This is one of the most amazing storylines for any wrestler, he was mega mid card in WWE in most of his run, then built up his career outside of WWE, came back and had over a year to gain a title victory. I didn't watch WM39 but i think its genius to build him up during WWE and not say f it give him the belt cause hes the hottest star. One definitive compliment i can give is that i am so glad they didn't give him up like they did Christian Cage. My god his WHC run with Randy was painful.

I had hope that Cody's reign would have been of a high level, but it wasn't because in reality the only follow-up so far that has been great is with Kevin Owens, but otherwise the reign was very basic and that 5-star fight didn't make it. any sense.
