Grant is such a good actor.
Beau Duncan he should get a show too, just for this performance
Grant obviously has some unresolved trauma from his struggling actor/waiter days.
Between this performance and the "5 Tips..." Videos, Grant *terrifies* me
It's funny because as we learned in Total Forgiveness, Grant still has to wait tables every weekend just to make ends meet.
@@DeathnoteBB well, thanks to Total Forgiveness and Game Changer, he probably doesn’t need to anymore
remember; this is the man who pitched a microscope and cried when he was made fun of for being tall
Eagan L “Stop pitching mean pitches about other cast members.” I think, I’m not sure
These scenes with Grant extremely intense lmao
I'm convinced he's a filthy Daddy in real life. He has that aura about him. I would know
is it me or does he always nastily eat something when every he in a skit
I appreciate Grant’s generosity towards food products. But is he into cottage cheeeeeese?
Grant, don't ever make an enemy out of Grant
Shelby S Grant O'Brien is definitely one of those people who I would not want to piss off in real life.
I could imagine a whole series of Grant interacting with people in an interview setting. Like a really intense "Between Two Ferns".
As a server in a restaurant, I can verify this as an accurate depiction of the inside of my brain sometimes. The second the guy grabbed the back of the server's shirt I knew shit was about to go down.
I didn't even notice he did that the first few times I saw this but when I did I was like wtf that's not okay...
Kamryn Black your name last name is very misleading when I see your profile picture 😂
Yeah you yank on a stranger and it's all down hill from there. Seriously only small children can get away with that. Even then they gotta be like cute or lost and need help.
Shit, took me 5 years to notice that. It all makes sense now, if someone grabbed me by the back of the shirt, I think my reflex would be to just swipe back as hard as possible out of fear.
"I AM THE MANAGER!"
Pucca Funny Love reminds me of the scene from Futurama when Zoidberg goes crazy and yells at a load of pregnant women "I'M A DOCTOR!"
Grant could definitely play villains in like movies and shit, oh my god he's so fucking scary.
I absolutely agree with you. He's got that unpredictability that made a lot of great villains famous along with sheer violence, pure gratuitous evil (a bit like Hans Landa in Inglorious Basterds).
It's okay that it ended on a comedic note because of the nature of that series, so it's understandable they didn't go all the way with villain Grant.
Martin Desaulnières that word gratuitous is a paradox. it's not possible to be violent with out reason. Altogether, you can only do something with reason behind your actions.
This notion that people believe is just wrong.
Martin Desaulnières uhm actually grant has just as much unpredictability as anybody else in the world.
You have the potential of being a murder, villain psychopath, etc. .
You people keep praising the members of CH for their ability to be 'scary' or 'authentic'.
and yet you forget:
They are actors.
Yes, they act. and given a certain character, they have to immerse themselves into that certain character.
The moment you play a role (as ab actor) and let yourself be touched by its characteristics,
you (actor) are able to touch and let the audience be immersed and invested in the story, characters, emotions.
I love acting and habe been watching CH perform endless sketches and acts.
It's amazing what they can often pull off. at the same time I find many acts which they perform very sloppy for various reasons (If you wanna know I can elaborate on them).
This one was a huge one from the three in this clip. This was very appealing to me. I had the impression that all three were dedicated to their role and immersed into the character. and not just acting. that's actually the joke in this whole acting thing.
You don't lie to someone, making them think that your a psychopath.
You actually BECOME THE PSYCHOPATH.
Acting is the end of all lies.
It's were truth starts. It's were the act becomes your truth.
of course, just for the moment on Stage or camera. :)
Have a great day.
That's a good point. But I'm pretty sure you understood that I was talking about badly written villains who just want to destroy the world or something with no apparent reason, I mean I'm sure the character in his own universe has something that pushes him to do it but they don't explain what it is.
Grant's getting angry and scary because he's arguing a point, and what he says isn't wrong and it makes some sense, it's just a cynical asshole's opinion. He has a justified purpose.
Martin Desaulnières Ups I actually didn't get your point. My bad.
