ALL ISLAND WESTERN CADET BAND CHALLENGE TROPHY-2024
37 Boy and 09 Girl Western Cadet Bands reported to the NCC Training Centre Rantambe on 25 September 2024, with the aim of winning the All Island Western Cadet Band Challenge Trophy-2024 of the NCC, after showing and proving their talents at Battalion and Provincial levels and in the end upon reaching the culmination.
To command the aforementioned 46 Western Band Cadet Platoons, 39 Platoon Commanders including 03 Lady Officers and 06 Platoon in Charge Teachers have reported to this national level camp. 23 boy and 08 girl Senior Non Commissioned Officers also have reported to assist the Principal Staff Officers of this Camp.
The Board of Assessment has been appointed by the Director NCC and it's comprised of Officers from Tri-Forces, Police, Ministry of Education and the National Cadet Corps. Most of them are veterans in the field of music bands.
