The gas override absolutely works on the oven. It makes it a VERY speedy oven though.

you missed this round of open playtest unfortunately, (it was june 3rd - june 6th) but the dev is opening up another public playtest this coming weekend (June 17 - June 20). check the plateup! discord for a playtest invite (under "events", one of the top items in their discord nav pane)
I was able to continue playing the playtest after it closed for a little while last week. I went into offline mode on steam, and ran the playtest .exe from the folder rather than using the steam ui. (not sure which of those things were actually necessary, but it was working... until I mistakenly updated on friday thinking the next playtest was open this weekend)

I had so much fun with the playtest. My first franchise was actually pizza. I know ya'll already finished recording these, but here's some 'mechanics' tips for next time:

to avoid having to take a blueprint out of a blueprint cabinet in order to move the cabinet, pick up something else (another blueprint if it's available) and "place" it where the blueprint cabinet is. This *exchanges* what you're holding - so you'll now be holding the blueprint cabinet *with* the blueprint still in it.
specifically for pizza:
1) You can use the sink to skip kneeding the dough.
2) You can "interact" with the oil bottle while holding the dough (rather than having to pickup the oil, bring it to your pizza, use it, and put it back)
3) The prep stations are great for sauce. if you've got enough prep stations you can make the pizza without a counter (except prepping the ingredients) - Pickup flour > interact with sink > interact with oil > Pickup tomato sauce from prep station > pickup cheese from prep station > place in oven. (if you have the sauce prepped and cheese on the counter rather than owning prep stations you can place the pizza down on the ingredient instead.)
4) You can hold a plate while "cutting" (interacting) with the pizza to skip juggling plates and cut slices on your counter space.
Also, the freezer can hold full, cooked pizza. I found this out when upgrading counterrs trying to get a chopping board, and it became pivotal for my franchise.
Adding to the plate up lore, if the messes is urine, and napkins remove messes, ...

Said it before, will say it again: Don't have a "dishes" room, put the sink in the restaurant (like last run), and have the server handle the plates. There's plenty of space not to get the table debuff.
I liked what they were initially doing too - you can keep the sink in the kitchen, and wash dishes through the window. I like to place a counter on the edge of the window to help "aim" to get around the corner - you could use the plate stack or dish rack for this. I don't think either causes a debuff for nearby tables)
that's what im thinking too, but for some reason they always put the sink in the "dish" room. going thru the doors and the extra walking slows them down
I do like how you're going full Pizza Bros with this run. Makes me wish they'd put out another DLC or update.

I would say that one person could probably handle the cooking. One other will just assist in making the initial pizzas and then assist in the tables and dishes. Having multiple servings for the pizza makes it easy to monitor what to prepare next and the cook can handle it alone after getting assisted in the early prep at the start of the round.
I brought a microwave for my pizza franchise run. I called it Digiornos.
Also, what music do you guys play underneath the game? I need this for my plateup games, even if they add their own music!

Ok way to improve pizza making 1.both jas and price should share the ingredients except the onion so one can make a regular pizza and onion pizza at the same time you will need two ovens 2.we learned that you can't put a whole pizza inside the prep station but maybe slices can so you put the slices in the prep station and since the pizza is four slices technacly you are putting the whole pizza in the preps and if you get four more preps you can replace the counters with them and have two preps four onion and the other two for reg pizza.

Jas said every pizza joint leaves the pizza under a light, well not this pizza place i work at call Fired Pie. It's yummy and fresh made to where you can add as many topping as you want. We have 70 some toppings :)

I would have gone affordable to get the heat lamps decorations. You also said you wanted them. It also fits 100% with the restaurant theming.
why not have the prep stations at the front and put pizza slices in them - servers can then have the plates and just pull from the prep stations then, surely that would be a lot quicker and less space used.
pizza slices can't be stored in prep stations for whatever reason. only storage option available is placing a whole pizza in a freezer (not prep station). Not sure if that's going to change in future patches, but that's how it was during the open playtest.
@@healerdan hopefully does get changed... seems logical for prep stations to be used in that way for pizza
Frozen prep station and freezer can hold either 4 pieces of pizza or 1 full pizza each so going for 2 or 3 of those might be good for early in the day
The frozen prep station can not hold any pizza, slices or full. Freezers though are very useful for starting the day with pizzas

before i watch this, i just wanted to say i was holding back to get a backlog of plate-up, but i had a dream i was IN plate-up, but it was kinda set up like a level from overcooked, and i was the chef, making hotdogs, by putting a pack of hotdogs in a pot of water, but the kitchen room and a small dining area were actually set on a lower level, and was surrounded by water for some reason. and i had an inventory of stuff like bones cafe cause i hadn't put down the potatos or chili beans. and then i lost my oven mitt and almost started a fire, so price helped me make more hotdogs for the customers.
just wanted you to know, and maybe we can get hotdogs, chili dogs, and chili fries in plate-up.
Don't personally like onion, but I love mushrooms. Chunky slices of mushrooms on pizza in my dream pizza. Also, Jazzy, please closing your self off from the customers, they can't hurt you.
