Can we also ask what surfactant you used here? The ratio seems quite big. I've been reading more like a 1:1 ratio. Is it because it's a water-based fragrance and not pure essential oil fragrance that makes the ratio bigger?

What is the use of distilled water with the perfume?
They are not necessary. But distilled water and glycerine are both used to make sure your skin doesn't dry out when exposed.

Hi Josh! Thanks for this visual. I'm new to this (essentials oils & fragrances) but been reading the past few days and getting a bit confused about surfactants and solubilizer. I'm kind of led to believe that it works like a solubilizer but called surfactants when working with lathery type of products (shampoo, perhaps) rather than just plain mixing oil to a mostly water based product like a room spray freshener -- and hence, they are called solubilizers. So they are the same thing?
He did not mention, you need a Non-Ionic Surfactant. There are 3 types of Surfactants: Anionic which foams and used in Shampoos, etc. Non-Ionic that do not foam too much and used as Oil Solubilzers and Cationics used in Germicides, such as Benzalkonium chloride also there are Amphoteric Surfactants.
You need to look for Non-Ionic Surfactants such as hydroxyalkylether alkoxylates .
Hello im using coco glucoside as a surfactant, its a non ionic one, still when i mix it gets milky and wont change, also the smell is totally gone

Hi, if the fragrance oil is 30%, surfactant is 70%, how much water do you add afterwards? What is the best way to store wsf for diffusers? Can you just store the fragrance oil with the surfactant then just put few dropsin a diffuser with water? Or dilute the wsf right away with water then store. Thanks!
We do not add any water in the production process of water soluble fragrances; just the fragrance and surfactant which makes it ready to add into your water based products :) We recommend you store your fragrances in their original bottles, tightly sealed and away from direct UV light. It's fine to just store the fragrance oil on it's own and add it to water in the diffuser as needed instead of diluting it an then storing it. Hope this helped!

Dear Sir, hopefully you are performing well. You are professional of perfumes so, I'll like to discuss a issue in manufacturing of adhesives.
Mostly adhesives are manufactured using petrochemicals which are highly volatile. They contain aromatic or aliphatic compounds.
So, due to these petrochemicals solvents and resin adhesive has bad smell.
Now I am trying to remove this smell. I used a oil perfume but this perfume disturbed the bond strength.
Can you guide me in any regard please.?
Suggest me a suitable aromatic perfume which caus the good smell of adhesive without disturbing the bonding please.
Oils are damaging to adhesive bonding because of the lubrication oils provide. Best suggestion i can give is to use something that isn't oil based, perhaps something dissolved in a solvent, like odorless mineral spirits, which will evaporate as the adhesive does
Can the surfactant then be negated , probably along with the water , with heat or evaporation or distilling maybe ? If so would the super cherry then be original or changed ?
Hello why i mix my surfactant (cocos glucoside) to my perfume oil, it becomes white like chalk. And when i add water to it and mix, nothing happens, it stays white. What am i doing wrong

I'm looking for a fragrance that can be added to Sodium Hypochlorite to mass the spell, needs to be water-based as well. We are using a fragrance right now but we can only add very little due to the acidic qualities within the fragrance. I'm sure you know but Acid and Bleach and not very stable together, any help would be great, thanks!

Hello sir I am having the same problem I am making mosquito incense and in that I am using oil based chemical and isopropyl alcohol but they dont mix which surfactant should I use? Can u please tell me the surfactant which doeesnot create foam in the mixture?
Alcohol or surfactant . not both . it would seem any way .
Do not use alcohol on mosquito repelling products it will remove the efficacy

We recommend a 30-70 ratio. So if you have 30ml of fragrance, we recommend a 70ml of surfactant.

Would be helpful to know what the surfactant is. We only use healthy, natural ingredients, not polysorbate.

Whereas surfactant is different which works bu lowering surface tension and allows soils grease etc ., to get dissolve in water , so no surfactant can be used to make perfume , however surfactant are used in perfumery for their emulsification properties (allowing oil and water to mix like alfox 200), as per my understanding

We recommend N-120 but there are many low foaming surfactants you could use.
