Yeah I do think that he's an honest person. I still take new reviews with a grain of salt though because it's difficult to say bad things about a free echelon and optic. I don't think anyone should choose this optic over options like the holosun but that's my personal opinion. I noticed that a lot of people purchased the xdm 3.8 elite with the optic because of the reviewers that received free products. Those people would have been better off simply buying the xdm elite and choosing a better optic. Springfield is attempting to do the optic thing all over again and I hope that people do research and choose the optic that's best for them. People starting out might assume that it's difficult to install an optic so they decided to get one installed from the factory. The HEX Dragonfly that came with the xdm elite didn't have shake awake technology and none of the reviewers that I watched pointed it out. People could have simply spent an extra $50-100 dollars for the holosun and got a great optic with that technology. I'm not saying that he's like that but most people that get free products are unfortunately like that. Springfield, walther and sig definitely know how to hype up a product because they send free products to content creator's and those content creator's act like it's the greatest product ever invented lol. I purchased the sig p365 because of content creator's hyping it up and it turned out being worse than my m&p shield. They claimed that the sig p365 trigger was amazing when in reality it has a spongy break and weird slow reset. They claimed that the p365 was insanely accurate compared to other micro options but the frame to trigger distance and the controls are so cramped together that your shots end up going all over the place. The only thing that was special about the p365 was the higher magazine capacity. That's why I take new reviews with a grain of salt. The echelon is definitely a nice reliable product though. I did read that the compact echelon is having issues with the previous full size magazine's so I hope that he runs those magazine's through the compact.
Yeah and at first he said the echelon was kind of snappy but then compared to the mod 3 he said that they were the same. He never said the mod 3 was snappy but he also paid for that one
@@albertreade7607 , I honestly think that at the time, he probably thought it was snappy. Dude reviews a bunch of different guns and it probably felt snappier to him then a gun he shot previously. Maybe, he is lying, I don't know. I own the EchelonF and I don't think it's snappy at all. I also own a XDM Elite and I would consider that to be pretty snappy. Everyone is different.
So glad Springfield sent you the 4.0C! Shows your channel is making an impact! I bought the full sized Echelon earlier this year and absolutely love it. Thanks so much for your very informative vids!
Hey Nick congrats on the fact that your channel is being recognized. Great review of the echelon comp. I currently own the Glock 19x, M&P 2.0, and wanted to add one more to complete my “big three”. I originally was going to purchase the P320, but I shot the echelon at my local gun range and I fell in love with it so I’m definitely excited about this gun and your upcoming 1000 rounds videos on it.

Awesome to see you get recognized and sent something for launch. I've been hoping this pistol was coming soon. Got my wish. This will be what I add next into my collection.
Sweet! Was hoping it would be a bit thinner than 1.2". Looking forward to a Subcompact version :D. Great review as always, thanks! Agree with others, glad Springfield recognized your channel!
I think the Hellcat Pro fits that thinner mod. I was hoping for a little thinner as well but I love my HC Pro as its size has been perfect and I shoot it well the COG (fire control unit) is nice tho. Still something for me to think about tho.
I too would buy an Echelon in thinner size. I have the original Hellcat and the Hellcat Pro which both are fantastic. I ordered the 4.0c that has 2 each 15 round mags., that is costing $689.00. Should have it next week.
Nice review. Good to see another left-handed shooter. I bought my full sized echelon and after 4500+ rounds through it, i have h ad one stove pipe and one failure to feed. But that was more likely an ammo issue than a gun issue. I am going to wait for the comp version before i get this one for my EDC.
Free stuff nice!!! Being a member of the Croatian brotherhood of the XD looking forward to this series. I have it's full size brother. Waiting for the subcompact to come out and with manual safety. Noticed you said it gets hot, same thing with my full size one. Anyway love my and hoping to get my hands on the compact as well. Stay safe.
