Don't want hate on my comment but, I like Jules but she's like a drug to rue an obsession. Her obsession over Jules is toxic it's like the drugs she has taken are warping with how Jules actually acts like and who she is. Honestly, the cold hard truth is that Lexi is a better friend or even ship she knew her before her drug overdose and when she started to experiment with drugs and was her help along the way whilst she had been through shit she protects her Jules uses Rue like some sort branding to gain attention and get other men she doesn't like rue she uses her as an accessory. I just hope rue realizes that in season 2 I think Jules is better of as a friend than 'girlfriend' and Jules even shows and speaks quite openly to Rue saying how sexually attracted to men she is I think Rue is the side piece for Jules help to get her men and that is sad, I just hope rue understands she needs to stop this unhealthy obsession with someone that is using her to get other guys, Whereas Lexi she actually shows affection and cares for rue and doesn't throw her to the side I've never seen Jules hug rue affectionately yet she says I want you to kiss me it doesn't seem right. Lexi is the best friend Rue can have She actually takes time to support her and becomes ver concerned on most episodes. I don't know if anyone remembers this scene but Rue called herself a burden outside of the party and left for 'fresh air' she started ranted to Lexi how much of a burden and a waste of space she is to people and Lexi gives her this HUGE ASS HUG and shows she cares that is what rue needs someone like Lexi. (Theory time) I think Rue is in some warp, so just to trim it down a bit she sees Jules differently and She treats her differently It's like the drugs are messing with her head and warping her brain when the signals are telling her, OH SHE IS DIFFERENT but when in reality she is a user? It's just a theory my friend made :)
