Once you providion your baremetal or storage or router/switch, once you have that ip address, ansible can take over from there. It is best not to integrate any particular tool like ansible or chef because you never know which one will survive after a decade or a customer might be using something other than the one we integrated. So it is best to have something like rest api where anyone can make use of it, it will automation tool agnostic
