Looks sooo good! And easy! Love church cookbooks! Memories of the ones in it....not always women....and their favorite recipes. Thank you for sharing! 🍒🍒.
looks delicious-I have had this before and it is soooo good - CHERRY is my favorite. I love how you give the people credit from your church--Alot of people wouldn't do that.
Tammy, I just love how you said inches of pineapples instead of ounces! You threw a smile on my face and I like how you have been telling people ‘how it is’ like about all the washing your hands complaints AND “what if you don’t like sour cream can you leave it out or substitute something else?” You said “Well, just don’t make the recipe lolololol My grandma used to make this recipe” with strawberry. My Aunt Gladys use to make it with blueberries when the grape jello came out on the market. How does the Pretzel Salad compare to this recipe? isn’t there just pretzels in the bottom as a crust like. I love this recipe best!!!💕💕💕
You have me drooling, again. You make the yummiest looking desserts! I love both sour cream and cream cheese. I can add vanilla and sweetener to sour cream and eat it like a dessert when I'm out of the items needed to make a dessert but have a craving for something sweet and creamy. Tfs 🍨😋🍰
Love the simplicity of this dessert. The topping is what I use on my fruit salad, just thinned a little with fruit juice. It's the only fruit salad dressing my grandchild will eat. TFS.
I do a very similar dessert, using raspberry jello, and frozen raspberries, I layer the frosting over half the jello and refrigerate for about an hour and then add jello and frosting, then sprinkle with lots of pecans! Yum, right you said delicious! Beautiful girls!!
So nice to see your daughter and I know you’re proud to have the girls on video for us as well! Love the recipe for the cherry cheese cake salad yum! Love ya! Harriet Hillary
My mom made this jello and it was great. She also made one with a crushed pretzel crust; the cream cheese layer next; followed by the jello/fruit. Both are really good.
My mama made this salad with raspberry jello and canned whole berry cranberry sauce with a can of mandarin oranges. Love the topping, my mom added vanilla to the cheeses mixture. Deeelicious.
Hi Tammy! Wow! This was one of my grandmother's favorites! I've not had this in a long time. It was always SO good! Sometimes she would change it up by using peach jello and peach pie filling. Thanks for the "reminder" because I know my crew will enjoy it, too. Already have added items to my grocery list! Definitely will make this over the weekend! Thanks for sharing the recipe and for another video, y'all!
YUM! Scrumptious! I make one similar using can blueberry pie filling, with a cream cheese topping with pecans. I’m definitely going to make this. Love cherries. Thanks Tammy. Y’all have a wonderful Easter! He is Risen!✝️
I’m totally making this exACTly like you have ~ I love Cherry anything. Down the Road I may try other combos too! Something Orange or Lemon~ even the Blueberry. But for me the Cherry will end up being my Favorite I just know it. Thanks Tammy! Happy Holy Week to you & yours 🙏✝️💕❤️ 🍒 🍒
I made this for Easter dinner. IT WAS GREAT! sugar free jello and stevia in the topping layer instead of sugar. The rest of the dish was the same as you listed. Let me tell you what. The flavor in this is intense, but such a change from tasteless sugar free desserts. I had no sugar balance issues for Easter this year. THANK YOU.
My favorite would be cherry as well. When I was in college, I went home with a friend of mine and her mother made something similar to this. I think it was her own concoction. It had pretzels on the bottom and then the cherry and a topping with the cream cheese and then little cherries on the top. It was delicious. I think I'll try it without the pineapple and maybe a pretzel bottom and see if it works out. I would assume that the prezel bottom would be similar to making a graham cracker crust.
I will definitely try this with “no sugar added” cherry pie filling because my husband is diabetic. Thanks for sharing. Happy Easter to your family. Love you❤️
This looks delicious! I made your Sweet Potato Cobbler again yesterday using Bruce's Yams. I just love that recipe and will have to try this one as well. 😊
Omgosh this looks so delicious- definitely going to make this one Tammy - we love cherries n pineapple ! I ordered the hard to find Apricot Jello recently - it’s getting harder to find for some reason - for a dessert with cream cheese n pineapple- it’s similar to yours 💛
