Here's a suggestion, Hoboken should build a walking bridge by the waterfront for people who ride bikes, skateboard, skates, roller blades, or people who love to walk. Because by the looks of it, it would only take 25 minutes to walk to Manhattan. By building the bridge, it would be a great way for tourist to visit both locations.
Dj Hurie they need to keep the Hudson bridge free for emergencies like landing a plane I'd assume
44,537,955 views there isn’t a walking bridges on the Hudson. You have the Holland Tunnel, the Lincoln Tunnel, And George Washington Bridge, but only caters to vehicles. As far as helicopters and planes they already have an emergency landing area for that location. Hudson Walking Bridge has a nice ring to it, sounds nice & pretty much needed, to raise awareness on health and exercise. As you can see I’ve already named the bridges lol!
I understand but, I am saying they keep the Hudson river (South of the
GWB) free of bridges (or "bridge-free") for a reason...adding a walking bridge probably
would violate NYC construction codes as the river should be kept free
for things like emergency landings like I said previously...there most
likely is a reason (besides the great width of the Hudson) as to why
they built tunnels rather than bridges for vehicles to cross
Actually the Hudson being free has nothing to do with emergency landings and everything to with that area still being and active port in which large ocean liner still use.
Were you smoking crack when you posted this?
I never thought Hoboken was so nice! New Jersey seems to get a bad rap in New York. Thanks NY Times.
I love Hoboken. I moved out of manhattan and lived a better life in Hoboken. Not cheap to live there but you get more bang for your buck!
From Buffalo NY, was astounded at how amazing it was when I visited. The walking experience is amazing, you never need to stop moving, its very pedestrian friendly. Not to mention the waterfront, they literally have a playground OVER the water, as well as a huge park to walk over it. Some of the best views I've seen of NYC (I've been there multiple times) are from Hoboken
Love this… I live in Newport Jersey city. Just like a mile below. And it’s awesome. It’s the new New York. Love this place.
lived here after college with my best friend. they called us yuppies back then. God, those were good years.
HOBOKEN!? OOOOH, I'M DYING AGAIN!!!
Bugs Bunny !!!!!!
I really wish they preserved the factories because I think that’s really cool. Really the only thing left are the train tracks on the old loading docks by pier 13.
Hoboken, NJ has the largest real estate of all time with transportations that are different including the NJ Transit comparing with MTA New York City Transit.
Nj transit is the way to go I’m from nyc the mta are the biggest crooks on earth
@@ryandarko2115 Why did you say that the MTA (Metropolitan Transportation Authority) the biggest crooks on Earth? 🤔😑
How long do the buses run there you know like the hours and do it run on holidays
@@dontneednomanstoptelllingm8481 I don’t know but I don’t take the NJ transit because I don’t live in New Jersey. 😳
There once was an episode of the Penguins of Madagascar that took place here?
strongly miss this place:)
1400 for a 1br? Try 2000+ for a studio
It's so expensive over there. Who can pay these rental prices?
Wooden Shoe1954 Compared to New York prices, I’m pretty sure it’s heaven.
The people who make a lot of money that live there... a lot of tech, finance, post grad doctors, entrepreneurs.. & of course those who split rent.
@@miquelmontgomery2542 nope not true at all. Hoboken prices are actually somewhat similar to Manhattan
@@lorinsarer2817 I’m just going off of what I’ve seen. Everyone’s opinions are different
rent in dallas for 1 bd is $650-700 for a decent place ....i cant believe the prices in N.Y.C and surrounding areas and the west coast. yikes. in texas u can own a 4bd houses for less than $1200- 1500 a month. crazy

k. rich Not everyone believes bigger is better.
DoggosarenotPuppers haha okay if you think so
But it is SWestern? almost everybody in Texas have an active relative in Mexico? Yorkers have relationship with Canada and Europe?

1:08 as seen on DDD (DINERS, DRIVE-INS & DIVES), an Emmy-nominated Food Network original
0:23 home of CAKE BOSS, a TLC original currently aired on Discovery Family
Yes, saw both episodes - you have great memory !
My parents were superintendents of 2 5-story, 10 apartment buildings on 10th & Willow. Rent was $55/month in 1967 for a 5-room, "railroad" style apartment. Kitchen in the back & master in the front. 8-)
How can a teacher afford $2000 a month rent?
Michel Schweinsberg 13$ minimum wage
Teachers make over 60k in New York and only work about 200 days
Salaries for full time teachers are pretty good in new jersey amd new york however substitute and adjunct teachers have it pretty bad.
You can take part time tutoring or teach in summer if you wanted.
Bring-on the #7 IRT!
Born and raised there nothing left of original Hoboken but too many homeless, too many people, no parking everything way overpriced
Congrats being mentioned on fairly oddparents
i just watched a playlist of 10 of these, of 10 different neighborhoods, wow great stuff!
Now I can see why the Aliens wanted to banish the super hot giant alien here.
Hoboken is a real cooooool!!!
AWESOME
1:51 what's the name of this field?
Sinatra Field :)
Annette, girl, how much did the NYT pay you to say that Hoboken is diverse?! Bc it is certainly not.
Madelyn Perez always a hater somewhere. Maybe diverse to her isn't the same as diverse to you?
Rumour has it that this city is named after Ryu's hadouken.
Niall Yuxin Xie ...Or a Native American word for a kind of pipe of theirs...
COOL
Laughing with the woman saying there's diversity in Hoboken when I just see White people in there
I thought you wre talking about my hometown hoboken in belgium XD
The American Hoboken is named after the Belgian one
HOBOKEN SHOULD PUT UP A STATUE OF THE MAN THAT SAVED THE CITY MAYOR STEVE CAPPIELLO!
Ohh you mean by being tone deaf with the arson that went on? Shut up
@@micvic83 WithoutSteve Cappiello you would be living in a sewer, he saved that city!
How many people fled to Hoboken from Manhattan after 9/11 ?
The only people who live in Hoboken are either homeless or snobs and a slim slice of in between..
I was born here. I used to miss it but now I would rather live in the southern country land
As someone who lives there I find it very offensive. Not everyone who lives in Hoboken is a “slob”.
@@bribronze5361
Uh, Bri.
He said snob. Not slob.
Watching in 2023, those prices are laughable now
All this town really needs is a premier live music venue that attracts National and international acts! Oh wait that was Maxwell's... Who or what killed Maxwell's?
High taxes galore, no thanks.... we escaped in 2008, and glad we did...
real question,,,,,Yankee or Mets fans?
LETS GO METS!
You forgot to mention The rudeness of its people..
Cristino you sound rude
Cristino - *what's your problem??*
That's everywhere in the New York area. Really, the Northeast in general. One of many reasons why the Sun Belt is growing and the Northeast (and Midwest) is stagnating and in many places, dying.
You mean the entitlement
Rude how?

Isn't crime, especially rape, very common in this place?
I think you're thinking about Camden.
El Debtor Nah you're thinking of Camden. Hobken is a safe town other than a couple homeless dudes sleeping at the bus station or on the steps of a club after they close
Lol Hoboken ??? Where rich people live ??
Don't take the bait from this troll....
What they aren't telling you is that Hoboken is segregated, and if you aren't a bar fly you will be bored to tears in Hoboken. Watch where you walk on Sunday morning or you'll step in vomit.
I was born there. I prefer living in the southland
Ugh. Zimmer...
Another over taxed, over priced and over rated place in the Tri state area.
