- Exploring the often-misunderstood District 8 of Saigon, Vietnam, we discovered a day filled with warmth and hospitality from the locals.
Despite its reputation as a dangerous area, we found the people to be some of the friendliest and most amazing we've met in a long time. From savoring a delicious snail breakfast at the popular Ốc Dì Minh restaurant, which sells out in just 3 hours every day, to exploring the vibrant slums and sharing beers with new Vietnamese friends under the bridge, our day was filled with unforgettable experiences.
If you're looking for a hidden gem in District 8, be sure to check out Ốc Dì Minh at 27/9 Đ. Hưng Phú, Phường 8, Quận 8, Hồ Chí Minh.
Ốc 1A is next to Cầu Chữ Y Bridge. This was the second snail restaurant we came across that wasn’t planned 😆 So if your in the area be sure to check them out.

We agree 😀 one thing I’ve learned about living in Asia and eating street food. One tip I can give is too take probiotics everyday to keep the gut balanced as best we can 😎🇻🇳

If you doubt Vietnamese cuisine then I advise you to never come to my country. I have never seen Vietnamese people eat snails and have stomach problems. People with bad thoughts have stomachaches
