Yeah I wanted to grow jack fruit on my subtropical lot in florida. Then I thought about it. No I don't want a 25 pounder falling 80 foot down us😮 Plus they're spiky too! So the moral of the story is when dealing with or growing something.Think about it falling on you and attacking you😂
WpW. I was holding my breath when it dropped. Great video, bit nerve-wracking but it got there. Loved the music, sounded Scottish (where I come from). Scotland UK. 🙏👍💛💯💛👍🙏
I am surprised that pumpkin didn't smash into pieces when it dropped. Just goes to show how thick and tough the skins are. I will be reminding you in spring to sew your pumpkin seeds nice and early and get that pumpkin patch ready!
i miss having our old house. I use to love growing veggies. I was surprised the first pumpkin I grew survived. It weigh less than 20 pound but it felt great of an accomplishment. I hope next year you get into that competition with a beautiful whopping pumpkin 🎃. Dedicated to Rita. ❤
Even the chicken was alarmed when the pumpkin dropped 😂. Fun just to compete to find out what the pumpkins weighed. Kind of an interesting weight (925) for the nearly silver colored pumpkin.
Echo is like your literal shadow, but whenever he goes underneath the pumpkin, my anxiety levels rising. It made me chuckle when he immediately went to the goats and got spooked by the electric fence 😂 It's a lesson learned for everyone: don't let giant pumpkins suspend in the air for too long 😂
Interesting about your city using sirens to call firefighters. It's all weather releated or the weekly test siren here. It's wild how big those pumpkins can get 😲
Hoping Nurse Rita and Green Queen in the decomposed soil will help you next year for a big pumpkin Cody 🙏🦆🐔🎃 Those were some pretty big pumpkins your friends grew. Poor Echopup getting shocked by the fence on his beautiful nose. Giving you a kiss 💋 😘 to make it all better ❤🐕
I've been waiting for this video. It obviously is quite a production to plant, nurture, nurse, and transport mega pumpkins. It looked like a lot of work, but it had to be a satisfying project. The first pumpkin had such beautiful color and skin. I've watched pumpkin contests before, but this time, I got to see the behind the scenes action. So, did you bring your critters any leftovers? Can such big pumpkins be used for cooking and baking? This whole process must have been fun. What's next?
The pumpkins are sitting out for display, before they get soft they'll be cut open and the seeds harvested. The animals and compost will get the left overs, the giant pumpkins are typically lacking flavor being watered down.
Glad you got the pictures before it fell! 😳 I have never seen a pumpkin this large!!! Holy smokes!!! I hope you get one next year!!! 👍 Oh, poor Echo! He learned about electric fences! Is the 2nd one a different variety? It's just not as orange! But, it's huge, too!! 😮 So cool they did well...even tho they didn't win!! It was fun to watch!! (So many things I have no idea about!! Lol!!)
My ex mother in law made fresh pumpkin pies every year- that's the only kind if pumpkin pie I'll eat it tastes so much better than the store bought ones ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
What if you grew a pumpkin in a mesh sling suspended off the ground so it grew more spherically and eventually. I’m thinking of something like a Bagster but with a mesh bottom so it could breathe and drain moisture away?
Cody, thank you so much for sharing this video. I absolutely love it dude that sucks so hope they had that he dropped the pumpkin, but it completely makes sense as to why or how I’m just glad that he’s still able to qualify… Same prayers and hopefully you get uspumpkin next year. When is the earliest you can plant or replant or start seeing pumpkins grow?
Too much activity and action for Echopup has to be told numerous times by his daddy 😮😮😊Music sounds Southern style😂❤❤❤😊😊😮😮😮 😉🎃🎃🎃😜😜🎃🎃🎃😜😜😜✝️✝️🐕🦺🐕🦺😍😍🌏🌏🤩🤩🤩✨✨✨
My brother was a volunteer firefighter he was in for 44 years, he died of covid-19, when our children were toddlers we taught them to duck when siren took off that way my brothers could jump over them and they were not in the way or got knocked over by accident; after they where gone they'd wait to hear which way siren were going if they went by house they'd wave to the firemen- they knew better than to go into road (they'd be punished - they would be in house rest of day not outside playing) so they stayed away from road did not take long to teach them to stay away from there
Echo pup is like a two year old. Tell him six times and he waits till you’re not looking 😂
Awesome pumpkins!!!
Am I the only one freaked out when pup is close to the pumpkin in the air 😅
My eyes widen real big and said NO Echopup get out of they way boy 😮❤🐕
Poor Echo pup got shocked by electrical fence 😢. Great video to watch. It had suspense, shock and Awe 😂😊❤

Echo pup really trusts your engineering skills.❤
Wow, absolutely awesome! How can they grow that large?
Selective breeding

This is interesting, that pumpkin is enormous!

