I’ve had gray since I was six. My parents colored it through high school. I stopped coloring in 1977... My gray is now silver. This hair is the hardest hair to work with but it’s mind. I’ve been rockin my salt and pepper hair for over 50+ years and now she’s turning white. I have just been embracing the new look on me.
Stop coloring/dyeing hair two yrs ago. Now I'm 54. As an old expression says, "if you don't mind it don't matter". I'm like this now. Just happy my hair is now healthy.
You're asking yourself all the right questions as you explore your options. You have a healthy outlook about it, so I say do whatever feels good. Your hair is dope either way.
Going Gray was the best thing for me. The color was making my hair dry & weak. Little pieces of hair would be everywhere. My scalp also feels better. I was in my fifties when I stoped coloring. I also look very young for my age. Surprisingly, I get a lot of complements, men and women. Some women would say I wish I had the courage to do it. One thing I will say it's your self confidence. Not what other people think. I even colored it twice and was sorry. Had to start over again. Now my hair is so healthy. I love my Gray hair. Be encouraged ❤
Embrace those gray hairs!😍I’ve been getting more and more each year and I’m 29. I actually love my grays that I am getting. It’s just wisdom flourishing through that’s all 🙂
a dear friend of mine told me she regrets not embracing her gray hair when it initially started. She kept coloring and would end up with three different hair colors and she soon grew sick of it. Once she decided to embrace it, she was completely gray and unveiling it was the hard part. Do whatever makes you happy.
I’m 48 & i decided I was going to embrace my grey. I have a big grey patch in the middle of my head also. I like it. Grey hair can be unruly. I get a lot of compliments on my grey & believe it or not there from men. I don’t thing the grey is going to make you look old. You can rock any hair style you want. Be confident and you’ll look great!
I started seeing grey hairs about 6 or 7 years ago. I never dyed my hair and now I'm 42. I used to be very self-conscious about them, but no one ever said anything either way. Not my friends and not my husband, so that allowed me to thunk about them less, and feel more comfortable with the natural hair journey and the graying of my hair. Don't let the gray hairs control you. You take control of them in whatever capacity that makes you feel comfortable. I'm willing to bet though you will still be beautiful and Youthful whether you let them shine or continue to cover them up. That's the beauty of us. It's black girl magic!
I'm51 excited for my Gray transition and original hair color is Sandy Brown but I started dye it black now it's been a year since putting dye in hair.I Love your video thanks for sharing
Hi!!!!! I love your channel and have been watching it for three years. I have been natural since 2013, have STRUGGLED with style choices because now I have more gray. Perceptions are sometimes difficult but at the end of the day I respect my resolve to do and be what I want. If you want gray, wear it! If you want color, wear it! You do you! My most complemented style choice was from your first ABC series -Reign. Graying hair and all !!!!
Thank you so much for this video! I started coloring my hair after I went natural and just recently my curl pattern just went limp and I hate it so I am thinking about growing my gray out and my gray looks just like yours right in the middle and specks throughout. So I’m going to try letting it grow out and see what happens. I’m 50 but people say I look like I’m in my 30’s but I’m still not ready for this. But thank you for sharing so at lest I no I’m not going through this alone
I stopped dying my hair this year and best decision ever! I'm here for it if u decide to keep it grey! (Or even if u don't!) it's been challenging to find channels with natural grey hair. So far, my greys have been manageable, I just have to be careful about the color of my hair products because they some can stain the hair. Good luck and keep us posted!
I've been wondering what to do with my hair since going grey after chemo and radiation treatments. I use semi-permanent color. I too have been wanting to just embrace my greys. I'm gonna give it try right along with you. Let's see how it goes...😊💜 tfs
My story is a tad personal but I didnt start going gray until after my dad was murdered. That situation also caused me to grow up. So I look at gray as either a sign of wisdom or stress lol but stress can also give birth to wisdom if you let it. My mom was in her late fifties when that happened so she had gray hair, but she said her hair completely turned white after that incident. I dont have a whole whole lot of gray and I'm 36 so I mean by now I think it's normal for it to be gray, but I will not color cause I feel like it's me and a reflection of my life experiences. Honestly everyone I knew had started turning gray in their early 20s... I think people gray earlier now and men's hair lines recede earlier too. I'm not sure why though.