It's awesome that they made a 4" compact! I was super nervous that they were going to release a 3.8 subcompact like they did with the xdm elite. My only complaint about the echelon is that springfield doesn't sell oem replacement springs and parts for their products. You're supposed to replace your springs after so many thousands of rounds for general maintenance. With options like the m&p, glock and pdp you can buy replacement springs and parts from the company. That's a huge deal for people that practice a lot so it blows my mind that springfield doesn't sell that stuff. If springfield wants to sell these products to law enforcement and serious shooter's they need to start selling replacement parts and springs for general maintenance. Apparently springfield will replace your springs if you ship it to them but I can only imagine how expensive it would be to send it off through a FFL dealer and have them replace those parts. Yes springfield has a warranty but what people don't understand is that parts and springs need replacement for general reliability maintenance. You don't want to wait until the springs break to replace them! Most people rarely practice and probably don't care but people like me need extra parts and springs. Springfield is probably worried that someone will sue them if the person installs the parts/springs incorrectly which is ridiculous because they already make an insane amount of money. CZ and canik are the same exact way and don't want to sell oem replacement springs which is why I avoid those companies. Springfield, CZ and canik could make the greatest product in the world but if you can't buy replacement parts and springs you're going to have to spend $600 buying an entire new platform 5-10 years down the road if you practice a lot. With the pdp, m&p and glock you can simply buy $30-40 dollars worth of springs and a new striker and you're good to go for the next 5-10 years. Remember I'm talking about general maintenance not warranty repairs! Someone will probably reply that they fired a hundred thousand rounds through their echelon or CZ without issues but it's foolish not to replace springs for general maintenance. Springs and certain parts need replacement for maintenance just like how you need to replace the tires, oil and other parts for your car. The reason I'm saying this is because a lot of people don't know that springfield does that and they deserve to know about it before spending $600-700. With the CZ p10c it probably doesn't matter because it's only a $300-$350 product but the echelon is the same price as the pdp, m&p and glock. In my opinion the echelon is nicer than the pdp, glock and m&p but not having extra parts is a gigantic flaw. I'm still super happy about this release and I hope to see a compact 10mm down the road 😀! A compact 10mm echelon would be amazing and I would definitely purchase one. I just hope that they manage to make the 10mm reliable because companies often struggle creating a reliable 10mm striker fired platform. The xdm elite 3.8 10mm is super reliable but it's designed heavy duty compared to the echelon. The xdm elite 10mm has big thick rails and a heavy duty double guide rod/recoil spring. The echelon has tiny rails and a polymer recoil spring thar isn't double. For that reason I have a bad feeling that the 10mm echelon is going to have reliability issues running hot ammo like the m&p 10mm and sig 10mm. It would probably be smart to wait a year after the 10mm echelon releases so that they work out the bug's. Keep in mind that the new cz p10c is releasing soon and will most likely have a better trigger than the compact echelon so you might want to wait 3-5 months before picking this up. I would wait and see if the new p10c is better because I've heard good things about it. Sorry about my long rant but I wanted to help people make the right decision. I understand that there's often aftermarket replacement parts/springs for these platforms but a lot of people want to stick with oem for reliability. The compact echelon is awesome and far nicer than a glock 19 so I'm not purposefully trying to make it sound bad.

Good afternoon we love our full-size echelon and it definitely has its place, but now definitely interested in getting the compact! I'm still curious to see if the mod 3 will shoot the novx ammo and not have any malfunctions
I’m pissed! Just bought a PDP F Series and two days later this comes out. Looks like the F Series may get re-homed once the optic comes in. Like you, I want something I can carry and the original Echelon ( now the “F”) just didn’t do it for me. This does look like it is a G19 replacement.
Looks good. Would be interesting to compare size w Springfield Hellcat Pro comp (that is probably the internal competition? then a Glock 19 maybe the Sig365 macro?? I see there is a larger version of this one, that has a compensator....
They mention the FCU a ton but I’m not sure about slide and frame availability. It would be nice if the platform has the same amount of support as the 365/320.
I am definitely tuned in for this one.🫡 I am not really in the market for another 9mm, but the Echelon is interesting because of the optics mounting.👍 My biggest question, how does it compare to the OSP Hellcat for being snappy? Definitely happy to see Springfield include the smaller channels in this launch, you do a great job on these reviews and I am sure that had to feel good when they reached out to you.👊
I’m going to go make the second video today. I wanted to wait to make the follow up video so the comments aligned and we could compare it to other models. I’m going to compare it to the XD Mod 3 today.
