Oh man. Brings back some memories of my days pulling rigging in SE AK in the early 70s. Running the same grabinski set up and nasty kinky inch chokers. Thank god I was young!!
Watched 2 other skadill videos first about the Madill(not operating) and since I know nothing about logging I was kind of disappointed that the only thing it does is drag logs on the hill. Where's the gigantic sawblade? Hydraulic arm.....? Not even a cannon? :P Makes for a good lightning rod, wouldn't want to be near it when the thunder comes
yep, but if you were they guy that used to drag those logs up the hills with mules and manpower then you thought this was the most amazing thing in the world.

We call it logging,or harvesting, but theres no rule on what term you want to use.
Spent.most of my twenties out there on the rigging!!
Cut my teeth setting chokers on a 009.
how do the guys on the hill communicate back to the driver ?