I love it when you said, "stress can also give birth to wisdom if you let it". I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I believe that stress can play a part in the aging process and you are definitely not lying about that receding hair lines with men.
I've had a patch of grey hair near my nape since I was about 6. Now I have about triple that amount near the front, center, and edges of my hair. I'm trying to commit to not dying it but it's difficult. I'm only 35 and trying to accept it. #StillTryingToEmbraceMyGreys
I believe it's our own confidence level. You should do what you feel is best for you. God has for you what He has for you. If you decided to transition it would be wonderful and it really jas nothing to do with age its pigments in that hair shaft. 💖 It's gorgeous.
Soo glad to see this video. I'm 39 which is still young! lol I'm trying to embrace my gray. No support at all.... I've colored like you for fun for years but trying to keep the new halo covered is a challenge. yes grays are unruly, but Demi and rinses do not change the texture. I did a permanent color years ago and did not have a good experience. Men and women have both conditioned themselves to the gray hair stereotypes that gray=old, letting yourself go, etc. for women. I'm going to try and hang in there!
I understand your hesitancy but I commend you for attempting to embrace it. I'm also in my 30's, with significantly more grey than you, and I'm not at a point where I'm ready to rock it. Now I generally just LOVE the look and versatility of colored hair, but you're right... it's different when you HAVE to do it. Although I know my hair would be thicker without coloring, I just don't see myself committing to it until I'm 50+, retired, or felt God moved me to. Oh yeah... it is a totally different texture, wiry, dry, and stubborn to style. But you may find it easier to deal with during your "going grey" journey. Best wishes!
I’m 44 and I’m gray in the center and around my edges and back.. I’m so tired of coloring it every 3 weeks . I also started graying at age 21.. I’m about to let it go and just embrace it. My husband constantly me to let it go and that he didn’t marry me for the color of my hair. He married me because he loves all of me and that is all that matters.. I’m like Yes! Good luck with your journey.
I have super thick curly hair and had gray strands in high school. Over the past couple years I have had an increase in gray strands. several months ago I put henna color on and it did darken my hair and many of the gray strands but I am due for a repeat henna treatment. I do notice that the gray hairs have a different texture.
@@NaturallyMichy My main concern is the hairline. I may try quick fix applications. Nothing wrong with graying gracefully but I will welcome it 100% when I'm eligible for social security👵🏿
I'm the same age as you. I have the same dilemma. It's such a hassle to color ever few weeks. I decided to stop coloring too. Let's see if I stick to it.
I can relate to this so much! Yessss, they are stubborn little things my gosh! But overall ur hair is still gorgeous! To be honest sis, I really think that they are putting something in our food and water. Growing up, I don’t recall seeing women of color becoming grey headed, especially at a younger age, but that is another story! It’s all good tho! May The Most High God Bless U!!
Hello. I have chose to embrace my gray hair since it started coming in while in junior high school. I have more gray than my older siblings. I was about to dye my hair brown, then my son announced I was going to be a grandparent and I didn't want to look like I was having a mid life crisis due to his news. I found that I love my hair even the stubborn gray bits. I have a Rouge streak in my hair and it's beautiful. Do what's best for you and love your decision because it's yours hair and you have to live with it.
My hair is henna dyed. Everyone loves the color because it is orange and black with Auburn towards the back of my head. It's this color because the colored parts are white. I tell people that my hair is mostly white. They don't believe me because I have a youthful face. I wore out up to 3 inches of salt and pepper roots, and the stares! It was amazing to watch. Even young men were caught staring. When I recently colored my hair again, I discovered that I was getting USED to the white roots. My face was more distinctive with white hair. The color drowns out my features. Weird, right?