It's INSANE how the siren started the moment the pumpkin fell!! ❤❤❤
Cody. You are so smart.
Hi Cody, this was a nice video, but scary one for Pup! At least everything turned out well. Next year your pumpkin will be the best! Keep being Cody!
I hope so too!
Beautiful nose on Echo I kiss it better for you baby Puppy🥰🥰🥰😍🌹🥰🥰🥰😍😘😘😘😘😘😘💙🐕🦺🌏😘😘😘Toes cute toooo😁😁🤗🤗😁🤗🐾🐾🐾🐾🦮🐾🐾🐾🐾🦮🤗😁🤗🤗
The second one looked like a giant Blue Hubbard squash. You’ll get yours next year, Cody!
That's a whole lot of pies, cookies, soups, muffins, bread, roasted seeds!😮
🤩Woah… I’m wondering how many pumpkin pies I could make out of those 😅
Thank you for taking us along.
Thank you Cody’s friends.
🕊️
Idea maybe -- Grow and Place the pumpkins on a pallet , haravest time use the forks on the tractor to move the pumpkin.
Yeah, lifting the pumpkin with the pallet supporting the base of the pumpkin seemed best.
They don't have a tractor, that's why we made a tripod

Yes I been waiting for this 😊

@@WhittAcres LOVED IT !! I didn't know how the pumpkins got picked up !!! NOT so easy ! You all did a great job!!
@@WhittAcres You and your friends did a good job !!! That's what friends are for.
Loving all the shirtless Cody we’ve been getting.
Indeed! I think men from Western PA are looking good.
He certainly is in shape! 💪💪
That was fun! Thanks for taking us along ❤
I agree 🎃😁🥳🎃
Wholesome fun for the boys in the backyard.
God Bless them all.
I love your videos 👋🌸
It is good to see friends helping each other. Echo-Pup loves actions.
Ouch poor puppy, though I doubt it was to much of a shock. And how nice of the barn animals to help you censor out certain words.
Flower is beautiful

Eco pup, No Being under Pumpkin!!! WoW no more Eco Pup, or Cody seen that picture taken Cody..Love Hugs n Happy Times, 1000 lb Pumpkin!! 😅
Thus was fun different kind of video. Makes me wanna grow a giant pumpkin. I live in Indiana. We mainly grow corn ..lol
Your state record is over 1900lbs, they grow them all over!

@WhittAcres I kind of figured that, so thanks for confirming 👍
That scratch will buff out!

Same kind of seed, just some different genes
Oh how beautiful 😊
Wow! Those were huge! ❤❤
And that’s why you don’t get curious and get underneath it to take a picture!
My ex mother in law made fresh pumpkin pies every year- that's the only kind if pumpkin pie I'll eat it tastes so much better than the store bought ones ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Oh wow they grow big!! Echopup don’t be under that pumpkin!
That is a nice pumpkin 🎃 you tell them Cody
Wait, I'm on my way......see ya there😅
Try some goose necked gourds next year. They look so much like geese.
They do! I have some dried in the barn
I had that type of alarm in Pa too when I was a kid
We never knew what it was
Fire whistle to call in volunteer firefighters

If entering your pumpkin into a challenge does the crack affect your entry eligibility?
What do you do with something this big when it starts to stink and rot?
Compost and animal feed
Echo pup made contact with the electric fence????
Yeah
Pop some straw under pumpkin while is growing
That can attract slugs which will devour the pumpkin in days
🎃🎃🎃🎃🐕🦺🎃
What happens to all these giant pumpkins after the show?
Are they good for eating? 😅
People do buy them for many reasons
What was the siren in background? Tornado warning???
For fire
Some super glue and finger nail polish and you're good.😎

Hey Cody are they both your brothers
Neither
@@WhittAcres thanks babe for letting me know 😘
Why is there an alarm going off?? Bomb tornado??!?
They said volunteer fire department call
Why does he have an electric fence????
To keep his animals safe
Why go to all that trouble. Just film it. Next year.
such inherent natural wisdom. harvesting. such a masculine male trait. even gardening and planting crops. very innate natural wisdom
I love your videos. Can I make a suggestion, though? Just use the sounds of nature. The music is, sorry, really annoying.
Your friends donot listen to you
Poor Echopup just wanted to greet the goats and got shocked!
