I like this video. Good insight. Just cracked $950k in my dividend portfolio this last week. Almost 2 years now I started investing
I agree, congrats on your success. How did you get to 900k?
Okay. Thanks a lot. A finance manager I met her at a finance seminar in NY trades for me & she's Amy Ennpress Ellas. Research her.
Awesome, I know her too. my friend who's Amy Ennpress Ellas work colleague referred her....
& to be honest she's amazing. I put in 120k & couple months in, I'm over 755k. Cheers!!!
I still think its at an amazing value at current prices, the people that bought this around $45, absolutely got a steal!
I think I got mines around $48 and have been reinvesting the dividends.
I did
why do people upvote this guy?
@@Chris-wk8nu cool story
@@crohmer thanks I know
I was able to land 25K worth at 48.88 but unfortunately this was in a tax deferred account. Never selling and will just DRIP for who knows how long. Anything under 60 I still like at the moment.
wow 25k is a nice chunk.
I wish the standard of dividend distribution was monthly payouts. It's just so practical from an income perspective.
eh, if your living off them you really just live off a large cash pile and replenish quarterly or whatever. Its all the same in the end
@@jeffbarrett791 I agree, it does not matter in the big picture
I think that $O is a great one to own if you're already at or nearing FIRE, but I think its compounding days are behind it. Total returns over the past 5yrs is only 14.37% compared to the S&P's 94.89% and 10yr at 144.04% compared to S&P's 208.15%.
O and most quality REITs should have a banner year as interest rates fall. I've been putting a little more in VICI than O but both have my focus for the next 3-6 months
Was happy I was able to get my average down to $50 - I’ll be holding and dripping this one for the long term!
Thank you for the analysis. I've owned O for a while and recently decided to start buying more. The interest rate idiocy seems to be moderating, so I'm expecting to see an improvement in share price going forward. I'm adding 25% to my holdings now and looking forward to improving share value as we enjoy the fine dividend. Thanks, again. Cheers
thanks for your analysis. Just want to raise 1 question, is adopting the historical P/AFFO multiple to come up with today's intrinsic value a fair comparison given the historical P/AFFO was under a zero interest rate era? Thanks!
Bought in at 46.35 in October. Not planning on adding anything but drip at these prices. Since I don't see this taking up a too large part of my portfolio
October was an awesome month to buy indeed... I wish I hades bought more😢
Currently my position is 107 shares and it's approximately 3% of my portfolio. Taking off drip and using the dividend to build my schd position.
SCHD I don’t think has ever out performed the s&p500
@brandoningram1577 mostly adding schd and vym for diversification and rather than only having an etf from only one source I am adding vym as a kind of safety net... at least until each etf is 15% of my portfolio. I let individual stock get no higher than 3% and no etf above 15%... schd has had good returns in the past and should be a good add to my holdings. What etf do you suggest, open to any advice.
I like it under 60 . 50 was pretty sweet
Why are you not using NAV?
Good video Seems like most everyone here got in at 50 or below, I got in yesterday at 58.60, hopefully it doesnt drop too much in the short term
I bought in at $60 right before the dip to under $50. Was able to dollar cost average my basis down to $53. Company is still on sale imo buying more when I can
Loaded up on O again a few months ago. It is one of my larger holdings so for the time being I am good.
Fantastic high quality company. REITs are an okay sector that shouldn’t take up more then 20% of a total portfolio tbh as land management is a low margin business model, but this fantastic company is def a dividend investors friend

I wish schd would bring on board tbh. Wish they would broaden their horizon to all sections of stocks/reit and just focus on the dividend growth side.
I was underwhelmed by O in 2023. Sold half my shares last summer. It's been very slowly clawing its way back since the end of October but there are better REITs out there.
MAA is great, I also have ADC.
Sold to soon
I bought it at 47 euros, which should be like 48-49 Dollar 2 months ago
Just bought into O in 2023. I’m waiting for my 1099 form before I get deeper into O, I want to know what I’ll owe in taxes on the monthly dividends
Put it in a Roth
@@alohastateofmind3565 I would but I’ll want access to the funds before 59 1/2
That's right...only hold this in a Roth IRA with the drip on.
1:28 Does your chart compare with DRIP or without DRIP, because I think $O outperforms $SPY with DRIP. One consideration is that REITs are (I believe) unqualified dividends.
The drip buys on the dip. - I just made that up.
Very nice video.
Not sure why youtube loves this one so much. It's always hyped but way underperforms the S&P.
Look at its returns since it’s been publicly traded. It has way outperformed the S&P.
@@Dividendology I used VOO, so it cut off at Sept 2010. VOO has killed it in the last 13 years. When using SPX, O has won. but that would mean buying it decades ago to get that win. It's not bad, just overrated as it's living off the past.

Awesome video. Just purchased 50 shares at $56 !
That's fantastic.
I think that Realty Income has grown about as large as it can in its traditional markets and has therefore had to start making investments outside of its normal comfort zone in order to keep the growth going. That doesn’t really give me the warm-and-fuzzies.
Just purchased 8 shares at $56 !
The dividend growth is weak tho
Income Reality is a massive losing proposition. The dividend is 5.23%. That is pathetic. My CIT account gives me 5.05%. It is insured and relatively safe. So equity right? Nope. It has lost money for 5 straight years. For 5 years it has shown a loss. It has been living on its reputation for years. I dumped mine and the drag on my account was instantly released. I have also got rid of GAIN recently and STAG is on the brink. I do not have a spare 25 years so they can "turn it around". O is worthless.
Wouldn’t pay more than $52 for this