You are beautiful with or without the gray hair. Do what makes you happy. If you are not comfortable with gray hair, cover it up. I am much older than you and our gray is very similar. I am not ready to have gray hair so I color it.
I am 36yrs, I don't have as much grey hair as you do. I colored mine this year and I regret it. I like your video because of the questions you pose. Why am I coloring? Should I truly embrace me or societies expectations?
I've always loved my natural hair color. When the grays started to show out with a vengeance and people would stand over me just to comment on how old I'm getting, I started to color my hair regularly. I want to be able to embrace my hair along with the grays. I just don't want to be questioned over and over again concerning my age due to the gray hair.
I will be 42 this December. Like you, I love color, but don't want to feel dependent on it to be considered beautiful. I started asking the same questions I asked myself when I transitioned to natural. I don't want to be dependent on a chemical to be pretty. Coloring became a chore (every two weeks) and it wasn't as fun and cute as it used to be. I haven't dyed since early 2017/late 2016. In a youth obsessed society it has been a bit challenging; but I know a lot of people who dye their hair and still look their age. I have found some women on social who have embraced their gray hair and they still look youthful. I too worry about dating while gray and a host of other things...mainly tied to how others will view me and ultimately value or not value me based on this aspect of my appearance. Some days are more challenging than others, but I feel mostly comfortable with my decision. My mom was pretty much completely gray in her 40s, so I expect the same. Gray hairs can be snobbish! They refuse to lay down and join the others no matter how much gel I put on them. As they grow longer, they behave a tad better. :) My goal is healthy hair. I had a lot of hair fall out starting about about 3 years ago and I think that it was a combination of stress, a bad salon dye job, and possible thyroid issues. As my hair and body continue to heal most of the hair that has grown back has been gray, but I am thankful it is growing back. Best of luck as you journey through the rest of 2018 and decide what is best for you!
My grey is different in texture from my Black hair...I am not dying my own but it is a personal choice....and the questions and challenges are very real...I appreciate this conversation
I would love to dye my hair, but my hair just doesn't do well with it. So, I have to work with what I have. My hair was graying similarly to yours, mostly in the center. My hair is thinner and dryer in the top. However, I switched to a new hair care routine and it seems to be working. But guess what?!?! All of my new hair is coming in gray! The thinness is filling in but it's filling in gray, so I have a definite gray patch going on now. I've decided to go with it! I get lots of compliments and men are just as flirty as always, maybe more. Do whatever makes you feel good, just make sure you own it!
I saw my 1st gray hair when I was in middle school. I turned 40 this year and all of my gray is a patch right in the front of my head. I've tried to embrace it (last color Jan 2018) but I just don't like it and yes, my gray hairs are a more coarse texture than the rest of my hair. I think most of us have more than one texture in our heads and the front of my hair has always been mostly frizzy while I have coils and curls everywhere on my head, the grays just make some styles a little tricky. I just had a conversation with my daughter who is also my stylist about what color to try next. Good luck to you!
I'm 22 all I've had premature greying since high school. I have about 5 to 6 strands that are grey around the perimeter of my hair. They're more visible when my hair is in twists but it doesn't really bother me.
I also have grades all around the front of my hair and in the middle especially if I put my hair up in a ponytail you can really see it but oh well I don't care
I've been trying to adapt to the grey hair I have a lot of grey in the front and a little in the back, coloring only last a few weeks and the grey come back maybe I should stop coloring and embrace the grey it's gonna take me a little time to except it maybe I'll like it kudos to you for stopping coloring for the rest of the year
Your hair is beautiful and it's your crown. When I was growing up, I would always wonder why my grandmother dyed her hair until I was in my early twenties when she stopped doing it. She had a head full of beautiful silky silver natural hair. Unfortunately, my gray hair is not as silky as hers was. I notice mine is a little tighter than the rest of my curls and they are at my edges, more on the right than the left.
