The reason why he got screech during the ending cutscene is because the game was treating room 100 as if it was dark even though visually it wasn’t dark, this is only effected by “Power Shortage” & “Lights Out”, but I’m not sure if you’d get the badges if you beat it and Screech still kills you

Since it's a bug involving Screech and does not benefit the player there's no way Lsplash will patch it unless by some miracle he stops buffing Screech and Rush which the fandom never saw him do.
