Very cool video with some great picks. Fire Emblem Three Houses is my favorite RPG on the Switch hands down. I'm still trying to finish it by the end of the year. Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch is a game that you know is going to be epic from the beginning with the music that plays at the main menu screen. Same with Dragon Quest XI. I have both on PC. At some point, I do want to try Xenoblade Chronicles, Atelier Ryza 2, and Oninaki at some point. Appreciate you taking the time to upload this.

I think Ys VIII Lacrimosa of Dana is AMAZING. I haven't checked out IX yet, I heard the world is less interesting, but will probably check out dragon quest and ni no kuni before I look more into Ys IX. Great video!
I don't know if you've played ys IX yet, but if you can, play it anywhere that's not the switch. The game is great, but on switch it gets into the single digit fps during battle. Almost unplayable at times. But, again it's an amazing game.
All of the atelier games are at least 25% off in the US switch eshop and they're on sale for ps4 too, I've heard. I got lulua, the arland, and dusk trilogies to complete my switch atelier collection. The only one I didn't like when I rented it for ps3 was Nelke so I don't plan to get that unless I'm bored and it drops below $10, lol.
Switch has so many great RPG's now, that no list of 10 can be 'complete'. There's Dragon's Dogma, Tokyo Mirrage Sessions, Viktor Vran, Labyrinth of Refrain,... I could go on for a while still, and not even touch on the obvious ones everyone has played or at least knows about.
I'd recommend The Witcher 3. It's not usually on these lists, probably because it's a late port, and i guess it's quite expensive on Switch and dirt cheap on other platforms. Nevertheless, despite some graphical downgrade, it plays great on the Switch.
The Witcher 3 is by far way superior to play on PC for the best immersion and graphics, so it's unfortunately not a game I would promote to play on the Switch necessarily. 😉
Oninaki and Xenoblade chronicles have been on my wishlist for a while now, still waiting for a sale tho. Was hoping they would be in the blockbuster sale now but sadly they aren't. Also got ni no kuni and love it but having trouble with the fighting system.

Erick's channel is great!! Just to wanted to say that DQ11 is a must-play, b/c it has lots of post-game (after the credits roll) content, incl. a long story arc (actually the "main" part is only 1/3rd or 1/4th of the entire story -- I haven't completed all of the game yet, but my older brother did, he went for 100%). -- Oh and FETH loses a bit of steam mid-game, I just can't bring myself to continue playing (grinding isn't really possible with the scripted story, so you have to think very carefully about what you do on each day). I'd rather recommend the Trails of Cold Steel series (not a strategy game but still very good). -- I also tried XCDE, but I couldn't get used to the battle system (have to try again someday). -- I can recommend all of the Atelier series, the newer ones are action-based, the older ones turn-based. But TBH, all of these games I mentioned are mainly suitable for people with lots of spare time. The further you stay away from these games, the quicker you unlearn the mechanics, and why you did something.

I’m so late to the DQXI party BUT i got it for Christmas and it’s ready and waiting now!
So many games… not enough time to play! Help me narrow down to top 3 RPGs?
Atelier games are amazing, have them all. Few older ones I still need to play. Didn’t like Three Houses, toooo much running around trying to make people happy.
Watching before the Nintendo direct
fun video collab, I've been a subscriber to erick for a good while. How he manages to play so many rpgs is mindblowing lol. I appreciate your picks too Ircha!!!!
Heya, I saw a game Landon said, octopath traveler and I got that game on Christmas and I tell you what, both of you made my day with that game. Great choice
Great to see Erik there. Own & enjoyed 5 of these 10 games. Will add the others to the collection. Thank you both for this video.
