I still feel The Holy Spirit on this song. I was worried about how I was going to buy back brakes as a pizza delivery driver and He sent the most unlikely brother from the church that not only bought the brakes but also offered to fix them as well! This morning when I woke up a bible app popped up Psalms 40:2 and it was on from there. I typed in this song and came across this video. All I can say is He will bring you out of the miry clay! God bless this ministry and you all keep doing what you are doing. It's Not in vain! 😊😊
I'm singing along in tears brothers. I was entangled by crime and drug addiction until I met Jesus the Son Of God who turned my life around. There's no better friend than Christ He's the Robe Of Righteousness that covers our nakedness glory and honour to His name. We're privileged to be called His Children please continue walking in holiness for the Rapture is at hand. Blessings from Nairobi. Shalom.
My father always tells the story of an old lady in church in the late 50s in Italy. She would rise every Sunday, and testify saying: God has saved me from the miry clay, and she would sing this hymn. All the youth of the church would laugh at her, but my father, who was 16 and unsaved (he would go to church just to see my mother, his fiancée), would hid his face and cry every time she sang.
Love this song to my heart. Jesus gave me this verses in Psalm 40 -1-6. This was the night before I got admitted in hospital for Brain Surgery. This was 2004 and he pulled me out of the deep pit and miry clay and by his stripes am healed and alive. Thank you Jesus for your word that healed me. Amen. Reginald. India.

This song from my childhood came to me as I cry tears of gratitude for being brought out of that place. I could only remember the chorus. When I was little, this was sang frequently but I couldn't remember the words. Thank you for sharing.
