i bought and read the book, but to hear Troy talk about the wedge between him and Po tugs at my heart.. cause as a black man, he truly cared for him as a brother would.. but when Po lost the job at Pepsi in Maine and money was getting funny with him dippin in and out of Harlem, plus with the loss of his mother and sister.. it’s like he had nothing to lose.. only if that little boy would’ve grown up to became that firefighter he dreamt of..

I remember watching Ears The Christ on Vlad and hearing him say that lifestyle is addictive. I never been in the streets dealing but I can understand how hard it is for someone to stay away from that lifestyle. Fast money is addictive for anybody. I can't imagine going from making thousands/millions to working a 9-5 living paycheck to paycheck I'd probably be sick as a dog. 🥴😂 Alpo was gone for 24 years he was only use to living a certain type of lifestyle. He should've listened to Tory because it seems like he had a lot of good things in the works it was just moving too slow for him but things just don't happen over night.

The two extremes, Guy & Po is really an oxymoron. Guy was told on by his former boss Nicky and mentor. Po, killed his best friend . Told on the man that helped him survive in D.C. "Wayne" . Yet the extreme is both ended up in the same Penitentiary. Guy, didn't flip on anyone because of his situation. Stayed focus,Got multiple degrees, including a doctorate, Ph.D. 38yrs later became a free man. Now able to tell his story. Hopefully with some redemption. Po came out and remained Po, to the day his life was taken away. I see why Troy, these two men was so interesting to you ....

I watched Tory's interview with Hassan and never heard him say that. I remember him saying Po was doing some things in the streets like he also stated in his book. He said Alpo wasn't doing things in the streets as serious as catching bodies.
It was when parole ended and his addiction to the limelight got him booted out of witness protection. With no supervision he was gradually going backwards. When Reed moved to Cali, Alpo asked him about a good weed connect. Alpo was first starting to dabble with selling drugs again when he died.
