It's because they all use Axe FX units and get a direct signal.
These load reload songs are perfect for MetallicA to play in their older years. They sound excellent!

Escape, Eye Of The Beholder, My Friend Of Misery, 2X4, The House Jack Built, Until It Sleeps, Bleeding Me, Wasting My Hate, Thorn Within, Outlaw Torn, Devil’s Dance, The Unforgiven II, Carpe Diem Baby, Fixxxer, The Unnamed Feeling, That Was Just Your Life, The End Of The Line, The Unforgiven III, Judas Kiss, Suicide & Redemption, My Apocalypse, Am I Savage?, and Murder One. There also might be many others.

Yes only song i will hear from load and re-load is Until it sleeps. They should play that instead of the overplaying Nothing Else matters IMO. i love metallica but dont think songs from loads fits the setlist. Until it sleepz thos thou.
My favorite as well. James got his lyrics messed up the first couple times, so I think they are waiting until they nail it. I agree, straight chills with the powerful lyrics and feel of the song.
@@vltrvsh5912 They've played it at every show so far on this tour except for Paris (who had "I disappear" from the Mission Impossible tracklist instead). Glad they still pick some songs from the Load album who is the most underrated of all their albums. It may not be a Thrash metal album like it used to be, but the songs are really good, and i love the much heavier and slower pace (but again, I'm a Doom and Stoner fan, so the pure old school thrash metal fans just hated the turn that Load made for the band).
I wish they play more Load and Reload songs live. Truly underrated albums. King Nothing is one of the hidden gems of these albums🤘🤘
These Songs are better when they are detached from the album sound. Load and Reload are that much overproduced and perfected that they became boring because freshness was lacking completely.
But as one can see here i.e., the songs themselves are very good here in a live setting.
@@MB-rn4ul Opinion is a great thing, isn't it? Because for me the produce and sound quality of Load/Reload are one of the best from 90's. Likewise "Nine Lives" from Aerosmith.

Their most underrated album by far. It's way better than Reload, who has some more catchy songs for the normies and casuals (Fuel, Unforgiven II or the Memory Remains), but Load is way better written, and has a darker vibe in it. I still can remember arguing during my High School years with all my metalhead pals who were deep into thrash and and Death metal (so was I btw), and couldn't stand Load and just quit Metallica after Reload was out: for them the band were just sellouts who abandoned their way (curiously they didn't say that for Sepultura when the Root album was out... :D), and I was just trying to defend the band, telling them that Metallica was orientated towards a darker and slower pace kind of music, and I was fine with it (It was the time when I started listening to Kyuss, Fu Manchu and Candlemass, so I was OK with that), but the pure thrash heads couldn't accept it...
@@MoreAwsomeMetal I can relate to a lot of that. Although Metallica’s early stuff is my favourite, I always really enjoyed where they went with load and it’s slower, groove oriented heaviness.

This was the song that got me into Metallica. I still remember that early morning sitting on the bus with my walkman as a freshman in high school, listening to the local rock radio station, this song coming on and being transfixed. That was it for me, fan for life!
Not only is this song great, but when they perform it in such an expert way, it turns into this entity.

Load and Reload were not hits. We learned to appreciate them many years later. So this song it's like a filler. It's like St. Anger. a single but not a hit.

Definitely helping is them playing in the round. Cant speak to stage theatrics but james is singing much better here than cunning stunts.

@@bloodlinefilms yeah cunning stunts was seriously bad. I remember being in high school, getting the VHS of that show, being super excited to watch it, popping it in, and immediately being disappointed by James' voice. The rest was (and still is) awesome tho. Watched it almost weekly back then.
@@matt_queso agree man, the show itself was subpar. cracking Voice, One Solo screwed up, setlist a bit sucky. Considering they played more exciting songs around the Cunning Stunts recordings it’s baffling how they picked these songs
Load was my first Metallica album and my first ever metal album at all. It has such a special place in my heart and I hope they play some of it when I see them next year in Denmark! 🇩🇰

The greatest crime I've committed in my life was not being able to go to this concert. I was so close tho, and they played some of my favorite songs as well. Hope next year I'll be able to fulfill my biggest dream and see them live
Seeing these old guys still pumping out so much energy, seeing them having fun and getting excited and connecting as seen particularly in the beginning of the video is priceless. Follow your dreams, be stubborn, listen to yourself and be yourself. So they have what they have today.

As a Metallica fan since 91 (when I was 9) who understands their career and every studio album and circumstances, I gotta say: Load is my favorite Metallica album. There's not much I can say about it, it just hits me in the right way I guess.
I'm a musician and years ago I was interviewed by a small underground black metal magazine. When it was time for me to name my 5 favourite music albums, in my head I knew I wanted to choose one from Metallica. Almost chose Load, but, because of Orion alone, ended up being unoriginal, and said Master of Puppets. Today I regret my decision, because of one track. Overall, Load is my number one Metallica album.
Yes, Load is my fav also. I am much younger though. St Anger was my first album. I was 15. Now its my least fav album😅
I hated Load when I bought the cassette the day it came out. But it grew on me over time. My favorite is Ride the Lightning.
It seems that whichever album comes out when someone's a teenager, tends to be their favourite. I love all of the albums except Hardwired but my favourite is still Death Magnetic.

I was there, GA tickets 2nd row, I remember during this song my bones were getting crushed by all the pushing 😂, I had a blast, so grateful I witnessed them live. Paris crowd was great
