This woman was so awesome teaching this I almost paid tuition for the next semester. No yapping, not taking forever to get to the point, straight to the point, voice keeps things fun and interesting. Not saying "Let's se how this works"(video transitions to what we came for).... but she starts talking about other stuff not applied. I was able to start using the media tab because she's not moving 274mph. You make timecoding easy with no mess involved and the instructions we follow actually FOLLOW AND WORK! thank you!!!!
Bro this is so well done. You nicely prepped for the tutorial with the top 3 common situations and simply and efficiently explained the process of each clip in an isolated manner, while not infringing on the continuity of the tutorial. So many tutorials are long and boring and don’t give info effectively, meaning you have to scrub around till u hit the right spot and try decipher what they did and why. Thank you! Subscribed 😇.
Thanks so much. You get us! We've had the same thoughts about other tutorials too.... We want to get people learning as quickly as possible. You've got a job to do and we want to get you back to it as quickly as possible. It's good to have you here, thanks so much.
I have a background in studio recording and MIDI but was wondering how to timesync multiple cameras and multiple audio recordings, this answered my core questions. I'm sure I'll have more shortly!
Excellent. Glad it helped. The tentacle system is excellent. There are alternatives from other companies too that range in price. Feel free to ask any further questions you need answers to.
Thanks for the demo! Curious about how you have your Speed Editor set up on an angle in front of your keyboard. That's a great idea. Are you using any particular stand?
Thanks for this video. Very well made. By the way, what audio recorder do you use? I am looking to buy a recorder that records 32 bit float and can handle timecode input.
Thanks so much. Using a Zoom F4 to record the audio on that shoot. It's not 32-bit float though. The new F8 and F6 are. I much prefer the form factor of the F8. Works better in a sound bag. SoundDevices MixPRE's also support timecode. But again, I prefer the form factor of the F8. We also use the Tentacle Track E's a lot. They are 32-bit float, and have timecode, but obviously are built for lavs.
@@team2films Thanks for the advice! Soon I will be shooting dialogue scenes for a short film I am producing, directing AND acting in...Lol. So I will boom a 416 shotgun mic and want to lav both actors with 32 bit float recorders for security. Need to get some Tentacle sync boxes for the single camera, and the new audio recorder I will buy. I guess it will be 2 Tentacle Track Es and two regular Tentacle sync boxes working with MovieSlate 8 as you guys have set up. Oh, I may need another TS box for the ipad? Thanks again. Happy creating!
So you turned your tentacle on (or connected it) after you started rolling? I'm not too sure, but I'm sure there is a workflow. Can you set an in point after the timecode is rolling. Does that help? Or create a sub clip that only includes the timecode portion of the clip? Might be worth giving that a try.
Hey , I didn't find a proper answer online for this How to use Auto Sync Audio Based on Waveform when the Audio and Video clips in diffrent bins in Media Pool, Kindly let me know asap. My audio in a bin my video in another bin just wanna sync them without moving both to same bin.
Cmd click in your bin tree to select more than one bin at the same time. Or add metadata to your clips and use smart bins to show all the clips at the same time. We cover stuff like this in our course! Thanks for watching. Glad you asked those questions.
@@team2films Great answer, Thank you so much this solved half my issue, but I have a time line with audio and video synced, I want to be able to do the same thing using using find in MediaPool so I can find the Video then find the audio in media pool then hit sync. now when I find video then find audio in media pool, I moved automatically to the Audio bin, and lose the selection of the video. is there a way?
Awesome tips 👍 ❗I have more questions when syncing via waveaudio from two cameras. Now the difficulty is that the two speakers have buttonholes that are not synchronized with the main track from the camera. The sound in the buttonholes is written in one channel or in two, but with poor volume sensitivity in one of the channels. The operator writes the material, not me. Timecode cameras do not support. I tried to synchronize everything as it is and got no result. After that, I transferred the sound from the buttonholes to one mono channel, which gives a good sound and still did not get the desired result. I've synced a couple of clips, and all the others are missing. Could you show similar problems in the video and how to solve them. Thank you in advance.
I’ve been going crazy all day. I’m new to this. I synced a few tc1 units to test this out.2 cameras with tc1 units plugged into the mic jack. Yup, audio time code was recorded but when I right click on both or either clip, there is no option to confer the clip to metadata time code. There are far fewer choices, in fact, than you have when you right click on a clip. Any idea what I’m doing wrong? (If I want to spend $150, I got the trial version of tentacle sync studio, and that worked perfectly, so I know the audio time code is recorded. Just can’t get it to work on my new install of Divinci! Help!! (Please)
Heya! It's possible to do everything you need in Resolve. The phrase you are looking for is Update Timecode from Audio Track. You'll see it when you right click on video clips in your media pool. Does that help?
@ I’ve tried so many times to find that “update time code from audio track” that my trackpad finger is raw! Even uninstalled and reinstalled the program. I can import the clips into Divinci, and when they are all in that bin, I right click on either one or all the clips, and unlike every video I’ve seen where there are
Hi, great video How would one synchronise clips that have been shot in 25 / 50 and 100 fps, that da vinci interprets as 25 fps (slowed clips) with this method.
Thanks. You can try reinterpreting your footage in its native frame rate (I.e. 50 and 100) using the clip attributes dialog. That means they will no longer play in slow motion, but it will now be possible to sync them.
Sounds like you are using TOD timecode on the BM Camera App? You can connect the BM Camera App directly to the tentacle for more accurate timecode. Have you tried that?
Thanks, this is the clearest demo I've seen on youtube as how to sync audio & video when using Tentacle Sync, etc. 😎😎
Thank you Walther. That’s much appreciated.
thanks for this knowlege

A nice clear and simple walk through about correcting timecode with resolve. One bit of the puzzle at a time.
Consumer camera nightmare!
So glad the video was helpful.

Straight to the point, very well explained! Thanks!
Thanks, so happy this video is still being watched.
Clear and exhaustive tutorial. Great job and thanks too share it with us!
Thanks so much for your comment. Glad you enjoyed the video
I don't understand why so few views and thumbs up.
A very good channel. Keep it up
Thanks Tomek! Appreciate you watching and taking the time to watch. Feel free to share :)

Ah wow! Thanks so much.
Thanks for the demo! Curious about how you have your Speed Editor set up on an angle in front of your keyboard. That's a great idea. Are you using any particular stand?
It's propped up on some wooden blocks, but I'm planning to get a 3d printed stand for it. Hope that helps.
@@team2films Appreciate the info! I might have to look into a 3D printed idea. I've got a friend that is big into it.
Great video thank you, question! How do you convert audio timecode into LTC on the iPad version of Resolve?
Thanks John
Good question! I’m not sure it’s possible. I’ll investigate.
You save my money 👍
Happy to help :)

Oops. Hit send by accident. Instead of 15 options, there are far fewer, and no option to update time code.
@ it’s di Vinci version 19. I even read the manual, and it said to do what you suggested but that option just isn’t there.