Now I DO get your point. :P
Thanks for clearing it up.
I love how Grant has to bend so far to even be in the shot hahaha
*But how tall is Grant*
"Is there a manager around here?"
"I /AM/ THE MANAGER!!!"
The most satisfying moment in any retail worker's life.
Grant deserves all the awards for this lmao
Grant was so good that he deserved an award for a completely different award show - THAT is how amazing this is.
*Grant w/ glasses:* sweet, wholesome, bf you could bring to ur home on Thanksgiving
*Grant without glasses:* evil, sly psychopath who doesn't take shit from nobody and thinks Cersei should get the Iron Throne.
Shit, he'd straight up take the Iron Throne from Cersei if he had the opportunity.
Grant is only using 10% of his power here, the reason he's so clumsy is because he's always turning it down to make sure he doesn't accidentally use 100% and unintentionally cause the heat death of the universe
Grant is a PHENOMENAL actor.
College Humor has been so dark lately I absolutely love it.
Enjoy a bit of dark humor do you? I bet you think that makes you special huh?
Dark? Calling anything CH does dark humor is the funniest thing on a CH page
I'm 100% here for psychotic waiter Grant as the show's main recurring character. He is everything.
where else does he appear? i didn't watch all of the hot date clips
I know he appears in episode 2 or 3, which is the Diet Menu episode. I think he MIGHT cameo in one more but I'm not 100% sure.
If anyone should be made to feel special and congratulated, its your mother. But you are celebrating without her and you haven't even called her yet. This is painfully true haha
If she was here, I'd gladly give her a piece of dry chocolate cake
I remember when I celebrated my 21st birthday I came home early from
Work and she got me a cake the neighbor made ate it with her so I guess that a pass 😂😂😂
One of the best Grant's performance so far! 😂😂
This is probably my favorite Hot Date yet lol.
"I AM THE MANAGER!"
Lamar Gordon I feel like "I AM THE MANAGER" is a reference to a movie, but I can't remember which.
I 100% have never been attracted to Grant until he exhibited the dom energy of throwing a napkin at Murph and saying "put this in your mouth"
this is the only video i have ever found him attractive in and i don't care
Grant should be acting in movies tbh
I love how as soon as Grant started yelling you can see Emily holding back laughter through her acting
He is awesome in this act
your doctor That is the side of Grant who took pointers from the hubris speech Zach gave about podcasts. I was disturbed, in a delightful way
Murph, Emily, whatever you do don't order the sandwiches. you don't want to know what Grant does to sandwiches
Murph’s absolute horror when Emily talks about her birthday rituals to Grant was perfect.
Not enough props to Murph; he was also fantastic.
I love how Grant has to lean over so much just get in the shot. Actually makes him more of menacing figure.
And scary, sexy Grant is back..... oh yes.
I like how people are still watching in the background lol
I also love the bit when the boyfriend goes "Oh shit" when he realises it's Grant
Grant humiliates them in a different way each time. Now that's quality service!
Grant screaming “I AM THE MANAGER” is one of the funniest things ever xD
Sometimes I forget how abjectly terrifying Grant can be
“Is there a manager here?”
I AM THE MANAGER!
In all fairness, he did grab the waiter's shirt to get his attention. This is basically snapping your fingers at a waiter. They deserved this reaction
When Emily starts to explain it's her birth _week_ and Murph shakes his head like "oh.. _NOooooo"_ 💀💀👻
Who else is here from Trapp’s sad tweet reminiscing after they all got randomly fired
"Put this in your fucking mouth" made me laugh so hard
Holy shit, that's the best character they've ever given Grant! I'm afraid to click away from this video....
It's amazing to see Murph go from the guy who used to scare the shit out of Jake to being terrorised by Grant
“Your birthday is the least special thing about you... everybody has birthdays” 😁
God Grant is so good at acting.
