Really well done video, thank you. I’m curious why you didn’t use a solid piece of maple, which you started out with.
The grain of this maple is very nice, well done! Thank you for the video and keep them coming!

Thank you!
Competition isn’t available in the UK ☹️
Great video though 👌🏻
I have an issue with gaps in between the boards when i glue them together which is irritating to say the least. I must say making cutting boards is fun but its a lot more difficult than i imagined it'd be. Gaps between the pieces, when you go to tighten the clamps the whole thing tends to bow upward, definite learning curve.
I have experienced that too. I've found that sometimes, after you mill the strips of wood, let them sit in your shop for a few days before the glue up. Then run them through the jointer/planer (if you have them) one last time before the glue up. Should help close those gaps and ensure nothing moves afterwards. Also, try to use clamping cauls to make sure the board is nice and flat during glue up as well.
i stopped wiping glue squeeze out and it helps
great job easy to follow thanks for sharing

Question on your track saw: “ why do you have painters tape on the side of your saw?”
Someone told me it helps with dust collection
So I’m new to wood working about as new as you can get. I’ve made three cutting boards so far and it’s been nothing but a frustrating experience. Two have been made out of spalted maple and one spalted oak. Moisture of the wood is around 9% from what I’m told around here that’s about the best it’s going to get. My issue is after jointing and plaining the boards are flat as can be but the next day they are cupped and no longer flat and unstable. I would love to know what I am doing wrong any help would be greatly appreciated.
One thing you can do is place them on a flat surface and use a flat board to place over them and weigh it down. If you have enough weight evenly dispersed it should help to prevent that.
If you’re ever needing a project to show us maybe you can try a rolling pin on the lathe!
If I ever get a lathe, that may be my first project!
That would be awesome!
عالی بود 👏
When i test my cutting board, i wash it after cutting on it, when i wipe it it leavea brown color on the towel, if the cutting board is walnut, why is that?
Loved the video! and I have a couple questions, what table saw, bandsaw, and editing program do you use? Thanks!
Thanks! 1. Delta 36-725 2. Rikon 10" (link in description), and 3. Adobe Premiere Pro with After Effects.
Are you still liking the BumbleChutes oil and is it what you would still recommend? Thanks man
Yes, still love it!
You said end grain but it's a face grain cutting board, right?
Did not rewatch the video but he may have said edge grain which is another way of saying face grain.
I've watched both cutting board videos. What do you sell them for?
Eh, I don't mass produce these. Usually only sell to friends and family somewhere between $60-100
How do we enter the giveaway? Nice cutting board, by the way
Link to the giveaway in the video description!
greatttttttttttttttttttttttttttt
thankssssssssssssssssssssssss
How much do you charge to make these?
I usually charge $60-80 for them, selling only to family and friends.
You’re so handsome.❤️🥰😍
☺️
You should have made one piece cutting board instead of cutting that into pieces and using adhesive
Ok.
Awesome stuff as always!
Thanks Tim!
