Congrats!
Excellent demo!! It's always a nice surprise to see a brand new demo popping up with new effects.Hope you surprise us with more in the future. Friendly regards, VampierMSX (openMSX team) ps sorry for messing up the aspect ratio on the video I posted ... that's a setting on my end in openMSX that wasn't set correctly to record with the right aspect ratio.
UA-cam and emulators don't do justice to the effects at all. If you haven't seen it run smoothly, you haven't really seen it at all. You need to watch it in an actual 50 Hz television, preferably a CRT, but a flatscreen will do, as long as it's really 50 Hz.
Actually it was captured from a MSX2 emulator (or recorded live on a MSX2: ua-cam.com/video/2eWr-g5MP7U/v-deo.html ). That said, I can confirm: only MSX1 features are used; during early tests, it ran fine on various MSX1: - Canon V20 (MSX1) - Philips VG8020 (MSX1) - Yeno MX-64 (MSX1) - Yashica YC-64 (MSX1) - Sony HB501F (MSX1) - Goldstar FC-200 (MSX1) (w/ bad sync at start) - Sanyo PHC-28L (MSX1) (w/ glitch on plasma)
I don't see any signs of an MSX2. Can you name a time stamp and the feature which looks like MSX2 to you? What exactly do you see that requires an MSX2?
Superbe demos ...
God Bless LOGON SYSTEM
How much of this could be done on the MSX's cousin, the ColecoVision?
¡Fantástico!

Nice demo. Logon System on MSX! Transitions are cool. Music is great. Keep up the good work, Overflow & Factor6!
Impressive! That was neat!
That was freaking amazing, congrats!
Great demo, congratulations!
Wonderful!! What a programming skills.
Would have shit my pants if this would have come out in 1985
I concur. Would have been nice to show to my smug c64 buddies.
1:30 yeah porting code to those Japanese handhelds
"I need moar fuckin io!"
Really fine... Overflow's rulez only.

only compile and the community can make msx scrolling much better
Viva el rollo old school :)
¿Con una TFT? ¿Rollo old school?

Impressed.
Excelente.
wow, can I have the file?
Looks like MSX2

Bien joué, c'est magnifique.
Fantastic demo, well done! Now get your ass back to the CPC!!! :p :p
Thanks! Actually I'm back. Expect a CPC release at Easter 2017. :)
Nah, get your ass on MSX2 next! :)
@Manuel: I'm afraid that next release (in November this year) is on Amstrad GX4000. :P
OK, very interested to see that. And after that: MSX2!?