@@averagemarksman Excellent, I have the Mod 3 and plan on adding the Echelon Comp and Hellcat Comp to the family (moving away from another brand). Can't wait to hear your thoughts on the comparisons!
@@richardperry6411 the majority of videos do showcase the targets. This video was more focused on the gun. Check out the second video and let me know your thoughts.
I emailed Safariland about a left handed version but I never heard back from them. We will see if we can get one. I will say the right handed version is extremely nice.
So many quality choices. I think you'll enjoy either option. I'm not the biggest fan of the slide on the carry comp and the ambi controls are much smoother on the Echelon than the carry comp which is important to me.
If you could please put in a good word for them making the Echelon in an even smaller size! Right handers don't understand that some of us want a Hellcat/pro sized Echelon to carry.
@averagemarksman understood, I will say that you do have much more of a voice than I do and you're very well respected in the space. And you're one of the few with a left handed perspective and to me that's incredibly valuable. It would be silly if they didn't take your voice seriously. Thanks for the responses and fantastic video as always!
I'm curious too. I received an email that asked if I was interested. I said yes and a few weeks later I received an email with tracking and additional details about the product. They posted the video on the Springfield Armory TY channel.
I’ve put a lot of rounds through the Hellcat Pro Comp (there’s a playlist on the channel). Once we put 1000 rounds through the 4.0C I’ll do a comparison.
Back in the day catholic schools would force left handed children to learn to be ambidextrous and ultimately use their right hand for everything. My dad is one such case.
Good content, I'd skip all the 200, 300, 400 rounds, etc. Just get back to us after 1,000 rounds and keep track of anything in those 1000 rounds . Every 100 rounds video update is a bit extreme imo.
Good for you getting a free gun . Now you need an ammo sponsor .
An ammo sponsor would be awesome and help out a ton.

@@chuckr5929 sounds like a great setup.
@@averagemarksmanThanks man
That’s awesome they showed you some love!!!! Love how you keep all your reviews 💯!!!!!!
I wasn't sure what to think when I received the email. When I walked in the building to pick it up I was blown away by the box lol
Good afternoon we love our full-size echelon and it definitely has its place, but now definitely interested in getting the compact! I'm still curious to see if the mod 3 will shoot the novx ammo and not have any malfunctions
I stopped into the local gun store the other day and they were out of the the novx ammo. The plan was to make it happen.
I’m pissed! Just bought a PDP F Series and two days later this comes out. Looks like the F Series may get re-homed once the optic comes in. Like you, I want something I can carry and the original Echelon ( now the “F”) just didn’t do it for me. This does look like it is a G19 replacement.
I’m waiting on the optic to come in as well. Then I’ll more than likely sell the PDP.
I have the comp and threaded tactical E, this will be perfect for edc. Now make a G26 size one that takes all the mags and complete family
Several people have expressed interest in a G26 version.
nice i am tempted to leave my hkvp9 and try this as my edc
I think the 4.0C will make a great carry gun for a ton of people.
Looks good. Would be interesting to compare size w Springfield Hellcat Pro comp (that is probably the internal competition? then a Glock 19 maybe the Sig365 macro?? I see there is a larger version of this one, that has a compensator....
Been waiting. Wondering if I can grab just the slide and frame. Also wondering if the ported version is around the corner.
They mention the FCU a ton but I’m not sure about slide and frame availability. It would be nice if the platform has the same amount of support as the 365/320.
Looks like you found a good one! Will enjoy the next several videos. Can you mention the brand of ammo when you're putting rounds thru it? Thanks.
We were shooting 115 grain Fiocchi. We do shoot some Winchester white box through it after the video. No malfunctions with either ammo.
I just found out about this gun today and then get to see this. It's fate.
It’s release day. There’s going to be a lot of videos about it.
The gun is REAL.
Well I guess you are a real guntuber now.
Is that a good or bad thing?
@@averagemarksman Just keep it real like you do. Don't become a DisHonest Outlaw and a Lion Nior
😃😀😃😃
Great review. Can you comment or compare the pistol as in size wise, i.e. Glock 19 or others.
