Petrify is not working for me on the Tonberry’s at all, I cast it four times with Yuffie and three times with Aerith with Doppelgänger and Arcane Ward up and it never petrified a single one and did almost no damage. I just got murdered by scourges eventually

You probably need some instant death protection if they're killing you before you get your spells off.