I would love this with some cranberry in it! You slayed me saying “Then just don’t make this dessert!” LOL. I don’t get people who say stuff like that and really expect an answer. It isn’t like they are trying to find something for sugar free. ❤️ ~~Sharon
looks delicious....I'm diabetic so, I will try it with the cheery pie filling with not added sugar, and substitute the sugar with swere. Every recipe can be alternated to fit your needs, thank you Tammy, I really appreciate your videos.
Yum. I have used nonfat plain Greek yogurt as an alternative to sour cream. Can't tell the difference. Also the way we make that up here is a little different. We first grind up salty pretzel rounds and mix with butter and Pat it into your pan then we add jello mix and then cream cheese mix. The saltiness of the pretzels and sweetness of jello and then cream cheese. Yummy yummy yumkins.
"Come back and see me now" just what my momma used to say. Another fantastic video Tammy. Thank you for all this amazing content. You are my fav on UA-cam. Love and blessings from England x
I make this blueberry filling and raspberry jello but now you're giving me other ideas. Topping is so delicious could just eat that alone. Hope you have a blessed Easter.
I use cream cheese, powdered sugar and cool whip in the topping, and I use frozen strawberries instead of pie filling, but I am definitely trying your version this Thanksgiving. Looks delish!
I made blueberry today with grape jello. Sprinkled pecans on top of cream cheese. I eat it for dessert. I only had one box of grape jello so I had to use a box of strawberry jello to substitute.
Looks so good going to try it I make one that's a little different but I'm going to try yours thanks for sharing it God bless you Chris and family stay safe
Tahoot with pretty... just get a spoon in there and dig it out... It looks so good! The lime with pineapple and pecans is really good too... yummy! God bless...
I use green jello add chopped walnuts and chopped celery bottom layer ,top layer sour cream and cream cheese and sugar top layer soooooo good. I'm going to try the one you just made. 😊❤🙏🐰🐇
My Grandmother made one that I have misplaced the recipe for. It was one around in the 60s. I know it had cherry jello, pineapple, dark pitted canned cherries, cream cheese and pecans. You heated the cherry juice and added the jello and sugar and cooked that till the sugar and jello dissolved. Then you mixed the jello mixture with the cherries, pineapple, cream cheese and nuts. As you stirred the cream cheese into the hot sugar and jello it melted into the liquid. I do not remember how much sugar that you added. Grandmother called it a Cherry Mess. It made an 9 inch square pan full. You could see the cherries, pineapple, and nuts and the cream cheese just was flecked into the jello. I loved to eat it for breakfast. I am gonna check with Mom when I see her at Easter. I am sure she has the recipe but her stuff is so unorganized she probably has no idea where it is.
Looks sooo good! And easy! Love church cookbooks! Memories of the ones in it....not always women....and their favorite recipes. Thank you for sharing! 🍒🍒.
My mom made this thank you for the wonderful ❤️ reminder..she been gone sence 1981..I'll have to make this in her honor..

We used to eat these at church my mom used lime jello and pineapple. Looks good!
I make this hello recipe ALL the time! It’s an old recipe. Came from a friend of my Grandma’s. They’ve both passed away. It’s my favorite!!!
I'm reminded of church homecomings when I was a child, making this Easter morning!! Orange with crushed orange pieces. Thank you.

Tfs

I made this this afternoon, was not expecting much but it was delicious. I will make this again. I made a half recipe. Turned out great!!!
Love the simplicity of this dessert. The topping is what I use on my fruit salad, just thinned a little with fruit juice. It's the only fruit salad dressing my grandchild will eat. TFS.

Use orange jello with cranberries
Great jello salad. We like walnuts on top 🍒
looks delicious....I'm diabetic so, I will try it with the cheery pie filling with not added sugar, and substitute the sugar with swere. Every recipe can be alternated to fit your needs, thank you Tammy, I really appreciate your videos.
I am diabetic too, but not real creative as of yet on recipes. I eat a lot of salads and chicken, some fish and shrimp.