David Hopscotch plot twist he’s not acting in this he just is that crazy irl
Grant’s terrifying performances make me feel wonderful, confused feelings in my pants. I don’t know what to do about this
Lennin La Cruz lololol how old r u? Cuz you sound like either a 10 year old or pretending to be . Hahaha
Grant is surprisingly versatile in acting
Grant is such a great actor. Love him!
So i've seen this before when it came out but i only just now noticed that Murph actually tugged on the waiter's shirt while he was at another table... They deserved psycho-Grant for that...
A birthday implies that you beat death for another year. Like going up a level or something.
No, it means you got closer to your death date by 1 year. That's no reason to celebrate.
Don't you realize how impressive it is to survive each successive year? People like to use that '1 year closer to death' line, but assuming you actually survive long enough to be allowed to die of old age, that is probably the greatest achievement you could ever make.
You don't get 'closer' to death each year, that cloaked figure follows you around literally everywhere you go, every day, just waiting for a chance to strike. So if and when you reach that point where you can say 'I've survived another year' I think that's definitely worth celebrating!
Pranav Karmarkar , only of you belive we have our days counted no matter what we do we will survive until we reach that age. Which would mean you can't possibly die until you reach that age and while it might sound cool that is not the world we live on.
Also, it would be super dangerous if we all were to be invincible until we are 70.
I think I speak for everyone when I say this is some of Grant's best work right here. He's flawless throughout the entire video :)
*grabs garnish, eats Olive, pops balloon with garnish sword, just kidding didn't eat the olive, spits it back in the drink* who else laughed out loud at this???!!!!
I didn't find it funny cuz things that turn me on don't make me laugh ooooops
Seeing another side of grants acting that I never imagined possible. Actually amazing
This is my favorite collegehumor skit of all time. I keep coming back to it.
This. This is what customer service does to people.
I really thought this was going to be about how several people in the restaurant were also celebrating their birthday at that exact same time making it absurdly clear how insignificant it was, but I liked this better. Well done! 👌
Low key though grant looks hot in this vid as normal lol
I just looked up 1/2 birthdays. It's actually a thing... How narcissistic do you have to be..?
I Loved this skit.
Princess Zoeylynn I had to chuckle at this and then wonder about myself. My best friend and I are 6 months apart to the day, so when one says happy birthday, the other says happy half birthday...
Adylure That's cute :) That is unique to share with a Best Friend. I wonder if Twins always feel like they have a 1/2 Birthday..lol..
Princess Zoeylynn just as narcissistic as a regular birthday...
They are both made up human holidays
Grant's reaction is literally what every waiter/bartender wants to say whenever a grown-up says "it's my birthdayyyy
I love his "oh shit" at seeing Grant haha
i'm scared and turned on and i don't know what to do with this info
Twisted Grant is best Grant
grant is so hot to me
He got a point tho. I'm going to celebrate my mom on my birthday from now on!
I love how Murph actually acted like Jake did when Murph showed up in Jake and Amir episodes lmao
Grant:
Nerdy, clumsy, tall dude
Sexy tall dude
Cute tall dude
Scary, creepy tall dude
Idk just google keith and there probably is a wiki page or sm
I recite this monologue every time someone asks me about my horoscope or anything astrology related
..what does it say about me that creepy Grant is super hot to me hahahha
Andrew Williams lol I mean I would never actually date him like that haha
Shit was intense
Well mark me down as scared AND excited
Literally Grant's finest performance. I really want to see him in a feature length film with Falling Down vibes.
I normally just go "meh" at the hot dates but DAYUM! This was genuinely amazing. I nearly spit out my coffee watching this xD
Grant would make a great serial killer in a horror movie.
Who else wants more raging 😤 grant waiter sketches
Oh my god Grant is daddy af
Grant should be the Joker not Jared Leto
Literally my favorite video of the whole series
When the glasses are removed from Grant's face, his sweet nerdy personality vanishes and his inner demon awakens. If you get this reference I love you so much.
that's why Grant shouldn't take his glasses off
Mattie lmao
They suppress the inner demon within
Oh, he’s Shinpachi? That makes so much sense.
He's too powerful without sight
Cuz it makes him even hotter?