It's amazing how we can't manipulate where/how we want our grays to grow out. I suppose its what gives everyone their own individual footprint when it comes to their hair.
i feel u on that, i may dye mine again. its too much. Its funny we dye our grey hair and some are dying theirs grey. no its not the worst but the way it greys is awkward. tfs, cant wait to see what u decide.
I started graying when I was 21, I had 2 strands on the left side now mine is like yours except I also have more in that same spot on the left side. Sometimes I embrace them and then sometimes I change my mind then change my color.
I started seeing grey hairs in high school. It used to brother me since it’s right in the front. Now I colour if I’m in the mood and that’s maybe twice a year. And yes the grey hairs are coarser for me.
I'm 47, gray is coming in across my front line area. I also have a few strands in the crown, and yes their more unruly, lol. I want to color but front edges show root growth too fast and I dont want the need to color that often. It doesnt bother me much since I mostly where an afro or my headwraps, like in the thumbnail, but I hate it for protective styles where its more noticeable. I really want to where twists, maybe even loc up, but I dont want gray locs either. Chile I'm over it tho, done,😁🤣 every other day theres more of em, 😄!
Im having a takeover of gray hair especially in the front toward my left side. I was styling my hair a few days ago and i went to part a section and was like whoa what is going on in my life☺☺lol jk...getting gray hair at a early age runs in my family so i understand its not a stress related thing but apart of my genetics. I've noticed for my own hair that a lot of box dyes dont fully cover gray hair
No they don't always cover up the grays, although I've known Clairol's Texture and Tones products to do the BEST at 100% gray coverage. I haven't been disappointed with them yet.
I love my grey hair but, there is a stigma about them in reference to women. I have done color rinses to cover them but since transitioning to natural, no rinses or dyes (since 2012). My dating life includes both younger and older men. I am now 50 yrs old. Age 30 is when my grey hairs began to say hello. They stick out and say hi within every hairstyle. I keep aloe gel handy to quickly slick them down.
Do what works for you 😊! I'm 50+ and I'm still trying to decide if I want to stop dying my hair 😆! We all try so hard to look young and vibrant that it's hard to go with the grey. My grey hair is more wiry, less manageable, and seems to be low porosity, whereas the rest of my hair is normal porosity. Additionally, my grey strands in the crown area don't have much of a curl pattern, which makes a wash and go challenging. But hey, what's a natural hair journey without challenges?!? 😆🤣😂😭
I'm 50+, my daughter and granddaughter have more grey than I do. When I coloured my hair, it was never to cover grey. I love salt and pepper hair. With the styles you come up with. I can't imagine you looking older. Do what makes you happy. The only opinion that really counts in the end is yours.
You are correct the gray hair are more stubborn than the other textures of your hair they tend to fly away more than anything you could slick everything else down but that gray. I have been transitioning to gray ever since I was 19 and I am salt and pepper now and I am 38 it's a struggle! A good thing I married early but trying to find Styles and everything sucks if you are doing your natural hair the gray hair seems to be more fragile than the rest. If you can come up with some cute hairstyles while you are transitioning to gray I would love to see the videos .
I'm in my 50's and I still dye my hair. I'm no where near ready to embrace my grey hair. My grey hair is very sporadic throughout my hair which drives me crazy. Kudos to you for going dye free for a year.
Your grey is exactly where mine is!..I color mine black 2 but I haven't in a while so I guess we can somewhat transition together. I just get tired of coloring sometimes😟..u are very beautiful so the grey really doesn't matter 💞
Let the gray hair grow in and see how you like it. If you don't like the way it looks, or if the gray hair is working against you in the relationship (or any) department, you can always dye it again. Personally, and of course I am biased (I'm older and deep into my gray transition), I think it may look beautiful. Check out "Gorgeous in Grey" (Ty Alexander), jjMua Artistry (you may want to add in the words "gray hair" when searching for this particular vlogger), and there's also Rhiannon G. These ladies look beautiful. I do know there are a lot more women in your age group on Instagram. "Greybaelyfe" showcases men and women who are proudly, and fiercely, rocking their gray. Just thought I would share.
