- Residents across Ogun, Oyo and Lagos states are groaning over what they describe as abandoned or bad roads littered across the states, which they allege have been causing untold traffic hardship to motorists and commuters. This was confirmed by Naira metrics during interviews with some states’ residents.
According to them, productive hours are spent in traffic across many major roads in the states simply because of bad roads. While there are dire implications from the time spent in traffic congestion, lost appointments, vehicle owners also recount the cost implications of frequent repairs due to damages caused by the poor state of the roads.
Some of the abandoned roads across Ogun State are the Akute Road, Magboro Road, Agbado Junction (bridge and road), Ijoko Road, and Lambe (bridge and road) areas of Ogun State. Some of the bad roads across Lagos are Abaranje Road, Community Road (Ijegun), Araromi road; while in Ibadan, Ojo, Iwo Road, Toll Gate to Iwo Road axis along Iwo Road expressway can not be ignored.

It is very sad that the Ogun State government abandoned the people of Akute, lambe, Oke Aro, Alagbado, and environs.
It doesn't seem like there's a government in Ogun State.
Many people have sold their houses at giveaway prices to avoid sudden death.
Cab drivers will refuse to take you Alagbole, Olambe. Oke aro and Alagbado because of the terrible state of roads.
25 years ago, you can drive from berger through Alagbole through Oke aro and back to Agege in 30 minutes.
Now, you can not in 4 hours. I personally feel that the governor doesn't care.
I have a property around Alagbado for the past 4 years, I can’t visit the house due to bad road. Dapo Abiodun is nothing but a failure. Shame on this man, I even tried to sell the house but no body is buying that same Opeilu.

Ogun state has no commendable development.
I grew up there and it saddens my heart each time I go back there these days. No significant development for almost twenty years.
The major roads are nothing to write home about. I think you can imagine what the minor roads and the streets look like.
Any governor should do ONLY what they can start and complete from the first year to four years or even eight years of their tenure .
We don't want any uncompleted projects in Ogun State again , they need to learn from Minister Wike , when he was the River State governor , he completed all the projects he started. He's also doing great works now to develop the FCT Abuja , just within a year of assumption in office as the Minister.
Everything he did then and now are on the UA-cam app , check them up, please.
Ogun State governor should as a matter of urgency, create a UA-cam channel and start to showcase everything being done in the state henceforth.
We need to see everything and know whatever he's doing for the Ogun state people.
No more excuses, please spend more money to rehabilitate the bad roads .
We also need active Local government authorities to do the internal roads networks all over the state .

Mr man, you better advice your Principal to do the right thing. Whether you like it or not, in three years time, both of you will leave the corridor of power. Stop defending what is not. Your Principal has not done much. The roads are terribly bad, in states of comatose.
We're are the enemies of ourselves and our development in Nigeria due to corruption and greediness. And out of a multitude of talk and testimonies on this show this morning, it shows that that government is not doing anything in that state. This is just a bad precedence for the people of Ogun in general, and the evidence doesn't bring out our "Motto" as we profess as Ogun people.
Our leaders should just stop being greedy and put the right people who are technocrat in their fields (a round peg in a round hole) to do a proper job as per the construction and development of our states and country at large.

I understand that as a SSA your job is to promote and protect the interest of your principal but how did you utter this statement that the roads Mr gov have completed are not inherited - meaning he ignored the ongoing constructions as they are no priority.
Immediate Past governor identified these roads as priority, started work and expect that Gov Dapo completes meanwhile your principal came in and tag them as inherited projects! God will judge y'all.
What's the economic importance of Gbonogaun, Kemta elite road compared to Alagbole Ajuwon Akute or Sango Agbado??
@segunodeyale7499 The past governor Amosun should have started the repair in good time so that he completed what he started. The governors always delay projects till late hours or when they are about to leave the office so that they wouldn't account for any money mismanaged on such projects.

Governor Amosun abandoned most of the road networks especially in Ijebu areas.

Ojodu Berger and , Ogba is x10 of Alagbole in terms of development! Tarred roads with lights, recreational centres, empowerment programmes etc all done by a Honourable not Gov Sanwoolu. From Gov of Ogun state to its reps, senators and house of assembly they are all useless
