Beautiful. At first it almost like an Erik Satie piece… but I quickly noticed my soft internal calm and realized I don’t describe my feelings of Satie that way. Again, just beautiful.
I think I can hear that Satie reference in this tune, too. Reminds me a bit of the musical flavor of an older Windham Hill CD titled "The Impressionists" that I liked very much and had to re-purchase a couple of times after "loaning" my personal copy out to friends.
Thank you Mr York...very beautiful and calming...I will suggest to my doctor that your music is prescribed for the general well-being of the world. In this piece I hear cadences and phrasing which remind me of 'Home'...another great favourite. Bravo :)
@@AndrewYorkguitar As your art touches us...I have to smile though...tell me if it's a stretch to suggest that combinatrics applied to 'Home' contributes to Dreams for Paul...all I can see with great pleasure are apricots being partitioned ! ... enchanting echoes.
Beautiful. There is a dreamy overtone to the notes. Yet a black and white signature of the spaces in between . I wish I could do that, Paul's so lucky. The world is grateful for you. From Humboldt.
Dear Andrew, This music is of great emotional density, and each melodic note fits wonderfully between these chords, certain accents of which remind me of those beautiful gymnopédies of Satie. I caught myself whistling the melody while trying to guess its unfolding, and from there, perceive your melodic and harmonic intentions always so surprising and inventive. That's wonderful !! Thank you for this musical moment which made me travel. Like 257 Musical friendships from France, Phil
What an incredibly open and spacious atmosphere this piece has. I love the contrapuntal (if that's the proper term) response lines that never quite go to the expected places, and in so doing hold the listener's attention and interest. Just lovely.
Thank you very much for your beautiful comment, Timothy. That's what I try to do, to hold the listener's attention by trying to make my pieces interesting.

Just beautiful, Andrew! I always look forward to hearing your new pieces. It made me wonder- how long did it take you to compose this piece? You are so talented I wonder if you can make something so beautiful in a day, a week? It would be interesting to me to know more about your creative process.
Kevin, creating a piece can take from one day to a process spread over months. I go into detail about my creative process in "Andrew's Den". You can try a free trial if you like. andrewsden.com/
Hey dude! I’m really considering joining your online workshop for the lessons. I desperately want to learn Numen and Home, but the tutorials seem pretty short? Are there full lessons on those pieces? Cheers man!