Thank you for sharing!!! This is very helpful and I'm sure will help many. I'm going to let my grey hair grow out for the remainder of this year, but I am leaning towards giving it a shot.
I love gray hair. I understand at your age feeling that it might age you. I’m 38 and I have no grays but I’m looking forward to it. I think the more women embrace it then we can change what people think about it.
I'm in my late 40s and I'm starting to get tired of my greys. I basically grey at the roots and mine is mostly concentrated in the center of my head. It's been a gradual process that started in my mid 30s. I'm thinking about dying my hair for my 50s. Has nothing to do w/others...actually it does. I saw a woman who appeared to be about my age with these black 4c twists--no extensions and it has me thinking about returning to all dark hair just for a little while since it's been 15 years...
I am in my late 40's. I have more gray hair in the front than the back. It's not alot, but it's enough to make me use henna every 7 to 8 weeks to color them a reddish bronze color.
Yes my gray hairs are extremely stubborn and stand out so bad I think it's because I use to pluck them I hear that when it grows back in depending on how you removed them can alter the way it grows 🤷🏿♀️ not sure lol
Your gray hair pattern is very interesting. I'm 38 and I'm starting to see gray strands pop up here and there and I am NOT ready LOL. My daughter laughs at me because I hunt them and pull out each and every one. Maybe next year I'll try to embrace them!
Girl, I had a friend who stood over me one day while I was at my desk and in mid conversation without knowing he pulled a gray hair out of my head. It was so painful that I almost threatened his life if he tried that again lol. They don't hurt when you pull them?
Oh no he didn't! No, mine don't hurt when I pull them - I try to catch them at the root too. I don't have many, but I'm sure if I keep pulling, they'll grow even more :(
Either that or you're hair will start thinning in those areas (this isn't a fact). I grew up hearing that too! The more you pull, the faster they grow in.
It a different set of rules when it comes to the sexes. Men find women desirable and they are visual. I'm past 60 and most of gray hair is around the edges. Because most of your gray is in the middle, you can move your part to a different area and you 'll be good to go. I'm seriously considering transitioning as well.
Yes, the gray hair is a lot more stubborn. I am in my late forties, I am still not ready for the gray! I have been using garlic and onion juice on my hair to help with the gray. The sistah who has the green beauty Channel on yt did a series of videos on this. You should check it out.
@@NaturallyMichy ua-cam.com/video/B4T-Pwfnt38/v-deo.html Here's the link to the video she did. She can explain it much better than I can. Hope it helps.
I love and respect you for all the wonderful work you put in your channel. You are beautiful and will be beautiful with gray hair. However, gray hair does make people appear older than they really are. I think you can have a young face but people will usually guess your age by your hair color and the style.
I have had gray hair since I was eight years old. I am now 46 and although I have more gray hair, I just always embraced it as this is the way God wanted me to look. I know that everyone does not see things the way that I do, but I think as long as you are at peace you will be just fine! When I was interested in grabbing a male’s attention, my gray hair was never an issue regardless of my age. For the record, I say “ when I was interested”, only because now I am enjoying being left alone.😉
hum for it just confidence you need noting else if you feel greatt with it do it . is jus t a choice confidence is key me i love grey hair so what ever
I think grey hair is beautiful! I'm over 40 & wish my hair would grey evenly all over or even in one significant patch. I only sprout a single grey strand in each quadrant of my head (one over each ear, one in my widow's peak & one at the back of my head. 😑
That's interesting. I've always wanted the one patch like a skunk's stripe, although now I'm not quite sure how my hair is going to grow out until I fully embrace it.
