cheaper in price helmets.

Drewzilla i need ur critical advise! I need a light helmet ( as light as possible) with good quality at around 400~ dollars. I currently have Scorpion exo-400 and i have neck pains ( prolly from the helmet which behinds its says its 1450g. but the real weight is 1730g.) from the hemlet's weight so i need a light helmet for daily commuting in a naked motorcycle. Hope u answer i really need ur advise! Thanks in advance.

~Ali
I'd just like to say thanks RevZilla so much for doing these reviews!
TheChattanoogaBandit You're very welcome! Thank you for giving us a reason to do what we love. -Hi-Viz Brian
Love it!
The RPHA 10 comes with a clear shield and pinlock insert, but a dark smoke shield is not included. -CK
All RPHA10 helmets are made with Carbon fiber. The difference is just a change in graphic allowing you to see the weave of carbon underneath. -CK
Yes, but HJC tends to fit a bit large in my opinion. Try LaZer, Arai, or Schuberth for smaller shell construction. -CK
Where did you get your info? The product detail information that we received from HJC details that carbon fiber is included along with fiberglass and aramid fiber in the weave of each helmet. -CK
Yes, Schuberth uses this on their C3, C3 Pro, and S2 helmets.
~Ali
Tough choice! The Osprey would be a bit lighter, but I think the RPHA is more comfortable, personally. -CK
I, very recently, got the 10Plus Hexagon model and I rode with it three times in my GSXR K5.
Quality wise its good but not as good as the Shoei XR... But:
-Very light.
-Very good visor quality with large periferic view area.
-Good sound canceling.
-Aerodynamic profile @ 60MPH and up. Nice aesthetics, in my opinion, especially from the side view. People in the street stare at me ( girl magnet! lol )
@ 479€ it was a great buy and it comes along with an excellent bundle.
-CK
That's really insane. You guys have become my go-to review video guys. Going to shop your site now and see if I can't get a killer deal on an RPHA-10.
Beautiful, thorough and precise reviews/descriptions everytime.
This product would be great for hitting the road track. Clean looking helmet and the flat black paint is sharp. I also like that the front of the helmet is not as long and shorter.
What helmet are you coming from? If I know your previous experience, I can recommend something that will be better in comparison. -CK
Thanks, glad to know I'm not as limited as i thought when finding a helmet that will fit.
I had a Vision R and exchanged for the RPHA 10. I am glad I did because it is more quieter and more sportif. Fits perfect and seems lighter. No glass possible.
Thanks for the review! -Hi-Viz Brian
Still waiting for the review of its successor, the rpha 11. Been watching this video for times. Great review
Once the RPHA 11 is out here in the US, we'll review it. We don't have an ETA yet. -DrewZilla
Just waiting for Jorge Lorenzo Graffiti Limited Edition Helmet to hit UK stores, nice review guys. Looking forward to getting this.
Yeah that's fine I'm away at the moment so will be a few days until I get back but more than happy to do that
That's great. We appreciate it! -Hi-Viz Brian
Hey mate just to let you know I'm back tomorrow from holiday so will get you those pics sent through of lid
do you know how to remove the styrofoam off from the helmet shell ?
i got the spies rpha10 helmet ( the white one ) need to be repaint, but i can't find a way to pull the styrofoam out off the shell.. or maybe you can tell me how to pull the vent without removing the styrofoam part..
thank you very much
Thanks for your reply!!
Just checked that and it isn't the case. The Rpha 10 + (even the Lorenzo) is made from fibreglass. Only the carbon model is made of, er, carbon.
Is this helmet equal to Arai or Shoei? In safety, construction materials, functionality terms, value for money?
Could revzilla do a graphical overview of solid colors? It would really help!
how noisy is this helmet compared to the nolan x-802, or AGV GP-Tech? My old helmet is Scorpion EXO 1000, and although it is not as light weight as the Nolan or AGV, really the difference is not that much. However, is super noisy for my taste and I'm looking to replace it with a less noisy, but good enough helmet that can give me that feeling of fitting just right ("snuggieness"? hahaha). I do mostly sport touring, not super sport. And airflow is super important for me.
Pros:
- Amazing fit
- Comfort
- Lightnes
Cons:
- the pinlock antifog does not seal the visor fully, and the waters gets in between
- the pinlock holders break while cleaning the pinlock insert
- the helment scratches the visor in the inside
- the visor removal system spring broke
- the air vent wheel broke
- breath guard is strating to break also
p.s. I have also got a friend with the newer version, Plus and is facing the same issues
P.s.2. My helmet has never hit the ground
DDGP222 Yeesh, you haven't had the best of luck with that thing, huh? Have you reached out to cs@revzilla.com about filing a warranty claim? -Kraus-e
RevZilla it was not purchased with Revzilla though... not lucky at all
I just bought the HJC today but also tried the x-lite. For me that x-light had a nice fit on the top part of my head. But the cheekpads where way to thin. The HJC was in better proportion (for my head that is) ;-)
I did prefer the x-light styling !
where can I buy the nose piece I lost mine
That would be the breath deflector. -DrewZilla

Thank you
Great feedback.
-Kraus-e
My thoughts as well I was a bit optimistic with regards to the convenience I suppose.
Hey what is the difference between rpha10 & the rpha10 plus?? Anything significant?
Would this helmet be too race oriented to be used with a Kawasaki z1000?
AcerGamer1 Not at all. It's perfect for a Z1000. -Hi-Viz Brian

