@Guthrie Trapp, Awesome work, brother. What is the communication happening when you pointed at the bassist and then put your finger straight in the air? Is that "go to the head", or is that "modulate up a step", or maybe just signalling to go to the next section? Just curious as a live musician myself if that is some Nashville insider stuff...?
@@2mcummings I was letting him know the AC just started working again.. No. I’m kidding. The bass player (who you can’t hear in these clips) had just learned these songs that evening. Our other guy got COVID and had to cancel last minute. That build up to go to the B chord (5 chord) is a felt thing timing wise .. so I was just erring him know.
So many layers here. He starts out paying tribute to the Humbler, and continues to do so, but throws in the works w EVH and do I hear Elliot Easton? That chorus run down is really well-crafted. Man if I could live in a treehouse somewhere on his property I'd be happy. I'd do yardwork, fix cars etc--for lessons of course.
Two rock fits your hands perfectly!!!! And this Tele that uncle Larry sold you is spot on man!!!! Your album 'Life after dark" was on repeat in my car today.,🤠🤠🎸🎸
What awesome playing, no doubt you are a world class player, a status that a few chosen achieve. It is so inspiring the beautiful sounds and tones you get out of your new amp and tele. Just being honest, you work heavenly magic out of the guitar and amp. Congratulations and thank you for posting this video. 🎸👏👍🙏😎✌️
Glad to see that you are gigging, I hope some sense of normalcy has returned, I wonder how many artists and musicians will have left the business permanently. My two bands are rehearsing without masks, no gigs up here though, my men's choir are masked, darn it I can't sing with a mask on. Steve in Toronto
That's what I call "Burning down the stage" This new amp set-up is a killer one. This song is such a beautiful illustration of your musicality from the first note to the very last one of the outro it sounds pure and organic
Wow GT and to the other 2 in your trio, that was killer, the 2 Rock and your new Tele, just sublime, I didn't know 'til now there were so many notes on a guitar, I have a Tele and it has no-where near that many. Nice job.
Thanks a bunch for watching. I know the sound isn’t perfect. It’s an iPhone clip from a little club gig. 👍🎶😎

@@2mcummings seems to me he was letting the bassist know he was finished soloing over C#minor to A, and to go up to a B chord.
Sounds great Guthrie! That audience is very lucky to see a player like you in a small club. When are you coming to Austin?
Maybe so...
But your a good guitar picker...

This is amazing! Definitely my favorite song you do! Thanks for posting
Great tune and playing with an assortment of tasteful tricks and tones.
Man you guys are peacing out the joint. This is soooo mellow and soulful. Always a pleasure to listen.
Why is it that the better I get at guitar the further out of reach your playing seems to be? BEAST!
Because he keeps getting getter too.😉
Woow this was brilliant! Made my day
Great songwriting
That is some tone! Great playing!
Your brain is like a computer, and mine can't think that fast. Awesome playing as always GT

The new amp sounds killer !
Cool Hendrix nod @ 2:28 Guthire is one of the best pickers out there.
Absolutely incredible playing and musicianship right there. Nice work Guthrie!

Absolutely fantastic, great playing and great tones!
My god what tone
Don't wear out that Two Rock! Ya just got it! 😊

Awesome! Maybe you could break down that intro progression on your next video.
Hopefully that bar is up to code with a fire extinguisher 🧯 nearby because that tele was SMOKIN’!!!
Very tasteful tune
Way to go Guthrie. Sounds good to my ears
Man. 🙌🏼🔥
Hell yeah!
Hey man, you're not too bad... ;)
Really nice. Wonder if title is reference to Bill Evans "Peace Piece".
Is that the new two rock?
Your always great but The new amp sounds really good Also . I can definitely hear the difference even over my tablet .
Jeepers, man! Phenomenal playing. Fantastic tone out of that rig. Would love to now what Tele that is. Very inspiring!
Thanks a bunch. That’s the Danocaster Tele I got from “Uncle Larry” and the Two Rock Classic Reverb Sig amp.
Far Out
Fucking brilliant! 👏🏼
Love this piece. Can't tell if that's your new Danocaster.
That was sick! Was that some Echoes riffs tossed in there as well? Love it
Any specs on the Dano tele ? Are you playing through the two rock here. This song took me back . So beautiful and fiery. . Made my day
GTrapp demonstrates how to rock a "Two-Rock" amp (think he likes it?)!
Nice nod to Pink Floyd in your solo. Great playing man.
👏😄
That dude with the ball cap on is pretty damn good guitar player. How are you liking the Two Rock, Guthrie?
Burning; great stuff. Two questions: what gauge strings are you using and do you have plans to come and play in NC any time soon?
D’Addario 10-46 for 35 years. No plans at the moment. Make me an offer I can’t refuse! 👍🎶😎
@@guthrietrappmusic I wish I could but I need to book my own gigs!😉
Nobody plays like GT!
Super freak status has been attained..wow
Fuck me Im giving up now not really.
Check what Joe and Billy say about GT:

Is that the Telle you just picked up from Uncle Larry? Sounds fantastic
This is disgusting.. absolutely disgusting..... Love the Pink Floyd "echoes" moment.. You murder thin air.
