i am holding a small position of INTC now, my cost being approximately the price shares are currently trading at. I am willing to be patient for at least a few months, but I am encouraged by the good reception that their new B580 gpu has had. It is the right play for them to hit that price point and give the gpu market something they have been wanting. As far as cpus go, they are still competitive with the offerings from AMD, with the one downside being power consumption. If they can increase the efficiency, that will help them out a bit as well. Still interested to see who the next CEO will be though.
I don't know if we see much with INTC in the near future (6 months). I think they are still about a year away from turning things in a positive direction.
Cyclicals are a hard one to play but can explode in the up swings. You would need a good source for information to be a investor to do well at them. Great video as always 🧠🧠🧠
One the plus side for Intel, Blackrock owns 9.7bn of shares at an average price of $37. Much higher than most retail investors. Who knew Blackrock are not quite as good at picking stocks as most assumed, either way they're not in a habit of losing money.
Question Couch. When you are holding cash, are you holding liquid cash or money inside of money market fund to battle inflation. Also, maybe do a catch video on SMCI, as the hype is dying down. Could be a potential good buy depending the SEC filing news. As always, love the content. Happy New Years.
I'm an Indian accumulating Intel stocks since Pat joined in 2021. My current INTC portfolio is 28,00,000/- INR (local currency) which is around 120k USD if you consider purchasing power parity as well. Average purchase price is 29 USD. Really hope that my patience pays off and the stock recovers to atleast 50 USD by year end. It's getting difficult to hold the nerves any further. 🥶
Not to mention the exp ratio but with etf's can come downfalls being invested in companies that wouldn't have performed as well as the company you had in mind. Less risk though but a cost for diversity and higher potential growth. Everyone has different styles.
LAM is the one I don’t understand why it’s been beaten so bad. They had good earnings and even rose after but since they’ve dropped over 10%. Seems like every related company’s earnings affects them (eg. Micron). I personally think this is the best opportunity to amass LRCX stock.
Short = earnings trade, event catalyst Long 2nd portfolio = 1 year or extreme outperformance Long core portfolio = years, decades Micron will fit in category 2 at the moment
Besides the points mentioned about Micron, the fact that it is "the only U.S. pureplay for memory chips" has got me interested. I feel that the incoming administration, as well as national interest/security is bullish for micron long term. Am I wrong to think this or is there something there? Thanks for the content btw and a great new year to you!
Intel is a train wreck right now with no signs that it is turning around anytime soon. Years of mismanagement are just now catching up to the company. I wonder if a reorganization is the ultimate solution sometime in the future.

Happy New Year! ❤
I hold shares in AMD and Intel from recent prices. I thought about buyjng NVDA but waiting for a decent correction to get in at a much lower price.
I just purchased ASML
Hey thanks for such steady content. All I do is look for helpful data on the off days. Prosperity for us all.
My pleasure!
Intel is going to be a fab play, moving forward. They need to make a play to disrupt TSM.
LAM is a great longterm investment for Quantum computer Chipmakers needing there stuff!
Happy new year pal best wishes for 2025

We're going to get a lot of info in the first two Qs of the year. If I don't get what I want, I think it might be time to jump ship
Cyclicals are a hard one to play but can explode in the up swings. You would need a good source for information to be a investor to do well at them. Great video as always 🧠🧠🧠
Very true!
I’m with you on Intel. Crossing my fingers they improve this yr
So we are 3 :)
Welcome fellow bagholders!
I think another big company will buy intel🤞🏼
Welcome to the new year dear investors 😊😊

ASML a monopoly but still facing weakness? Monopoly problems-good or bad for us investors?

Would like to know the answer to this also
I get 4% on my cash so that's where it is. I can access it whenever I want.
SMCI, I'll wait until they file anything
Happy new year man.
Same to you!
I think intel is very interesting at these prices as well. I bought more at $19 last week.
Nice!

I was checking sodium ion for new battery technology. Seems better than lithium, Ur take ?, cheers
I'll have to dig in because I don't know
Why not buy SMH ETF which includes all of these plus NVDA and TSMC?
for the same reason you don't buy index funds
@GabbarSingh-TX vanguard tech has the best one look it up
I guess because I think individual names can generate higher returns.

WFE weakness
Great video! When you say you are considering a long position in MU, roughly how do you measure that? In the months, seasons, years, decades?
Short = earnings trade, event catalyst
Long 2nd portfolio = 1 year or extreme outperformance
Long core portfolio = years, decades
Micron will fit in category 2 at the moment
@@CouchInvestor Thank you clarifying that!

Well put and happy new year to you!
Thanks
We are back at Micron?
I am pretty sure I talk about Micron in the video
Why not qualcomm??
Also a good one
My friend, yes your amazing, intc, please noway sir. Please give your honesty feedback on SMCI,
You want to know about SMCI but not Intel?! Cmon now lol
SMCI has a deadline to reach in February
You like amd?
every one hate Intel and amd
Yes I do
I watched all of it. As soon as you opened your mouth and said the name Intel I had to switch off. 10.53.
XD at least you're honest :p
SMCI 🚀🚀🚀 😂
Let's see if they can meet the deadline
I respect intel for releasing a competitively priced gpu for home computers to compete against amd and nvidea but its still a terribly managed company
Indeed
Intel is a train wreck right now with no signs that it is turning around anytime soon. Years of mismanagement are just now catching up to the company. I wonder if a reorganization is the ultimate solution sometime in the future.
SMHX is better
Micron is terrible, I have zero faith in the CEO, he's reverse sandbagger.
The business seems to be doing well. Some things happen out of their control