I am between 60 and 70 years old. I put a semi rinse in my hair twice a year. Sometimes once a year. When the greys shows I used roux tween time instant root concealer it looks lk lipstick from Sallys. I wear my hair as an afro. I do not mind the grey shows in the back of my hair. I am not ready for grey hair. My mom had grey hair. It did not lk good at all. Maybe one day but I am not ready for that grey hair
I can imagine how your hair would look full grey it would be beautiful but I totally understand how you feel about looking older than you would like. My sister greyed prematurely my bff did in high school..Im in my 40's and I am just now seeing 1 or 2 here and there but the funny part is my grandmother had no greys and she didn't dye her hair until the day she died...I thought I was taking after her but I guess not LMAO
That's so true! I remember finding gray in middle school! It wasn't too bad and I could just tweeze it out. But I'll be 30 in December and they are here to stay! Mine are also in the front of my hair. Thinking of coloring my hair but the commitment to maintain color? Not sure if it'll be worth it in the end. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 😩
Millicent Swift I think you should do what's best for you, simply because you're with yourself at all times. Our happiness is built on how we honestly feel about ourselves. I'm not ready for my gray either. Because I have a lot of hair, I dye it occasionally when I feel up to it. When I had a brush cut I dyed it all the time because it was much easier... however, I dye it based on how I think it looks on me, and not what others think.... hope this was helpful love... whatever choice you make, you are beautiful....
I think I see your dilemma, your grays have not grown to the length of the rest of your hair yet. But once it grows on in you may be able to accept it better. I think you look as beautiful as you always have and the gray won't change that. Besides you got young women going to the salon getting their hair dyed gray now. Nor do I think going gray will deter any man from wanting to date you. You have natural hair and you can still make it look just as funky and fly as you want. So if he's mature he'll be looking at not just the outside but more importantly what's on the inside, your heart, personality, goals ect.... Now as for me I'm going to be honest, I'm kinda not ready yet. But I think it's because I look younger than I am(just turned 48😜) and I have strands coming in on the sides. Now don't yall judge me but since it's only a few strands on each side(about 2-3, for now) then I cut them as close to the scalp as I can. Just until enough grow in to look like streaks. But I'll accept it when it comes just as my husband has, AND HE HAS A LOOOOOT OF GRAY!!!😂😂😂
Girl you had me until I got to the second paragraph! LMBO!!!! No judgment here! Everyone's journey and experiences are different :) Thank you for sharing as always!
It's because women are usually attracted to older men. You're young, do what feels right for you. I feel young inside so I want my outside to reflect that as much as possible.

You're absolutely right!
Embrace those gray hairs!😍I’ve been getting more and more each year and I’m 29. I actually love my grays that I am getting. It’s just wisdom flourishing through that’s all 🙂

That's good to know about products that can possibly stain the hair! Thank you for the support! I may be coming to you for some advice :)
Grey hairs are stubborn little things. The greys that I have like to stick out above the rest of the hair to just kind of wave to the world.
Mine too! They don't want to stay in lined with the rest of my hair whenever I do a flat twist!
LOL! And I thought my black 4c hair fought back!
White hair is deceptive. They are super straight but make hella fairy knots if you ain't careful, and break for no reason.
I've been wondering what to do with my hair since going grey after chemo and radiation treatments. I use semi-permanent color. I too have been wanting to just embrace my greys. I'm gonna give it try right along with you. Let's see how it goes...😊💜 tfs
Yeeeeeaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh!!!! Let's support each other because there will be days when we'll both need it!
I'm completely understand your struggle Jonna! Thank you for sharing :)
I believe it's our own confidence level. You should do what you feel is best for you. God has for you what He has for you. If you decided to transition it would be wonderful and it really jas nothing to do with age its pigments in that hair shaft. 💖
It's gorgeous.
You're absolutely right!
@@NaturallyMichy whatever you decided to go with you will wear it well, and make it look great, I'll be watching. 👏
It will be beautiful!!
Thank you!!!
Soo glad to see this video. I'm 39 which is still young! lol
I'm trying to embrace my gray.
If I can do it, so can you! We can do it together :)
Thank you!
