KoRn at the height of their career. They were so on top of things back in the day... I have been a KoRn fan since the very beginning, and I remain as such to this very day.. but NOTHING tops KoRn from the 90's... I will always miss how they once were.. The original 5 members.. they had something magical. They still do, but there was just something VERY special about them back then. I will always miss the 90's. Such an awesome time for music!
Energy is crazy, crowd is on another level, but what really puts a smile on my face is seeing all the camera flashes in the crowd from the disposable cameras and ones people brought no cell phones…
The way the crowd is jumping up and down when they drop the beat in Blind the first time @ 7:00 is insane! The crowd looks like its pulsing as one almost!

While it was good music, considering there were over 1,200 injuries, 44 arrests, and four documented cases (likely many more that went unreported) cases of sexual assault, I'd really rather not have such a festival again.
This was the greatest concert and greatest set I’ve ever been to being in one of 100 pits and the crowd bouncing was insane can’t wait to see them on sat
I was there Rage Against the Machine killed it too. I thought they were the best. Both worked VERY hard. I was 18yrs old in 10th rowish for this . Gives me chills today and I'm 41yrs old .🤘🤘😜😜
I´m 20 years old. Grew up with my parents coming home after going to a limp bizkit concert. Another day it was korn, another day it was Deftones. I wish i was them in that time
Looking back the whole nu metal and specifically korn was so incredible.. the energy these songs took to do live basically took any melody and song structure out of it and it became this tidal wave of rhythm front to back looosely held together by the soft parts in Jonathan’s vocals ... even David plays so hard it like trips up at points.. this shit was insane ... that first part where they show the crowd when they start blind is absolute madness
This band lasted so long not because of talent, but because they have good hearts. They are good people, genuinely. That love energy attracts genuine people, and even attracts fake people to become genuine. Beautiful!
Fuck yeah, they are. While on his Christian tour, head had a show in little ass Minot, ND & somehow me & my old singer (shout out to Brenton Berdahl) managed to convince him to come kick it with us at our jam spot for like an hour. Which still stands as an absolutely unforgettable night in all our (my old band, SemiStranded) lives. Stand up dude, to say the least. How many people can say that? 🤯

I was obsessed with korn at this time. Still breaks my soul into a million little pieces.
JamesGames101 There are some clubs in certain states that are good for metal in USA.Chicago, Detroit, pretty good metal crowds and Maryland Deathfest usually has good crowds. In the northeast NY, Nj, Boston, Philly etc.. Hardcore shows usually do really well..I believe hardcore does well in California as well..But lots of metal shows without a major draw ala Manson, Korn, Slipknot aren't going to draw like in Europe..Maybe it will rebound, who knows??For unreal crowds at metal shows look up South America especially Chile..Unreal!! Obscene Extreme fest seems to draw crazy crowds as well...Cheers
Damn son, you were in 11th grade when I was listening to these guys at the same time in 3rd. Probably wildly inappropriate for a kid my age but helped me deal with my parents split and life that came after.
Class of '99 here as well. Among friends and peers it was always a pissing contest about who has been listening to what band the longest. Now we're all almost 40 and get to feel old knowing that all this was 20-25 years ago and trying to be a music snob never meant shit.
KoRn will live on! There will be children rocking out to KoRn 50 years from now! And the nursing homes of the 2050s onwards will have to get used to this music! 🤣
Korn was so powerful in the 90s that the crowd literally liquidated. Edit: Before you write me an angry comment telling me that Korn is still powerful, I did not mean to suggest that they have lost the power to liquidate crowds of people. I was just stating the time period of this concert which happened to be in the 90s. Korn can still liquidate crowds.
Everyone always talks about the opening of this show with "Blind", but no one talks about how epic their close was with "My Gift To You". Amazing performance from start to finish. But, all the lighters in the sky and Davis throwing a fit while screaming at the end, such energy that cannot be duplicated, ever again. The tail end of the 90's and music was never as great again. EPIC
+SLIPKNOT2015 You've clearly never heard of Rock Am Ring.. considering your name is slipknot I find that very disturbing.. since slipknot made it their lifelong goal to be the final set on Rock Am Ring.

I got to see Korn in 2014 when they toured with Slipknot and to this day they were the best band I’ve seen live. I was supposed to see them again in 2020 but COVID happened 😭
I just saw them for the first time this summer in Detroit and I totally agree they are the best band I’ve ever heard live. I feel like until you hear them live you can fully appreciate their music. It’s just a whole different level live the sound they make is unlike anything else I’ve ever heard.

Will never forget this show for as long as I live. Just after my 18th birthday. Ranked in the top 5 of my life. I'm about 15 feet back from the front of the stage, being crushed in a sea of blissful chaos. Completely agree with +Dan Zotter, NO FUCKING CELLPHONES, just people living in the moment, looking at the band with their eyes and not through a screen.
davidofpiano423 life was so much better. In 1999 I was graduating High School and life was so simple. You were the SHIT if you had a beeper, pager, whatever you wanted to call it. My best time in life was riding bike everywhere and not a care in world. No cell phones is right! A much better time. Now everyone has smartphones and most don't know what a beeper, pager was! Lol 35 I feel old!
Head's range is honestly incredible. Not only is he an amazing guitarist along with Munky, but he can also make that low gravely voice like in Lowrider AND reach that high falcetto like on the backing vocals for Got The Life
I’m more of a fan of John Otto from Limp but Sylveria is perfect for Korn and what he does. I do wonder how Otto would have sounded in some Korn tracks though.
Ummm close , been to probably 100+ 90's shows, got to meet them in 96 at a tiny little club called the Roxy in NY, they blew the fucking rooof off that place played thw entire first album, that's all they had .. But honestly in that era nobody liquified a crowd like Pantera!! Im talking grown men scared for their asses!! I got three broken ribs at tye Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC at a Pantera show.. Man the nineties were fuckin absolutley hands down the best era , you had all the old shit plus all the new upcoming acts like korn, Incubus, OZZFEST 1998 Giants Stadium , Black Sabbath "Full set, OZZY, also "full set", Incubus, Pantera, marylin Manson, Sevendust, Sepultura, coal Chamber, and a dozen other bands equally awesome that I cant remember because the drugs were also very good in the 90's!!!! Damn im old, I saw Metallica back when they all still had long hair, and we didnt know what to make of that Black album yet?
I've always thought that crowd singing and just watching the live wave pool of people go from front to back was and still is one of the most amazing live music moments I've ever seen. I've seen KoRn 4x throughout different points of their career starting at Life is Peachy and they've never disappointed, hell I even saw Head by himself when he was doing his "Christian" thing by himself lol and he was still good.
When I first saw KoRn, I was 12 years old and it felt the same way as when you're in line for a roller coaster but then you get on and you're like this is awesome let's go again
The world may never get to see a show like this again! With this kind of energy, and intensity, and most importantly this many people gathered in one place to experience the music as one!

Such an awesome time for music!
kornfreak78 nailed it. They are stil good live I think but less energy which is natural for an older band. This was a kick ass set.
I disagree, obviously they are older. But they still have a lot of energy, and still make great music.
