Listen to NFL Films Greg Cosell, according to the film, Diggs is no longer a #1 WR. The Bills got a #2 (and probably a fairly high #2 since it will be from the Vikings) which is nice compensation. He will still be productive, just not a #1. Bills got out a year early rather than a year too late. Good move Bills.

I believe ppl are overreacting to this trade, and the Bills will be fine. We drafted Kincaid to be a Kelce like TE, and I believe this season is his big breakout year. I think they wanna run the ball more and use 2 TE sets, and they were successful doing that down the stretch and Diggs wasn't our most productive pass catcher going down the stretch. I think they'll pick up another role player WR in FA, and draft a top WR prospect and will be fine. I think Kincaid, Knox, Samuel, and Shakir will do more damage than ppl think.

Diggs was facing double coverage, but I don't think he can beat double coverage as good as he used to. I bet we will draft a young WR1, and do most of our damage with 2 TE sets, and as the year progresses, the rook WR will slowly become more involved, like the Chiefs did with Rashee Rice. Ppl also sleeping on Kincaid, who I believe takes the #1 spot at TE next year finally surpassing Kelce. He will have the most opportunities of any TE this season, being their biggest pass catching threat now. They'll probably double him and leave our WRs single covered giving us another way to attack. I think this was a good move for the team. Call me crazy.

It’s fun when they go after each other at times. It’s nice when sports talk isn’t just robotic agreement to avoid conflict. A bit of disagreement is nice when it’s respectful and the analysts can move past it with each other versus a situation like Skip and Shannon evolved into and basically killed a show that was pretty entertaining most of the time. A reliable, all-in mid-tier performer is preferable to someone who is super talented, but unreliable and no team-minded. A super-talented person out for themselves introduces a level of chaos that negates their contributions. At lease you can coach up the mid-performer who wants to be there. Naturally, you want the reliable, all-in superstar above all.

Meanwhile, McDermott only broke an 18-year losing streak for the Bills and has managed to win a competitive AFC East division for 4 straight seasons. Yes, he has more to prove and accomplish, but he has been by far the best Bills HC since Marve Levi 20 years ago. Blaming the Bills for signing Diggs and not reprogramming his behavior is completely asinine. They made good use of him, payed him well, and let him go when he became a liability. Love Diggs but my lasting memory will be the huge dropped bomb vs KC in playoffs last year. Allen shows nothing but respect for him but he doesn’t show the same respect back. He is 31 and a diva on the downside of career. I’m fine moving on if they bring in a WR round 1/2 this year. Sorry a 2nd next year for a 31 non elite WR is a good return.