Hello RevZilla!
I just tried the RPHA 10 and it felt like it was made for my head shape in size L. I want to know if you know (in your infinite wisdom) if there is any other race style helmets that has the same or similar head shape as the RPHA 10. Thank you for a great review!
This helmet vs x-lite802r ??How does it gio?? Which do you recommend??
I went for the Lorenzo version. Tried the Small size but it felt too hard on the sides. I´m 57cm, so went for the Medium (57-58).At first, it was perfect, 1 month later it became unstable and extremely noisy over the ears, from the wind coming in around the jaw. Then found 2 defects in the paint and returned it. Now I´m "fighting" with HJC Europe + the dealer. They want to replace it, but, will I be fine with the S size (after a while)?? Also, is the visor adjustable? Thanks for your reviews ;)
Hi. Between this and he Lazer Osprey Carbon what should i get if were you? Thanks
Hey Team ZILLA , first your videos are awesome. Secondly i am looking forward to buy a new helmet, im now wearing a RPS 10 in Spies Replica, would you recommend the RPHA10 for me ?`are ther huge differences ? Thankya
Does anyone know if there are any other helmet manufacturers using that front locking system for the face shield?
Hey AlefGotis, feel free to give our Gear Geeks a call if you need more advice based on REAL EXPERIENCE. Everyone who answers the phone is a hardcore rider, including our three partners, Nick, Matt, and muscle boy... er, I mean Anthony. :-)
Is this helmet manufactured in different shell sizes I'm battling a mean case of the bobble head right now!
I'm having trouble choosing between size xl and xxl. My head size is 61.4 and my forehead is kind of short. Can anyone help me on this?
Thanks
I really like the look of the helmet plus I have been happy with hjc company it self.
so this is actually the R-PHA 10 plus then?
I like it. -Hi-Viz Brian
But looking at the detailing of the chin vent and visor lock, I can tell it's the PLUS-model :)
Great channel btw! Love these awesome detailed reviews, by a professional and very eloquent presenter. Keep up the good work!
I have the same helmet, and I am getting Sena 20s. Where do one install speakers? I do not see any dedicated speaker cutouts.
You can either mount them to the strip of fabric on the cheek pads by your ears, or you can cut that fabric strip out of the cheek pads, so you can mount the speakers to the inside of the helmet shell. -DrewZilla
Hi, I've heard that the RPHA 10 comes with dark face shield included with the regular clear shield. Is that true?
-Hi-Viz Brian

-CK
RevZilla
Thank you for the answer!
Can we remove the strap or replace?
No, for obvious safety reasons, the chin strap is strongly bolted to the helmet shell and cannot be removed. -DrewZilla
can i install the sena 10c in this helmet?????
Yes, you can install the Sena 10C in this helmet. -DrewZilla

-Hi-Viz Brian
www.araihelmet-europe.com/site/collection/chaser-v/
I have the old Chaser model, not the V, like this: www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/product_images/arai_chaser_guardian_rear.jpg
It's made in 2009 and it's been through a lot!!Sweat and sea salt to name a few!!Just measured myself 57,8cm.
ftougmt I'd recommend a Medium based on your 57.8cm head circumference. -Hi-Viz Brian
Thank you very much for the info!
Appreciate it!
hi,i have a schuberth sr1 helmet which i find to be perfect.!but, because i dropped it(a couple of times..)from my hands i'm now looking for a new one.I'm between hjc and shark race-r.Which one do you think would fit me better, given the schuberth
(large by the way) had a perfect fit on my head!Keep up the great work!!
johnkap The RPHA 10 and Race-R Pro have neutral to slightly round head shapes. Your Schuberth SR1 has a slightly narrow head shape. I recommend looking at the Shoei RF-1200. -Hi-Viz Brian

hi can you please tell me the difference between the RPHA 10 and 10+?
The 10+ is labeled for Snell 2015. Other than that, the helmets are the same. The non-plus is labeled for Snell 2010. The actual Snell standard didn't really change though. -DrewZilla
+RevZilla thanks!

The Shoei RF-1200 is the better helmet. -DrewZilla

Hello Revzila. Can i ask, i just looking quiet helmet. Can you offer any helemt
can you review the RPHA 10 + Carbon
-DrewZilla
hey i have a question,
is there any difference in between the shells of medium size and large size , is it true if the size L , the shell size bigger then size M shell? or it just difference in the cheek/top pad?
-DrewZilla
Does water go through the back vent holes ?
Ace T If you're riding for extended periods through heavy rain, water may start to enter through the back vent holes. Normally, though, the negative pressure formed at the rear vent holes keeps water from entering. -DrewZilla
Thanks a lot :D
Does it have ear cutouts for a communicator?
Yes, the RPHA 10 has speaker cutouts for a communicator. -Hi-Viz Brian
Your thoughts, HJC RPHA 10 vs BELL RS-1 or HJC RPHA 10 VS BELL Star.
-Hi-Viz Brian

What differnt with rpha 10 plus??
mikael rayvaldo They are basically the same helmets. One is sold in the U.S. (RPHA-10) and one is sold in Europe (RPHA-10 Plus). -Hi-Viz Brian
But the helm is same? If i buy,you prefer rpha 10 or rpha 10 plus? And the size XL with nolan n63 have different??
mikael rayvaldo It's like the Shoei RF-1200 and Shoei NXR. -Hi-Viz Brian

would this helmet have a good vertical view , currently using a shoei on track but when tucked my view is blocked due to how low the shoei visor sits on my brow , have tried a arai rx-7v in which the vision was perfect , just the price tag
I am completely stuck on this or the r2000 scorpion. What would you guys suggest and why??
What's the snell rating it would really help me out
The RPHA 10 was Snell M2010. The RPHA 10 Pro is Snell M2015. The new RPHA 11 Pro is DOT/ECE instead of DOT/Snell. -DrewZilla

But they do have cheaper in price helmets.
rpha 10 or rf1200 or exo r2000??
For all-around riding, we tend to prefer the RF-1200. It works well on the street as well as the track. -DrewZilla
