- A close duel with Yugi where his AI is actually pretty decent this time. Quite the contrast from other duels I've had with him here. Probably helped him a bit that I was having really bad luck with drawing cards I could use effectively.

There is a v2 patch for Yugi The Destiny if you don't know about it, that makes the AI a little bit smarter; it will bring it to the level of Kaiba's AI. Like for example Yugi will always attack face-down defense position monsters with the highest attack instead of the lowest, and he will be a bit more hesitant to attack your defenses with weak monsters such as Man-Eater Bug and Hane-Hane, unless it is alone on his side of the field. Swords of Revealing Light will also show an hourglass instead of turns left like Kaiba's and Joey's games. Increasing/ decreasing atk/defense numbers will be gradual instead of jumpy.

You can improve your deck by just playing the minimum 40 cards and playing 2 summoned skulls instead of the 3 brick eyes, remove hane hane too, aqua madoor is a very good monster, try to add more strong spellcasters and fiend monsters to play around Yami card
Yugi is normally fairly easy to beat so a less than optimal deck at least gave him somewhat of a chance. I was surprised by how well he appeared to be playing considering how bad his logic normally is. You're right those changes would make for a stronger deck, though here I was trying to trigger a very specific bug, though after I failed to get the cards I needed for it I just went along with it as Yugi seemed like he was actually playing half decent for once.

Honestly, what I saw here suggests that it took you until the 4:35-mark to figure out how Trap Cards work. You had three Wabokus, two at the start. You could have used the first Waboku when Man-Eater Bug was attacked, prevented its destruction while the flip-effect destroyed Zombie Dragon. Next turn you play Hane-Hane and the second Waboku, preventing Beaver Warrior from destroying either the Man-Eater Bug or Hane-Hane. Then when it was your move you could have, if Beaver Warrior attacked Man-Eater Bug, flipped Hane-Hane to attack-position yourself to send Beaver Warrior back to Yugi's hand, then tributed both your monsters to summon Blue-Eyes White Dragon and attacked Yugi directly. It would have been a very different game after that. So sorry, but the reason this duel was a Close One wasn't that you had bad luck with drawing cards, you just didn't play your hand very well.
It wasn't the most optimal play and was quite possibly too passive, but my reasoning was I didn't want to risk everything on getting Blue Eyes White Dragon on the field as he could've easily had fissure, change of heart, dark hole, or even raigeki as he later did end up drawing. A deck full of decent attack monsters statistically should've had more chances of actually drawing a monster sooner than I did. It was one of the rare times I seen the AI actually be somewhat of a challenge even if it was because of how overly cautious I played.
@@deltaresero I mean, fair, but by not using Waboku you ended up with an empty field after each enemy's turn while the AI slowly built up his own field, and you didn't use your Raigeki to even the field either. So I honestly have to say the main reason the AI seemed so competent is that you did half its job for it. Granted, everything is easier with hindsight, but your own excessive caution was at least half of the reason you got pushed into a corner this badly before you managed to win.

You we're lucky he didn't had exodia because you stalled a lot with it, and also you could use Woboku to protect your hane-hane and after man-eater bug then you could summon blue-eyes to force raigeki

Phones generally use a different CPU architecture than a desktop/laptop. I'm not aware of any x86 emulators that could run on ARM processors. Also, I can't link anything like that here as it would just get removed by UA-cam automatically. The game I use is a physical copy anyway, though it wouldn't surprise me if someone made a digital copy of it online somewhere.

@@mugiwarafishing588 Steam Deck uses an AMD CPU, so in theory you could probably run it either through Proton or WINE since the OS is Linux based. Might even be possible to add it as a non-steam game and run it directly through the Steam interface with Proton. This would likely be the easiest method for the Steam Deck. As for the Asus Rog Ally, it does have a similar CPU and it has more than enough processing power to run it. As it's running some version of Windows on it, shouldn't need emulation nor a compatibility layer like with the Steam Deck as it should run it natively. Either device should be able to handle this game without too many issues.

If you mean the game, I'm just using my original disc. I'm not aware of any other releases, but there may exist copies of it online, though I can't link anything here due to them getting blocked/removed when I post links.

Great duel my friend! I got something important to ask you about since you seem like a power of chaos player. Are you aware in Joey the Passion that the AI won’t use some specific cards? For example seven tools of the bandit, snatch steal or curse of the masked beast ritual. I have noticed throughout my duels that the AI never uses them EVEN THOUGH the AI would have had a chance to to turn the tables. I was hoping if you know some sort of fix to this because it makes some duels easy and the cards are rendered useless when the AI has them.
Not a fan of modern Yu-Gi-Oh! btw.
While they fixed some of the bugs from the past games, they introduced a few new ones with the high amount of cards they added. I'm not sure specifically what's causing this issue. Could be a number of different things, but without being able to see the source code it would just be speculation. If I happen to find out more about it by some chance in the future I'll make a video about it.
@@deltaresero I have some interest in old/abandoned videos games where I like to reverse engineer and hack them. I am not sure I am gonna be able to start reversing this game though as I have never tried doing it in some way for a public repository on git. I’ll see what I can do as well here. Also the ceremonial bell card will show you the answer to some of the issues. It’s very obvious anyways lol.

My deck had mostly effect monsters in it so I didn't think it was too much of an issue. Didn't know what he had in his hand so I played cautiously instead of putting everything into summoning a powerful card.

Battle with Yugi ia easier than Battle With Kaiba or Joey.
Ironically their skill levels in the game are backwards to what they are in the animated series due to the order that the games got released (Yugi, Kaiba, then Joey).
I always thought Joey was easier, especially when Yugi always drew Exodia

Yeah, my deck had a lot more monsters in it, mostly level 4 and under effect monsters, but I wasn't drawing them that much so I had to rely on spell cards a lot.

Fair point. I was playing quite passively here expecting Yugi to play different cards than what he actually did.
