As a non-Jew, I agreed with everything she said and was very moved. I cried a few times. First, when she told her son she would like to think they would have had the courage to have hidden their Jewish friends in WWII Germany. Since becoming a Christian I have very much loved and admired Corrie Ten Boom and read her books and watched 'The Hiding Place' with my children and made sure they understand (my daughter is at Uni. now so I keep reminding her of the truth). I know 'naturally' I wouldn’t be brave enough to do what she did - but I also know God would give me the strength to do it because it’s exactly what He would want me to do. The comment about everyday being October 8th - absolutely yes. The world changed on that day - it’s not the same anymore. We have seen what kind of people we are living with and every day I feel sick in the pit of my stomach at the anti-Semitism and the lies. Those people hate me too - I am 100% a Zionist - Israel is absolutely the homeland of the Jews whether you are religious or not.
I went to School in Tottenham in the 1960s . A lot of my friends are Jewish. I bless Israel 🇮🇱 and pray for the peace of Jerusalem daily. 💗. ✝️

The question is what this silence over Hamas rapes of Jewish women means in terms of credibility of these organizations. Surely, something has to be done?

Gaza, Samaria and Judea are all 50 years OVER DUE for a purge of Islamic Jihadists. No other country in the world has been so accommodating as has Israel after winning a war launched to annihilate it, in fact two. There are a handful (relatively) of those Arabs/Muslims in these regions who wish to live in a secular democracy, and are not bothered by living in a predominantly Jewish country, which also happens to be a very prosperous one. If they lived in the U.S., they would be living in a predominantly Christian country, with government holidays that follow it.
Those people, certainly less than 20% of these populations, should be given the opportunity for Israeli citizenship. How to weed them out? Simple. All that is required is for them to take a public (written and oral and taped) oath swearing allegiance to Israel, acknowledging its rights to exist, and its vital need to maintain a predominant Jewish population, and to condemn all concepts of Islamic Jihad. Possibly add educational requirements, meaning learning of the history.
Those who do not wish to make those oaths will then be deported. Those in Samaria and Judea, will be sent to Jordan (regardless of their consent), as these lands were won from Jordan in '67. They or their parents/grand-parents were Jordanian citizens. If Jordan wants to physically put up a barrier of entry to its former Jordanian citizens, then that is its PR battle.
Gazans who refuse the conditions of citizenship, will become stateless people, needing to find a country to accept them. They would have a year to do so, after which they would be considered illegal aliens, and detained until a host country is located.
They would be compensated for their real property, have moving expenses paid. Those taking the oaths living in these lands, who feel unsafe, will be provided accommodations outside those areas, until the one year deportation process is complete.
Afterwards the fences, walls, check-points, will all come down.
Israel's Arab population percentage will rise from 20% to 30%. But, it will be a population of Arabs/Muslims who love their children more than believing in a religion's dictate to hate Jews.
This seems to be a very practical and considered idea to implement for future peace.

Also I would add there is a spiritual element to the conflict. There is good and evil in the world. That doesn't mean Israel is perfect and that most Palestinians aren't good people, but there is a world of difference Israel and hamas, which is rooted in the choice between good or evil.

What makes a non-Jewish person an “ally” (sorry for fashionable word): in my case, it is growing up in Brooklyn, having many Jewish friends, and, most important, a knowledge of history that goes back further than the last five minutes of social media. On October 8, I was appalled by the “pro-Palestine” march in New York celebrating terrorism. It was a wake-up for me to recognize the hatred of Jews that has been living below the surface, like an infection, in every society throughout the world. And the young people today make this phony distinction about being anti-Zionist. Going forward, I stand with the Jewish people and with Israel. Israel is not perfect: it’s a democracy populated by human beings. But the alternative is a Hobbesian world of chaos and cruelty.
One of the things that astonishes me as a lefty is the betrayal by the left of the refusal to denounce Hamas.
The atrocities were against people of peace living in social democratic kibbutzim yet the left supports the so-called Palestinian cause for freedoms when it is clear that the last thing Palestinian leaders and many of the Palestinians themselves want is human rights, women’s rights, rights to love and live with whom you want (LGBTQ+), labour rights, religious rights, true social justice and economic justice.
The leaders of Hamas and the PA-Fatah are wealthy while their people live in poverty and hardship.
A so-called Marshall-type plan will only work if Hamas is gone and Islamic Jihad ends. That is a tall order given the interpretations many make of the Quran’s antisemitism.

I'm saddened that members of my family and friends remained committed left-leaning liberals not able to recognize the insidious corruption the left has had on liberalism and the Democratic party. Raise your kids with firm morals. Dont say, ‘Id hope we’d do this or that.‘ Say, ‘This is what we do. We do the moral thing.’ I was raised with morals in the latter fashion. When I have a moral dilemma, I cannot live with myself if I go against my morals. Let me tell you, its f**d up my life, royally, and I lost out a lot of my dreams and even some of my hope. But I know it was the right path to choose. Kids today take the easy path, every time, because they live a soft, cushy life and are given everything, with nothing much expected of them and no consequences to choosing the wrong choice. Raise them with morals and not equivocation.
