No doubt this is a beautiful Otole song and dance. I like the lyrics, the repertoire and the execution of the dance. The audacious and triumphant struts of the dancers are magnificent. How I wish that someone could explain the historical context upon which the song was composed. The historical event appear to be unique only to Acholi of Southern Sudan but unknown to Acholi of Uganda. "Igula yee, igula yee"? "Mohamed obino" Who was Mohamed in the song? The term "munu" (White or Brown munu?) in the song needs clarification too.
