@@Michael-hw5qqthey both have an A tier, but that doesn't mean they can never beat characters with a S tier. I love it to play as Rosalina, but I doubt as who I gonna play in a competitive game. Kamek is a viable choice for me if I want to win, but Rosalina has always been my number one favorite Super Mario character.
ironically, Wiggler has the same stats as Waluigi with the exception being his kart size which is smaller, so if he was released in an earlier wave, then Wiggler on the Wiggler kart would've been the meta.
Gotta agree with Mushroom Gorge. I love they brightened the colors up and I love that that’s really the main change. I don’t think Anti Grav or Blue Panels would work as well visually in this map.
Honestly I mostly play 200cc so I got nothing for 150cc. But the hardest track for me in 200cc is definitely Ninja Hideaway. Very difficult for me to say the least. Still can’t get used to that track 😅

No yeah, Ninja Hideaway is borderline unplayable on 200cc. Sharp turns that are unforgiving? An enclosed space with walls to slam into? I still cannot figure out the strat for it without crashing or getting out of control, lol
I am not sure if you are aware Troy, but Wave 5 changed how drifting works. You can't drift inwards as tightly as before. However, if you clip the off-road while drifting, it reverts back to how drifting was prior to wave 5. The majority consensus at this point is that it is a bug as why would it "fix" itself after touching off-road. It may explain why you feel more out of control than usual.

on 300cc, my favourite course is hellway highway for its intense ending lava section
I think amen lash is better cuz of the crazy rooftop driving. On 300cc it's easy, but 400cc is hard
200 cc is back! I know of a certain shortcut on Athens... also the most difficult track for me.

I think Athens is the hardest when you don't know it bc of the blind turns but once you learn it then I think Vancouver is the hardest

This week has been the most generous and glorious content I’ve ever seen from Troy especially because Wave 5 nailed it with very new and iconic characters and tracks added to the history of Mario Kart! This is the 11th video in a one-week span based on the amount of awesomeness this wave featured!
Some of the turns on Athens Dash (200cc) are really awkward but i find squeaky clean sprint the hardest.

Video idea: sorta like the all-character challenge, but you're trying to use all 18 types of tire and keep it under 100 points. (You could use Standard tires to replace the gold tires if you don't have them.) I chose 100 points because tires affect the vehicle combo much more!
Gold tires have the same stats as I think Slick tires? So just using Slick twice would work

TWD98, you should play as Yoshi in the Yoshi bike as that has the same idea as Wiggler in the wild Wiggler but was and still is highly underappreciated. Show people that they are forgetting the origins of this idea (despite the fact that the egg 1 from DS is not in this game).
Hey dude! If you deploy your bomb just before the red shell hits you it’ll stop the shell and you’ll take no penalty! So instead of holding the bomb and letting the red act on it - just let the bomb go and the red shell will target that!

DK Summit is really easy if you don't use the half pipes but the gap shortcut can be deadly. I think the hardest 200cc can be neo bowser city because breaking can lose lots of position
I knew that Wiggler is gonna take over the Mk 8 meta. I knew it. I called it too.
They need to give every player the option in the settings to choose whether they prefer 150, 200, mirror mode, or 100 for online races, and then the aggregate of the preferences of all the players in the lobby should affect the odds of getting any particular mode. If you're in a room of high level players where 9 of 12 checked that they want to do 200cc, then it should be more likely than not that you're getting 200cc.

The hardest track in the DLC..? I'm not sure, I was expecting it to be Moonview Highway, but that one's not bad, still hate it though (all on 200cc, it's the only one I play) - w -
If I had to choose though.... probably Vancover Velocity? It's still really fun though, one of my favorite Tour courses we've gotten
My favorite overall course is Rainbow Road (Mario Kart 7)

Red Shells are just too common on MK8 deluxe, and especially for 2nd place i don't know how often 2nd place gets 4 red shells from a double box, but more often than I like to see it.

Wave 5 has turned into a complete item spam fest. And I swear the hitboxes have gotten larger on everyone. The green shells are OP. There is NO margin for error anymore, you get hit once and you are at the mid to back of the pack. I have 99999 VR and even I am struggling.
For the the decreased chance to get 200cc and mirror mode is a huge W, I am not a fan of 200cc but this chance rlly sucks for the people who love 200cc.

I believe the Pipe Frame, City Tripper, and Varmint beat out the Teddy Buggy in 200cc, the extra handling and acceleration can be so important!

Ok after seeing how Moonview highway plays on 200cc i think my minds changed on it in this game. It's definitely easier on 150 but 200 brings the challenge back and it being wider with less traffic makes it better for 200 but is still challenging.

Moonview Highway definitely feels better on 200cc and is one of if not the best car tracks in MK8DX. I love shroom ridge as well.

JPGiviner made a video breaking down the changes and the pipe frame is not better than the teddy or Ink Striker, but it does compete with them, as well as the Streetle and the Tanooki kart
If troy fan saw your driving, he would instantly be nmeade fan. Out of the 8, I think athens is the hardest on 200 which surprises me as I thought clean would be the toughest

going back to this video and i just noticed im in the first couple of races which is so weird cause i do not remember ever playing with troy but it’s cool nonetheless
My main combo was luigi with pipe frame before they even started changing stats in the dlc and I have noticed that the combo feels much faster now that they buffed pipe frame

if you want to win in 200cc use yoshi bittybuggy it has the least speed but it makes that up for astonishing mini turbo and the yoshi tier has the best mini turbo but it has a disadvantage given it has the least invincibility in the entire game

I don't play worldwide mode I like mainly racing #MK8D with people inside the USA with a few people outside the USA. I also don't like 200cc and mirror mode so I'm glad they made those not show up as much in normal online races.

I find Athens Dash the hardest. Might be because I'm so unfamiliar with it, but I often have no clue where I'm supposed to go and end up going into a wall
I mean I think this is just the general consensus on how every tour track feels until you’re extremely familiar with it and I mean that in a negative way. It’s so odd how they design those tracks I thought at first it was just a new philosophy or team they had doing tracks but squeaky clean is very clear on where to go. Tour tracks just kinda suck until you’re used to them then they’re okay
Yeah, sounds like you haven't played it a lot yet. Just play it 2-3 times offline and you'll know it, I mean we have raced the other tracks for 9 years already, of course this one feels different after only 2 days. Also it's mostly another route every lap, so you only drive each one once per race, whereas with the usual tracks you go the same way 3 times in a row...that also explains why we remember the usual ones faster.
