The music and especially the singer has to be epic, theatrical and grandiose. 99% of “so called” doom nowadays has nothing to do with the real maccoy. Lots of death metal are very close to be doom, but because of the vocal the can’t be. Some Black Sabbath and early Candlemas represent Doom.