Thank you Beautiful!!! I completely understand not being ready to rock the grays just yet. Do whatever makes you happy in the end :)
I have the same graying@ 46. I tried henna/indigo for the first time - it's messy but I have to use it up. Heavy moisture needed with henna.
I've never tried henna before actually.
@@NaturallyMichy My main concern is the hairline. I may try quick fix applications. Nothing wrong with graying gracefully but I will welcome it 100% when I'm eligible for social security👵🏿
Queen, be who you are.
Thank you :)
I'm the same age as you. I have the same dilemma. It's such a hassle to color ever few weeks. I decided to stop coloring too. Let's see if I stick to it.
Let's do it together! We both could use the support :)
It looks good on you.
Thank you Latrice :)
Thank you Love for sharing!!!!! God bless you!
I love my Gray. I have been Gray since the age of Sixteen. I have learned to love it.
Hahaha @ "mid life crisis". Thank you so much for sharing Shanna! I couldn't had said it any better :)
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!!!!
Thank you!!!
You're beautiful and your grey hair is beautiful my husband started greying from about 7-8 years old and I loving Samantha video on her grey hair
Thank you Shakina! Does your husband color his hair ( because I know quite a few men who do it) or has he fully embraced his gray hair?
My goal is healthy hair.
Thank you for sharing your story! I greatly appreciate it :)
My grey is different in texture from my Black hair...I am not dying my own but it is a personal choice....and the questions and challenges are very real...I appreciate this conversation
Thank you Love :)
Thank you for sharing your story! 🙂🤗
Hi grey don't make you look old . I think it's the type of hairstyles that women wear that don't look good on them.
Thank you Love! The same to you :)
I'm 22 all I've had premature greying since high school. I have about 5 to 6 strands that are grey around the perimeter of my hair. They're more visible when my hair is in twists but it doesn't really bother me.
That's awesome that it doesn't bother you! Keep embracing who you are! :)
Your hair is beautiful love and will always be
Thank you so much Beautiful!!! :)
I'm grayng in the same places! My gray is more...wiry, than the rest of my hair. I love it! I earned every last one of them! Lol It looks great on you
Thank you Lavinia!!! Mine seem wiry too!
I also have grades all around the front of my hair and in the middle especially if I put my hair up in a ponytail you can really see it but oh well I don't care
I've been trying to adapt to the grey hair I have a lot of grey in the front and a little in the back, coloring only last a few weeks and the grey come back maybe I should stop coloring and embrace the grey it's gonna take me a little time to except it maybe I'll like it kudos to you for stopping coloring for the rest of the year
Thank you! I'm going to try to embrace it, perhaps you can try it out as well :)
That is quite ironic isn't it. Thank you for sharing!
Do what makes you feel happy. I color my hair whenever I'm in the mood.
Thank you for sharing!!!!
I started graying when I was 21, I had 2 strands on the left side now mine is like yours except I also have more in that same spot on the left side. Sometimes I embrace them and then sometimes I change my mind then change my color.
That's understandable :)
I started seeing grey hairs in high school. It used to brother me since it’s right in the front. Now I colour if I’m in the mood and that’s maybe twice a year. And yes the grey hairs are coarser for me.
Thank you for sharing Latoya! xoxo
Ha!!! Understandable. :)
Thank you for sharing Davina! It's encouraging to know that the grays shouldn't effect my dating life.
Absolutely! There will always be challenges in the mix! They are there to help us grow.
Thank you Lyntrice!
You only old if your face look it stop ur crying
Oh wauw!!! Beautiful 💕💕 I love it!
Thank you!!!
Thank you for sharing Olivia! We'll see what I can come up with :)
I'm in my 50's and I still dye my hair. I'm no where near ready to embrace my grey hair. My grey hair is very sporadic throughout my hair which drives me crazy. Kudos to you for going dye free for a year.
That's understandable and thank you!
