You really have a nice setup! My own personal taste, but I would add an optivisor for the hands-free optical magnafication, additional cleaning rods as I hate taking the time to swap the bore brush with the patch jag, and a couple of needle oilers for your favorite oil or solvent. Another thing I like to have around - acid brushes for applying oil or grease or for general wiping/brushing. I can trim the bristles back if I want a stiffer brush. A box of them are available at Harbor Freight and they are cheap enough that you won't feel bad if you toss it after one use. A box of 36 is about $3. The other thing I would do, if you don't have to have your bench mobile, is to lag bolt the bench to the wall. This will steady up the bench and make it rock solid. You will be appreciate this if you ever have to pound on something or reef on somethng in the vise. Thanks for sharing. Cheers!
Your gunsmith workbench looks top notch! I would recommend getting a solid gun vise. Checkout both Total Vise and Real Avid. They have some great adjustable gun vises. It would be a perfect addition to your setup. Keep up the great work!
Lol, I love things like that. Great video man! Built my actual work bench, takes at least four corn fed boys to move it. Im just now getting ideas for an actual gun cleaning/smithing bench to keep it from being overbuilt. I am a huge fan of the slat boards myself. keep doin you and things like that bruh, lol.
This is a good setup for a beginner, however two things do need to be changed. First take the claw hammer and put it back in the garage and replace it with a couple of small ball peen hammers (1, 2, 4 oz) and polish the faces to a mirror finish. second take the electrical and masking tape to the garage with the claw hammer and replace them with some good painters tape.

If UA-cam will allow it, would love to see some demo's on the use of each like the vise and torque wrench (and things like that). With all of the worry about guns and parts becoming scarce, what would be good spare repair parts (springs, pins,.....and things like that) that would be good to have on hand for repairs of things that are likely to eventually need repair/replacement. Great video, links to find the stuff you're talking about, and ability to recognize and poke fun at yourself. Thanks.
Get a sonicating bath.. It's worth the money.. dental tools, cause you need to be able to clear threads... a second vise thats not so close to the end of the bench so you can work on things that may be longer on other ends... If you dont have a drill press and multiple rethreading tools your missing out. 3 levels with 2 that are magnets. a polishing wheel and a holder.

I like to throw an extra roll pin among my buddy’s builds. Keeps them on their toes and they get real fast at tear downs and assembly. 😂

what desk lamp would you recommend for cleaning guns ?
Any one should work fine as long as it provides enough light. I find the 5000 lumen overhead light to be most effective. I rarely use the desk lamp
