At 4:04 I misspoke, conveying that Tripura was part of Assam. It was not. Tripura was a UT till 1971 and then a full state. What i meant to convey was that AFSPA was applied separately for each state as and when created.

I am from Assam and I can say that 90% of extremist groups are now talks with Government and now they are sitting peacefully inside their designated camp. Rest of 10% , majority of people will not support them. But confidence building among the public is very important. So Army should be very careful before taking any steps. Otherwise all the situations will going worst. Slowly and steady after 30/40 years all the students unions, civil societies are now support our government and Army's. In the main time if Army doing anything mistakes it will be disastrous move.

AFSPA should only be a temporary measure, within a restricted area only instead of whole state, and should be subject to checks and balance. Otherwise there wont be any difference with the Rowlatt Act of the British period.

People from Other than NE are easily commenting that AFSPA should be there. How easy it is to say nh that AFSPA should be there until your loved one get killed by arm forces.
yeah you are right other parts gets killed by gangsters and police refuse to help whereas here army is directly keeping control of the terrorist.
What to say? We have seen lots of innocent people lost their lives due to AFSPA since our childhood. Not a single proper enquiry has done yet. You are absolutely correct it is very easy to comment but in reality nobody is serious to remove this article. Just think those 13 innocent civilians who losts their lives. And their family members will never get justice. Just a little amount will be released as compensation. But very soon similar incident will took places some other parts of Northeast. And it will continue...
Buddy our army is the last resort can CM of nagaland or people of nagaland deal with militancy? It's easy to say remove AFSPA ..once it will get removed nagaland will become a state like Taliban .. i feel sad that our 13 citizens lost their lives , but there are so many army people lost their lives too while protecting the local civilians

Can you justify why only NE has AFSPA and not in Naxal affected areas? Can you give me a case where anyboday from Army has been punished for Sexual harassment in NE? And yeah Taliban and insurgency are of two different things.. North east is more peaceful than UP and Bihar, Punjab..

The problem is noboday care about NE. It is like to protect integrity AFSPA is required and fundamental rights are secondary for NE people.
When you say AFSPA should be there, remember AFSPA gives a feeling of 2nd class citizen to NE people along with feeling of being alienated by Delhi. Remember Pakistan exists because someone felt Alienated?? Removing AFSPA is not only good for NE people but for India also. If no removal, at least there should be accountability for actions of Army.
Bu your logic Punjab should also fall under AFSPA nh? Khalistani People do exists even in a small portion.. then why no AFSPA in Punjab??

सर झारखंड प्रसाशनिक सेवा आयोग ने 19 सितंबर 2021 को JPSC (7th to 10th) की प्रारंभिक परीक्षा ली है परीक्षा में इतनी अनियमितता हुई है कि फेल स्टूडेंट्स को पास दिखाया गया है जो उपस्थित नही हुए उनको पास कर दिया गया है और इन सबका *सबूत आयोग और राज्यपाल* को सौंपा गया है और झारखंड में पीछले 50 दिनों से इस बात को लेकर की pt की परीक्षा jpsc की रद्द होनी चहिये छात्र आंदोलन कर रही है। लेकिन हम छात्रों पर लाठियां बरसाई जा रही है और रात को 12 बजे आंदोलन स्थल से उठाकर हमें बलपूर्वक थाना ले जाया जा रहा है सरकार जरा भी संज्ञान नही ले रही है। मेंस की तारीख 28 से 30 जनवरी 2022 को तय कर दी गयी है। जो स्टूडेंट्स कटऑफ से अधिक no लाये है उनका भी रिज़ल्ट्स नही हुआ है और जो कटऑफ से कम नंबर लाएं है उनका रिजल्ट में नाम है। *सर आपसे बस इतनी मदद चाहिए कि इस मुद्दे को राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर आपका सहयोग मिल जाये तो बहुत कृपा होगी🙏* सर हमारे आयोग(JPSC) के अध्यक्ष **bcci के पूर्व उपाध्यक्ष अमिताभ चौधरी** जी हैं जिनपर 197 करोड़ के घोटाले का आरोप की भी जांच चल रही है सर आप इस मुद्दे को अपने चैनल पर उठा दीजिये बस