Your grey is exactly where mine is!..I color mine black 2 but I haven't in a while so I guess we can somewhat transition together. I just get tired of coloring sometimes😟..u are very beautiful so the grey really doesn't matter 💞
Awww thank you :) Yes, we can do this together! Let's give our wallets a break!
Silver or black, you're still beautiful
💜💜💜💜💜
I believe that also! Thank you for sharing Beth. :)
That's understandable. Do whatever makes you happy in the end :)
I am in my late 40's. I have more gray hair in the front than the back. It's not alot, but it's enough to make me use henna every 7 to 8 weeks to color them a reddish bronze color.
Understandable. I'm just tired of dying my hair so often just to cover the grays.
Yes my gray hairs are extremely stubborn and stand out so bad I think it's because I use to pluck them I hear that when it grows back in depending on how you removed them can alter the way it grows 🤷🏿♀️ not sure lol
It sounds interesting... My grays are more wiry and they don't like to stay contained even with gel. :)
If it'll make you happy in the end and cause you less stress from having to keep it up, then do it! :)
I totally understand what your going through. I’m 44 and I’m not ready to embrace my Gray lol
THANK YOU!!! Lol
Yes, the gray hair is a lot more stubborn. I am in my late forties, I am still not ready for the gray! I have been using garlic and onion juice on my hair to help with the gray. The sistah who has the green beauty Channel on yt did a series of videos on this. You should check it out.
Interesting.... What are the benefits of using garlic and onion juice on gray hair?
@@NaturallyMichy ua-cam.com/video/B4T-Pwfnt38/v-deo.html Here's the link to the video she did. She can explain it much better than I can. Hope it helps.
Thanks!
I have never colored my hair. I have a few grays in the front and have just accepted it.....does cutting it out counts? Your hair is gorgeous.
Girl I grew up hearing the saying "If you pluck one, another one will grow". I have a gold mine now :)
I love and respect you for all the wonderful work you put in your channel. You are beautiful and will be beautiful with gray hair. However, gray hair does make people appear older than they really are. I think you can have a young face but people will usually guess your age by your hair color and the style.
I completely agree with you Nerissa. :)
That's understandable! Keep doing your thang sis!
Girrrl YES! 👀 gray hairs have a mind of their own...Lol ~ I say " just do you" beautiful...
Thanks Love!
Hello, You have beautiful hair with or without color.😀
Thank you Dee :) xoxo
hum for it just confidence you need noting else if you feel greatt with it do it . is jus t a choice confidence is key me i love grey hair so what ever
Gotcha! Confidence it key :)
Another reason to go natural and see our real hair....I'm starting to gray too.
Yep! :)
I can’t relate but over all your hair is still beautiful 💜
Thank you!!!
❤❤
Great video!! I have just celebrated my 1 year anniversary and i also posted a video!!!
Awesome!
Gray isn't a sign to say we're old it's also apart of nature
My gray hair is just disrespectful! It's sticks out of my flat twists and cornrows....it just does what it wants to do...
Mines do the exact same :)
Understandable. Thank you for sharing! :)
Hey, you're still in good shape with only 1 or 2 grays to show it! :) You're grandmother had it good!
It does get tiresome after coloring for so long, but I'm excited about saving some money and taking a break from the coloring.
Absolutely, gray is much more stubborn...
Thank you for agreeing!
Thank you Tara! It was helpful :)
Millicent Swift My pleasure love...
I'm 68 and still dying mine. You look young and I thought gray hair was in. The gray is wiry.
Thanks for sharing :)
My grey hair is all of my edges. I don’t like it. I don’t care about the grey throughout my head but I don’t like the way it looks around my edges.
That could be a signature look :)
Men color their hair as well....there's definitely a double standard and I particularly don't like grey hair but many men could care less. Do you!!!!!
Hey Buddy! I may look more youthful with the grays than I did with the perm in high school! :)
😐
It's because women are usually attracted to older men. You're young, do what feels right for you. I feel young inside so I want my outside to reflect that as much as possible.
