I was in Killarney on my 25 wedding anniversary. We lived in Malahide in Dublin at the time. Our residence is Perth Australia ,but we used to go to Dublin every so often. My husband of 56 years past away last week and I mised him terrible. BUT I must share one very emotional thing that happen when we where there. In Malahide where our house is ,Two donkey's live their names where Salt and Peppar, due to ther color. We whent home for a few years and we never thouhgt no moore. We came back to Dublin to the family house ,and having a walk in Malahide we sow the donkey's running to us. Thy reconaigsed me.I could not hold my tears.( What a memory this animals had ?) The are sure gone ,but I will always think of them.Pilar Delney.😥😍😍
Killarney was my favorite town in all of Ireland. I simply loved it. Our tour guide compared it to Las Vegas by saying, "What happens in Killarney, stays in Killarney."
In my state of Michigan no more than 45 minutes out is a lake called Killarney Lake, and is located in Irish Hills. If you're Irish you would be most welcomed in that area of the state, and enjoy some traditional Irish brew. Ireland is on my bucket list to visit someday. Will definitely visit this town.
The wife and I were in Ireland this past June. Drove on the wrong side of the road for 9 days. 😂This is a beautiful country with even more beautiful people. We loved our time there and hope to return someday. We were there celebrating our 50th anniversary. Love Ireland, love the Irish people, you are so blessed.
Been there in 2002 on tour bus. Started in Dublin, followed the coast south, and up the other side. Then cross country from Bundoran, through Enniskillan, Kells, and New Grange, back to Dublin. Had a good trip, my only trip out of US.
Visited Ireland last year, walking the kerry way for 2 weeks and stayed some days in Killarney. I really fell in love with this town and the whole country. ♥
From an Irish point of view, in fact I'm from Dublin it was great to hear your informative view and not be patronising like so many who are ignorant or don't understand. Kerry to me is the most beautiful place on earth & I'm a Dub as ive said but Kerry and Ireland as a whole have so many gems to offer natives and tourists alike. Btw I'm not involved in tourism or any company/government but so proud of our beautiful country and what it offers
whats left of our country. They build house's everywhere. Selling off our resources, Our Gaeltacht in Waterford is destroyed, it was once a lovely Irish speaking village now its just full of houses and none Irish speakers. ( dont have a problem with none Irish speakers) but I do believe for a Gaeltacht to keep its status it needs to have Irish native speakers.
Wow what a compliment coming from Florence, I'm from Ireland and Italy is stunning, the history, scenery the food are all only bettered by one thing THE ITALIAN PEOPLE!!
I have been just about all over the world and nowhere compares to my holiday there... There's something magical about it... Great video, thanks so much for sharing 💚
Loved your video! We just returned from the Killarney area. Loved every minute of it. Wish we had more time to explore. Had a great time photographing the beautiful scenery of the place.
My husband and I just got back to the US from a 12 day stay in Ireland for our 30 th anniversary. I think Killarney and Dingle were my 2 most favorite places. Thanks for the video!!
My wife and I had our honeymoon in Ireland in 2005. We stayed a couple of days in Killarney. Enjoyed it immensely and it was a challenge driving on the wrong side of the road. This video brought back memories of our trip.
Westport County Mayo pretty town and a great base for hill walking, island hopping, mountain climbing, fishing trips, great western greenway (45k cycleway), horse riding on the beach, exploring castles stately homes, numerous restaurants etc
Beautiful sights. I‘ve been through Kilarney the first time I‘ve been to Ireland and plan to spend one of my next vacations to be a road trip in Connacht. Thanks for the inspirations.
Ireland - second best country on earth, close behind Australia ( we’re aussies!). Spent six weeks driving around Ireland and loved every moment. We had time to get off the beaten track and visit the Ireland most people miss. We were there in December/January and loved it. No tourists, so we got to see the real thing. Snowed while in Killarney, magic ! Great video
Would love to visit this country I would like to visit Dublin or Belfast but I really want to go to Derry heard it's nice place to visit and go and see the giant causeway
If you're interested in scenery, Kerry is the best county for that followed by Mayo. There are picturesque places dotted around the country though, like Slieve League on the south coast of Donegal
Thank you very much denniscallan for show us the best and nicest Town in Ireland I live 20 min from Killarney away , inch beach is right in front of us here ( you can go with your car on inch beach , visit the little shop there , they are very friendly .
Been several times to Killarney every other building is a pub even pubs next to pubs we drove over the Conner pass to Dingle the countryside and people are wonderful... Shame about the rain though it would have been perfect
Went to Ireland and Killarney a few weeks ago. You don't want to go by bus. Windows are closed and you're at the mercy of the driver. Go by car and you can stop when you want, breathe the fresh air and stay as long as you want at these stops.
You wouldn't think there's much difference between here and Essex in terms of climate but there is. I knew people from Cork who moved to Colchester and they were amazed that at what people were able to grow in their gardens. Stuff like grapes and peaches.
When I think of Killarney I think of Michael Fassbender ... too bad he wasn't shown strolling in the town to what used to be his parents' restaurant but he's living in Portugal now.
One of my favorite book, is 20 years a growing. Have IRISH NATIONALITY .for 56 years nowI married a DUBLINER. And I become irish. My house is in Quensland , but I livex in Dublin for a few years, and still go every time I can go to my family in diferent parts of Europe.Pilar
@06:38, for a (cumulative) period just shy of two years, concluding in 1986, I spent many-a-night at "The Laurels", and lived at "The Great Southern Railway Hotel". Ireland's finest breakfast is served in their main dining room. Yeah, it's a tourist hotspot, but a visit to Ireland without visiting Killarney - really isn't a visit to Ireland. (visit Cork, too!)
I really wanna go to Killarney. My ex boyfriend and his older grew up and lived in Killarney all their lives. They always talked about the beauty of Killarney and Ireland in general. I really wanna go and lay flowers on their graves and say goodbye to them and have a drink in their honor.
Thats fantastic about the fishing laws it would be a dream come true for me to go fishing for trout in ireland..here in Tennessee and everywhere else in the united states that i know of at least but in Tennessee you have to not only have a liscence to fish you have to pay for a Trout stamp but large or small mouth bass you dont.. you can hunt anything with a hunting liscence but for mallards you have to buy a duck stamp

Love that area. Almost moved there a few years ago.
One of the best videos I've seen on Killarney and the ride from Dingle. I know - I live there.
Thank you Bleep. coming from local means a lot to me.
This looks lovely, I never knew Killarney was such a big town. Glad to see tourists enjoy our country of Ireland!

I think your country is indeed "God's Country". I think County Kerry and Killarney were beautiful.
