We had a super fun weekend! Ranger loves being on the water. It’s his fav thing to do! And the dinghy rides too!

Wow. What an absolutely Idyllic trip. And a true fish fest. You knocked it out of the park. Sour dough bread, tick. Salmon, tick. Avocado with both not sure as I have never mixed them, but you got me thinking now. Salmon on sunflower and pumpkin seed bread ( toasted ) has been a go to snack for me for years , with a hefty helping of mayonnaise, but you've but me to shame. Got a feeling I'm going to be waddling around for a while now as I try to replicate those dishes. Just got to remember not to do all of them in one day. Thank you, fantastic vid.

You have a Superfan here in western Washington state: Our Great Dane Willow perks right up when she hears Jennifer and Derek's voices. and she'll take up her favorite spot in front of the TV to see what Ranger is up to. She gets excited for the fishing, whales and bears too!! It must be a universal doggie thing. Looking forward to more fun, you guys are obviously REALLY enjoying your Nordhavn.

Loved your Dick Proenneke quotation. Your videos are similar in some ways, “Alone in the wilderness”, just 56 years later. I was wondering, when you take Ranger for his daily duties and he leaps off the dingy or kayak onto shore, would he go after a bear or would he listen to you and stop? Worries me.
Another question, why when I went fishing with you we just do that, we fish? Don’t catch nothing, just fish. You don’t really go boating every weekend, you go “eating”. You just happen to travel by boat. Looks like you had a great trip, as always. I better travel up there next year for Fathers Day and go out “Catching & Eating”with you guys. Love you both, & Ranger too! ❤
Didn’t think you knew Alone In the Wilderness. Haha. We used to watch that on Discovery Channel If you want to catch fish you have to go out and try lots haha not just a few hours out front of the bay lol 😂. Ranger is good at coming back when we call him. We have stopped him mid otter attack and he comes right back fast in the kayak! 🐕🦺🐕🦺. Such a good pup!
What is the inflatable kayak you’re using. Is it heavy and Are you happy with it
It’s a an Advanced Elements Tandum convertible Kayak. It’s amazing! So stable too. No it’s not heavy at all. We have the drop stitch floor in ours and it’s so good.
