Now I see why everyone is suggesting WD over drake. The placement of WD next to skeletons was brilliant. You need to clip that little bit and make it a UA-cam short.
This is my preferred team but still leveling them up. Great video but looks like I have a lot of work ahead of me. And with your execution here and everything you built up you still have to outrace at the end.
Dont worry too much about the race at the end, it's a little deceiving and more of a matter of timing. You don't want to start phase 3 until overtime, dealing with the P3 wardens without the overtime gold bonus is extremely hard so essentially you're stalling time until that point, and if you start sending your final push with around 1:40 left you'll have plenty of time to spare.
The lower your Drakkisath the more levels the rest of the army will need, some players killed it with level 25 Drakk but made up for it with a 27 shaman for example. I don't remember seeing any 24 Drakks or lower, but it could be possible with enough levels somewhere else.
Really incredible seeing a lvl 22 WD put in so much work. I have been pumping stars into my drake following Bulava's video but I may have to switch to WD now.. WD lvl 23 rare with the slot bonus, Drake at 25 though
I tried drake at 25 and for me WD worked way better. Drake is great when you don't play skeleton party, it helps so much with the earth elementals, but since the elementals are already handled easily by the skeletons it loses value for these builds. 4g just for whelp clearing is too expensive.
It's different for each person. If your Drakk is on the bottom of the deck, try to wait and defend while you clear whelp eggs until you can start your push. You have a lot of time so don't worry about wasting some at the beginning.
@@huskykatt So I got the last few stars for my pyromancer and Drak getting them to rare on this blackrock week. After couple days and dozens of attempts, I had 4 frustrating games where I needed less than five seconds more to win. Woke up and beat her today just before I had to get ready for work! how do you manage to have Drakkisath and Shaman ready on the beginning? in my game it takes 4 or 5 other minis and so I'm not able to take the tower because of too much enemies spawned
Each player has a different starting hand, you can shuffle it by changing the position of your minis in their army slots. Unfortunately you can't change the order for Drakkisath, so you'll have to wait and defend or send minis to whelp lanes before your first push
With the nerf to the eggs in his talent, is it better to use them with the talent that makes them come out at the same time? Are they still important to the strategy or would it be better to replace them?
Whelps main role in this team is to retake the towers after the phase transitions, their talent won't make a big difference. The secondary use for Flame Burst whelps in most teams was to kill necromancers, but if you are running WD and Pyro necromancers won't be a problem at all. I wouldn't replace them because my Drakk was 27 so my pushes were strong. I value more how helpful whelps are during phase transitions, but if I had a lower level Drakk I would consider Ogre Mage (frost talent) over whelps to make my pushes beefier and use that to retake the towers instead.
@@MrWirrywirry Both are very close, pick the one you like the most. I'd still use the explosions, it can be useful when placed next to a constructing tower to stop it from building if anything hits the eggs
I'm assuming you mean while sending it to clear whelps? The positioning is very important, you have to deploy it close to the rocks and only in the right side, he won't clear the left side at low level.
The only kill I've seen with Drakkisath 25 had a Shaman 27 to make up for it. You can try, maybe it's possible, but it will be difficult without Drakk or Shaman 26 or higher. Good luck!
Try to react quickly when Onyxia deploys any unit before it damages your tower, use the pause button if needed while learning and check what you have available to counter it, usually a pyroblast or whelp eggs. Other than that try to get as much gold as possible from chests and mines and very important don't go into phase 2 too soon, you really want to have your skellies and whelp eggs placed before pushing for the next phase. I didn't count the tries but I recorded all the progress, total is around 8 hours spread over 3 days. 3h on the 31st, 1h on april's 1st and 4h today.

Yeah that works, it will be harder to play it though, you'll have to pay more attention to the earth elementals
