lol everyone in the comments is literally missing the point, sure its expensive but eventually the price will drop - second hand market will definitely be a thing & having a reliable, safe and regulated small electric urban vehicle will make a difference and the target market is probably more the mid-life urban commuter who thinks it looks cool at this point - a little bit like the guy in the video. I reckon give these a couple more years and all the big bike manufacturers will start offering this sorta thing also this is the '50cc' version, theres a '125' version of the ce02 and then the ce04 is bigger but a similar idea with sorta '650cc' and '1000cc' ish versions so dont hate on it for being tiny :)

Somehow this is exactly what I expected all Irish Times journalists to sound like.
The problem is insurance is high as well for extra 10mph. £9000 with insurance is 9 times more than an ebike.
Just go and buy a SpeedPedelec bike, also goes up to 45km/h and you get some exercise as a bonus.
The more powerful version makes sense. Rather pricey, though. Why can't you charge the battery overnight? It's the normal thing to do.
Really struggling to see the point of this
The price performance usefulness ratio is absolutely silly. Just get an electric bicycle for much less or a proper motorcycle for the same price.
Buys a proper 125cc bike you have 1000 euro left for fuel and you can still buy a good ebike with the same speed as this thing🤡🤡
Just wait half a year and get the Segway Xyber, way cheaper & cool looking than this overpriced toy