I’ll do some videos where we compare it to various pistols as we put a 1000 rounds through it.
I am definitely tuned in for this one.🫡 I am not really in the market for another 9mm, but the Echelon is interesting because of the optics mounting.👍
My biggest question, how does it compare to the OSP Hellcat for being snappy?
Definitely happy to see Springfield include the smaller channels in this launch, you do a great job on these reviews and I am sure that had to feel good when they reached out to you.👊
I’m going to go make the second video today. I wanted to wait to make the follow up video so the comments aligned and we could compare it to other models. I’m going to compare it to the XD Mod 3 today.
@@averagemarksman Excellent, I have the Mod 3 and plan on adding the Echelon Comp and Hellcat Comp to the family (moving away from another brand). Can't wait to hear your thoughts on the comparisons!
Would like to see you actually hitting the target ! Think it could improve your videos.
@@richardperry6411 the majority of videos do showcase the targets. This video was more focused on the gun. Check out the second video and let me know your thoughts.
Id love to see your thoughts on that holster if you can get one that's left handed.
I emailed Safariland about a left handed version but I never heard back from them. We will see if we can get one. I will say the right handed version is extremely nice.
They need to make this compact in 40 caliber
@@K499-w9c I’ve seen that requested by multiple people
@averagemarksman yeah 😂
I like how you go through the latest and greatest firearms available to the public! A nation well armed will never be taken over by the few Liberals!
Thanks for all of the support. It allows us to get our hands on the guns.
@averagemarksman Keep doing what your doing ! I watch along with a lot others!
Was considering the S&W Carry Comp but now that this is out idk what to do?!
I'd love to tell you I had that kind of connection but I don't. If anyone asks I'll let them know.
@@Magswap thanks for watching and commenting. It helps the channel a ton.
I'm curious as to how you got chosen to be sent that package? I also would like to see the video they sent you would be interesting
I'm curious too. I received an email that asked if I was interested. I said yes and a few weeks later I received an email with tracking and additional details about the product. They posted the video on the Springfield Armory TY channel.
I have 4 Echelons.
8 Hellcat Pro's which two are the comped barrels.
Thats quite the collection.
If you’ve shot the hellcat pro comp, how would you compare it to the echelon?
I’ve put a lot of rounds through the Hellcat Pro Comp (there’s a playlist on the channel). Once we put 1000 rounds through the 4.0C I’ll do a comparison.
How does this stack to the mete mc9l to you
Thanks for another great video, but Springfield is a name I won't ever go near.
Thanks for watching. There are a lot of people that feel that way.
I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE A LAUNCH KIT,,I WOULD BUY IT IT IF WAS OFFERED FROM SPRINGFIELD
I think plenty of people would purchase it.
Back in the day catholic schools would force left handed children to learn to be ambidextrous and ultimately use their right hand for everything.
My dad is one such case.
My right hand is pretty usefully but my eyes aren’t use to shooting right handed haha
so what's the deal, why this over Glock, M&P, etc.? It's a good looking gun
I think my pdp will get replaced 😅
@@hunter1028 I think a lot of PDP’s will get replaced.
Why do you keep calling it the “Echelon Comp”? It’s the Compact. The Echelon Comp is a 4.5 barreled gun with a chunk port.
@@jwb4bb because I’m a bum. Happens to the best of us. I edited the caption at the bottom for a reason.
@@averagemarksman a bum that got a free awesome gin! Congrats!
@ thanks, sir. I shoot a lot of random guns whether it’s on camera or not and I simply misspoke. It’s a fine shooting pistol.
Good content, I'd skip all the 200, 300, 400 rounds, etc. Just get back to us after 1,000 rounds and keep track of anything in those 1000 rounds . Every 100 rounds video update is a bit extreme imo.
Thanks for the feedback, Ethan. The goal is to provide a in depth for people so know one thinks the information is skewed.
This guy related to Ben Affleck?
Ha. That's a negative.
Sell me this please
The complete kit?
Now you dont buy this its the best dont find any criticism 😂
Oh there will be criticism if the gun has any issues.
I still like your channel u are one of few really honest I hope this channel grows up you deserved. 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
